what did you get for christmas? (2022 edition) 🎄🎁

My mom and step-dad do a Christmas game for all of their adult children where we pull numbers out of a hat and the numbers correspond with random gifts. So this year from the Christmas game my husband and I got:
- a ton of candy/snacks
- a new fire tablet
- a dice game
- portable lantern for camping
- back scratcher
- $50 Amazon gift card
- wireless charger
- yahtzee
- variety of alcohol

My brother got me some cute sandals I wanted and a movie theater gift card. My best friend got me a crossbody bag, t-shirts, and gift cards. My mother-in-law got me a blanket and some chocolates. And my mother-in-law took my 6 year old to the store to pick out gifts for me and my husband and he picked out a neck massager and foot massager for me lol This was definitely a good Christmas!

I think the best gift I received was actually giving a gift to my grandparents though. My irl friend is a wonderful artist who does portraits on rocks, and I got her to do one of my grandparents dog and gave that to them. My grandad, who is very stoic, broke down into tears when he opened it It was literally the most heart warming thing ever

- this was a week or two before Christmas but I won a giveaway from an online sewing shop I like.. a $20 voucher and sewing pattern for a bag!
- Does stuff from TBT count? I got cool art from the Secret Santa Exchange, and received my gift collectibles on Christmas

Holy heck, a lot. I've never gotten this much stuff especially as an adult, but we went to my partners' families house for Christmas and got stuff from my family.

From my immediate family:

• Cute pink My Melody socks
• Pink ruffled lace socks for Lolita
• A pink rose crown for Lolita
• Pink sweatshirt that says "my tummy hurts but I'm being really brave about it"
• A shoe organizer

And then from my partners family:

• 4 lbs worth of candy (?!?!)

• Persona 5 Royal for Switch (I played the original when it came out, but never got to P5R, so I'm excited! I'm sure it'll keep me occupied until BoTW 2 comes out or even past it asksks)
• a no-hat Ralsei plush that my parents are incredibly charmed by
• my brother got me this really cute yarn bowl that has a cat on it!

I'm seeing my brothers in January, so we decided to hang on to our gifts and exchange in person. That'll be a fun thing to look forward to.

Best part of Saturday was having time to visit with everyone. And I made hot chocolate from scratch (first time with the recipe, so I told them they were guinea pigs), and it came out great! Everyone loved it and I think I'll make that my thing to do each year now.
