Favorite Sea Animal

hmm… this is a tough one. there are so many sea animals that i love. 😭 if i had to try and choose a favourite, it would most likely be great white shark, stingray, or beluga whale! though, i love sea bunnies, leaf slugs, orcas, sea otters, manatees, manta rays, and dumbo octopuses as well. 😭

sea animals and creatures as a whole are so fascinating! i would love to do more research on all of the different kinds there are.

I grew up next to the ocean, so I have always been obsessed with Whales and Seals, as I would go to the docks as a kid to see the little harbour seals swimming about, as well as going on Whale watching boat trips. I remember when I was 12 years old, my dad took us kids in his friend's boat, because his friend knew where the Orca whales were!!! It was like our own private whale watching adventure! It was one of the most incredible experiences of my life... I almost cried lol! Since I grew up watching Free Willy, and absolutely adoring those movies, to see an actual Orca up close, in it's natural habitat was life changing! They are gorgeous animals!

i love jellyfish so much, especially the really big ones with the big frills and ruffles trailing behind them as they swim. yes, they are nearly as tall as me and some jellyfish species could straight up sting and kill me within minutes but STILL.. i love jellyfish.

I love jellyfish too I think they are so interesting. They are so simple yet they dominate ocean space.
I am interested in deep ocean fauna. Especially life on the seafloor. The conditions there are so extreme!

Hmmm, I haven’t really thought about this before. Axolotl are quite cute as well as star fish. Also any sort of squishy bioluminescent type creature is pretty cool to me.

I like a lot of sea creatures, but my favorite would probably have to be the manatee! And I'll give some honorable mentions to sea turtles, whale sharks, jellyfish, orcas, sea lions, and humpback whales

There are too many, I like pretty much everything that lives in the water. I love whales, I saw one dived under our boat once, it's so big! Octopus, sea turtle, jellyfish, stingray, sea slug, sea otter

I've always been partial to seahorses. Don't know why - I just do. An interesting piece of trivia about me: when I was younger, I always used to "wish upon a seahorse" for good luck.

Seahorses!!!!

Not sure where my colored in shiny horsea image is, but here’s when I got it originally before I got her colored in!

Realistically my favourite marine/aquatic animal is an otter.

But I JUST discovered sea sheep exist and theyre so darn cute. Mfs like a floating cotton ball. A wombo combo of cuteness and uniqueness. Its fluffy exterior is not just for show – it serves a purpose by helping it stay buoyant, making the sea sheep an adorable and efficient swimmer. Beyond its aesthetic charm, the sea sheep also plays a crucial role in maintaining marine ecosystems. Apparently they're the only animal that can photosynthesise as well.

LOOK AT IT

I’ve always found the sea snake to be rather interesting especially since they are extremely venomous yet will not usually bite humans unless startled or in self defense.

magicaldugong.

no disrespect to narwhals or seals but dugongs are my new favourite homie. bro's smiling

I love a lot of sea animals, but whale sharks are definitely up there. 😇

It's honestly hard to just name one marine animal. 😭 I love so many of them. All of the seals and sea lions (especially the Australian/brown fur seal and the Australian sea lion), hammerhead shark, nurse shark, jimble jellyfish, basically all the jellyfish, blue ringed octopus, sea stars, all the bivalve mollusks (especially Pinctada maxima), squid, blue swimmer crab, dugong, little penguins, all penguins, sea otters, manta rays, sting rays, lots of pufferfish, and lots of other fish, too. 🐟🐠🐡🦈

I did a presentation on whales once when I was in school, I learned a lot about them and gained an appreciation for them that I still have today.

I also really like sea turtles they are just so cute!
