Pierrot's Parlor
In this event, we want to see you create an Animal Crossing design in a tattoo art style!
Everyone has heard of the Freak Show attractions that accompany travelling carnivals. This event takes inspiration from the concept of the Tattooed Man/Lady. We are looking for you to create an Animal Crossing design drawn in existing tattoo art styles (see FAQ section for examples). We'll be looking carefully at composition and style choice when selecting staff favourites!

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. How will the winners be decided?
A. The winners will be selected by the TBT staff team.
Q. What materials am I allowed to use for my tattoo design?
A. This is a standard drawing contest, so you are not able to use any materials to enhance your project. Please stick to pen, pencil, paint, crayon, oil pastels, chalk, etc on paper/card/canvas if working traditionally. The exception would be if you happen to have access to tattoo equipment, in which case synthetic skin would also be permitted as a medium.
Q. What are some tattoo styles?
A. Some terms you can search for inspiration include: American traditional, neo traditional, new school, realism, watercolour, blackwork, black & grey, fine line, tribal, irezumi, etc. You are not limited to these styles. If you're unsure if your style inspiration would fit this event, feel free to shoot @Chris a message with some references.
