Help me sleep!

I actually advise against milk. At least, not cold milk. It has sugar content (albeit a small amount) that can make it more difficult to sleep. It's why I've traditionally used milk as a means of waking myself up. Hot milk is age-old remedy to aid sleep, but I've never had any luck with it. I presume that it's more to do with hot beverages in general being relaxing than milk having any helpful qualities.
Ah, you’re right. I forgot about that. It seemed to work for me though, and I had it raw. Maybe it was placebo, maybe the sugar didn’t stick.

I imagine different people react differently to different levels of sugar, so the sugar content in milk might just not be substantial enough for you. So if that's the case, it might work well for you. I just find it to have the opposite effect, which is interesting because I used to be able to drink caffeinated beverages like coffee and soda shortly before bed and not face any difficulty sleeping. Now I face difficulty sleeping no matter what I do, so if sugar or caffeine end up keeping me awake, it's not like I can tell the difference anymore. 🤷‍♀️

Sometimes exercising during the day can help tire me out enough for a good sleep... But usually I am not motivated enough to exercise :)

Other daytime things would be just to get exposed to daylight, keep a regular wake/sleep time, avoid blue light before bed (like computers and cell phones) or wear glasses to filter out the blue light. The glasses look a little dorky, but they really do help!
