What Are You Happy About Today?

♡ I woke up early this morning. It feels nice being able to take your time in the early hours. Definitely has to do with me sleeping earlier - Midnight isn't ideal, but it's better than it was the night before. I'm gonna try to aim for 10-11 PM now. I'm currently chilling with a cup of coffee and some SoaD music. ☕🎵

♡ I got pictures of my grandma's kittens! I can't get over how adorable they are. 😭 I also got to see them the past few days and they're really playful, Minette tried to climb my leg at least three times now. XD

♡ Continued writing one of my fanfics last night, I'm at 1.2k words now! I'm nowhere near done the story, so I'm curious to see what my word count is at the end. 📝

♡ I played a ton of Zelda: TotK during the weekend. I haven't really advanced in terms of main quests, but I did a ton of exploration. My favorite part about the game so far are the caves, so I get really excited whenever I discover one. 🎮

♡ I did some laundry over the weekend and washed my blankets yesterday, so I feel clean and refreshed. 🧺

♡ We made hamburgers in cooking class yesterday, and they were delicious. I used to not like them all that much, but that's because the patties are always too thick when my parents make them. I find that really flattening the patties before cooking them makes the burgers better (for my tastes, at least), so I'll keep that in mind for future reference. 🍔
 
- I started my internship today, and it all went pretty well! I'm kinda happy with my schedule too, I'm hybrid working so only need to go into the office once a week, I'm working from home the other days 🙂

- My mum went shopping while I was gone, and bought the Aldi banana pancakes I wanted to try as well as lots of fruit

- The weather was really good today, perfect temperature, slightly windy, and sunny ☺️
 
*⁀➷ i had my psychiatry assessment today, and it went pretty well! the psychiatrist was super nice, and i got to bring up quite a few of my concerns with her. i didn’t get all the answers i wanted today, but i have a semi-treatment plan now and will likely be going back on medication in the foreseeable future, so i’m hopeful 🫶

*⁀➷ i also had another pretty chill day at school! i only had my morning class to worry about since my psychiatry assessment took place during my afternoon classes, so i didn’t have much school stuff on the roster today 😅 none of my teachers assigned anything new either, so i have another night to myself to just relax! i’ve had so many of those lately (a contrast to the past month lol), and i am so so grateful ☺️

*⁀➷ i have the day off school tomorrow as well! i had to get up extra early this morning, so i’m looking forward to sleeping in a bit tomorrow!

*⁀➷ bonk was being extremely silly and goofy during a phone call i had this morning! my dad gave her some catnip (he is her drug dealer 😔), and she was practically doing somersaults and turning into some sort of contortionist 😭 i didn’t get any pics sadly, but she was so silly and cute <3

*⁀➷ my friend sent me a photo of an axolotl her and her gf saw!! i love axolotls so so much, and the fact some of my friends and fellow forum homies think of me when they see one is so 🥹

*⁀➷ did my daily self-care!

☾ I played a little more Stardew Valley!
☾ Got a couple more bromides and mini-booklets for my collection! Finally got some things that worked for the back cover of the photo album I've been using.
☾ My parents and I watched SolidarityGaming's first episode of New Life! It's gotten me excited for OrionSounds' POV too.
☾ I started working on another rubber band bracelet!
☾ And I've gone back to levelling my team in Pokémon HeartGold! A couple of my team members are over level 80 now woooo ✨
 
Today was a fantastic Tuesday!

- I woke up on time and got a good amount of work done today. 📊

- I did a bunch of self-care tasks, got groceries, and did my laundry. 💅

- Loved on my kitties some and let them into my room. 🐱

- I transferred all my Pokemon from the older games to Scarlet/Violet with the new Home update and am playing a bit more of some video games currently. 🎮

- The Texas Rangers baseball team beat the Detroit Tigers again today, this time 10-6. ⚾ 🔥
 
Today I have mostly animal related happies:

- Last night I saw Mortimer, the bat, for the first time this year. He's returned to his usual perch on my back porch. 🦇
- I saw Olive, the bunny, through the window while I was working. 🐇
- I watched a bunch of small blackbirds through the window as well.

- I heard a noise on the back porch and peeked through the window to see a woodpecker. Unfortunately, it was putting holes in our porch railing, but it left on its own while I was trying to decide if I should interrupt it. It was really adorable the way it kept tilting its head to listen, though. 🐦
- Only three more days of work until my vacation! Today wasn't a good start to the week, but I can make it. 😤

  • The weather was really nice.
  • This point sounds unusual to some, but my dad came back from The Philippines and I picked him up at the airport. I felt happy seeing him again since his trip lasted for a month.
  • I got to play more of Tears of the Kingdom, beating up more enemies to use their monster parts to my advantage. I also managed to uncover more things related to the main quest and to avoid spoilers, let’s just say that the dots are starting to connect with each other.
  • Feel free to skip this point. On my way to pick up my sister from school, I could not believe that I saw a Lotus Elise 111R (Series 2)! It was making a left at an intersection of all places (of course lol) and I legit said out loud “IS THAT A LOTUS ELISE?!?” Anyways, that’s my first time seeing a Lotus branded car in person, so that makes it the 45th unique manufacturer on the list!

  • Not a lot happened, but it was another day of pleasant sunny weather!
  • I pretty much got to relax at home for an entire day.
  • I made a couple of decals on Inkscape!
  • I played Gran Turismo 7 and did a few miscellaneous things, including applying some decals on a new helmet design I’ve been working on! I’ve been using the same design back in 2022 during my time playing GT Sport. I’ll say that it really made me smile putting some freshly made decals on there!
  • I played Tears of the Kingdom as well! Just doing some exploring here and there while clearing a few side quests.
  • I had a very rad chat with @/xSuperMario64x lol. We got to talk about a lot of things and I really enjoyed the silly vibes with him. And this bit is actually from last night, but Bug also surprised me with a drawing and please excuse me for the caps lock, BUT WOW I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT.
Of course, it's the iconic Silver Fox and Philippine Eagle just having a great time, except the latter is driving a Volkswagen Sambabus! I jokingly asked Bug if it has been engine swapped and he said maybe, so they're probably going over 200 km/h in that thing. 😂 Oh, and the musical notes are in rainbow colours too which is a nice touch since I know for a fact that he absolutely loves rainbows!

- Had a deep, long sleep last night, and it was nice not having to get up super early despite having work.

- My first working from home experience! Did not actually do much at all, just a bunch of induction type of stuff online because my access hasn't been set up yet, but still nice to earn money too lol. Overall some good experience!

- Since I had so much free time this morning/afternoon I managed to finish off my travel journal entries from Japan last month :ROFLMAO:

- Had a bath, watched some YouTube, did laundry, and ate some nice food
 
Today I'm happy because,

- I got up on time and have been productive today at work. 📊

- The Rangers didn't complete the sweep, but at least made it close and ended up taking 2 out of 3 from the Tigers in the end. ⚾

- I was able to reminisce about my mom without being sad while looking up at the blue sky. I wonder how proud of me would she be if she saw how far I've made it and the strength I continue to exhibit on a daily basis without her. ☀️

- After I finish my work I'm going to go chill in the pool and then play some video games! 🎮
 
☾ I watched a few Youtube videos with my family! We got to see fWhip's first episode of New Life, Danny Gonzalez's latest video, and my mom and I also watched CoryxKenshin play Deppart (all of which just about killed me from laughing so much omg).
☾ My Pokémon training in HeartGold is going really well! I got my Jumpluff to level 100 (with the help of a few Rare Candies hehe) and a couple more of my team past level 80. I might be able to max everyone out before I get a Chansey swarm at this rate ahahaha
 
Today I'm happy because:

- An issue I had to deal with at work all day yesterday was fixed this afternoon. Hoping now I can get back on track to finish the week in good shape.
- I got a break from the rain today and temperatures are warming back up.
- I had a good massage therapy session.
- I went by the pet store on my way home to get my dog a new bed and saw lots of cute animals there: kittens, hamsters, birds, reptiles.
- My dog loves his new bed! He's sleeping soundly in it right now. He normally likes bolster beds, but I couldn't find any that looked or felt nice. So I decided to try a donut bed. I'm so happy he likes it!
- Two more days of work to go!
 
i almost didn’t post today since the heat here is honestly making me so lethargic and fatigued (i already miss winter LOL), but i wanted to check in with ya’ll 💜 hope ya’ll have a good night, make sure to take care of yourselves 🫶

*⁀➷ i received my marks back for a couple of assignments i completed last week! i got full marks on one, and 14/15 marks on the other! 🥳💪🏻 i’m honestly so astonished by how well i’ve done mark-wise this year; i know i’ve still more assignments coming, plus my culminating assignments, but i’m still pretty proud of myself :’)

*⁀➷ miss bonky had to go see the vet today; she’s been having some tummy troubles, and yesterday my mom noticed blood in her litter-box, so… vet. i was scared, but i’m grateful that we were able to get an appointment for her so soon, and that the vet doesn’t think there’s anything seriously wrong with her; it’s likely just irritation. my little baby was such a good girl at the vet, and she’s been prescribed a probiotic and a laxative; she’s behaving normally and doing just fine otherwise, so fingers crossed this is just temporary and the treatments help!

*⁀➷ i took a very relaxing shower! i woke up so irritable and lethargic this morning because of how hot it is, and a cold shower was just what i needed to feel better <3

*⁀➷ tidied up my room a bit, and got rid of some stuff that i’ve been meaning to throw out forever 😅 i threw out some stuff for my parents as well while they were out, and they were very appreciative. i also ran into one of my neighbours on my way down to the garbage chute, and he was very polite and asked me how i was doing! i don’t interact with my neighbours very often, so it always makes me feel good when i get to c:

*⁀➷ i changed my calendar to june! i’m an hour early, but i figured i would do it now while i was thinking about it haha

*⁀➷ did my daily self-care stuff!

*⁀➷ i’ve been looking for a fanfic that i read a while ago and forgot the name of, and i finally found it today! it was so nice getting to read it again (and i bookmarked it this time so that i don’t lose it again lol) ^^
