GOT THE HOUSE!

15 houses and 4 offers later, one finally got accepted! Comes with an in-ground pool and 3 minutes from my wife's work as a bonus! (and the market saying sorry for being so difficult )

Definitely helped that we were the first showing and first offer. Looking forward to moving in the middle to end of July!

Been a crazy 2 weeks since this post.

The house appraised for $15K short of our offer, meaning we owed $15K up front in order to keep the house UNLESS the sellers agreed to the new lower offer/value or negotiations took place.

Very unlikely but... they did! Getting a great house for even cheaper

Crazy that the market is so terrible right now that buyers are forced to overbid by $40-50K, only for the bank to say "nope". Thanks to the sellers for having a heart for first-time buyers

*⁀➷ i received my mark back for an assignment i completed last weekend, and despite how half-assed and awful i thought it was (even though i spent hours on it ), i got 92/100 marks on it!!! every single english assignment i’ve done this semester has had me rocking back and forth and thinking i’m going to get the worst possible grade for it, and then i just… don’t LOL. i‘m proud of myself, and very happy that my work isn’t actually as bad as i think it is :’)

*⁀➷ i had another decent day at school! one of my classes was cancelled today, so i only had 2 to worry about i was able to complete and hand in 1/2 assignments i was given today, and start working on the other!

*⁀➷ it’s finally friday! this week was a shorter one for me since monday was a canadian holiday, but i‘m still very excited to get to sleep in and kinda take it easy for the next 2 days i’m also very grateful that this week and my workload has been lax enough that i’ve been able to be a bit more active here; i’ve missed being around and seeing what ya’ll are up to

*⁀➷ watched the new barbie trailer! i am outrageously excited for this movie, more-so now that i have a general idea of the plot. no one will be able to tell me nothin’ on july 21st, i will be having the time of my life in a movie theatre

That's awesome! I was the same way in university. Kept putting in effort and going to tutors and studying hard, and still thinking I'd do worse than I actually did. Something to remember is that as long as you put the effort in and do your best, you'll often surprise yourself. We are our own worst critics after all.

I guess I am obliged to post something I'm happy about. The Rangers are leading the Orioles right now, but the game is still going on. My kitty was also waiting for me when I got home. Mainly though I'm just happy that I'm off for a three day weekend and have plenty of time to relax!!

EDIT: And the Rangers win 12-2 against the Orioles, capped off by Corey Seager's grand SLAM!

➣ I saw my favorite person today and she always makes me feel so loved. She hugged me today, lifting me off the ground and some dishes fell on the floor. We just laughed about it. ♡
➣ I ordered a pronoun pin today. I was on the fence about it since it draws unnecessary attention and I was only ever wear it during my travels/after moving as I’m not out at work yet.
➣ I tried the new verde fries from Taco Bell. Not really a fan of their food, but I love their speciality fries.
➣ I discovered that they had these cakes at my local 7-Eleven. I used to get these when I worked at the one inside the Airport. It will be nice getting these again, and maybe some for my trip.

Today I'm happy because:

- It's Friday and I have a three day weekend!
- I had another good training session with one of my backups. I feel like she'll be able to handle the tasks I've assigned to her.
- I had a chat with my boss and she assigned a new backup for a different process due to some difficulties with my other backups. I hate that I wasted my time with the others and I only have 4 days to train the new backup, but this person has more experience and I think he'll pick it up really fast.
- I somehow managed to complete everything that had to be done for work and logged off on time.
- The weather was really nice and sunny. I saw a lot of birds and a few squirrels outside.
- I saw Olive and Xavier, the bunnies, hanging out together in my backyard. They were sticking really close to each other and it was adorable.
- I saw a cool looking caterpillar for the first time today. I looked it up and it seems it's an Underwing Moth Caterpillar. It looked exactly like tree bark, but it was on the ground so that made it more noticeable.
- My dog is sleeping next to me and he just rolled over for some belly rubs with his tongue sticking out.

Man, it’s been a while since I last posted in this thread (and on TBT in general oops). Yesterday was pretty poop for me and I’m glad today was much better!

• The weather was pretty nice today with clear sunny skies. The temperatures were in the sweet spot too, not being too cold nor too hot!
• I was actually feeling pretty cranky in the morning but instead of just sleeping in and letting those feelings get to me, I went up and decided to wash my car outside! It felt so nice washing off the dirt that was building up, with the most satisfying part washing the wheels. There was so much dirt on there, but was easily washed off after scrubbing on the wheels. Uhhh, I definitely didn’t have a Gran Turismo soundtrack playing in my head while washing my car lol

• I had a chat with @/xSuperMario64x today on discord just vibing away like friends usually do. Not only that, but a voice chat too! It’s actually the second time I’ve done this speaking to Bug (the first time was a few days ago). It felt so surreal talking to him in real time since I’m so used to just reading the messages. Plus, he’s never really heard my voice before, so the both of us had to overcome the feeling of being nervous lol.
• I got to play Gran Turismo 7. A new update dropped recently and while the new addition of cars were mediocre at best, it also added some new engine swap options along with the fact that players can directly purchase them now (people had to basically rely on rng prior to the update which sucked)! Speaking of which, there’s this one engine swap combo that’s absolutely wild involving a 2019 Mazda3 using an engine from a Mazda 787B! I love this because 1. An engine comes from a race car to be placed in a regular road car 2. The engine itself sounds amazing and 3. I’ve seen this regular road car quite often (in fact, I saw one today) and I don’t think I’ll ever see them the same way ever again haha. Out of pure curiosity, I decided to test out its top speed after applying a turbo on it… I somehow went just over 400 km/h with a regular hatchback! This is one of the things that I love about Gran Turismo 7 lol.

• I also got to play Tears of the Kingdom too! Still enjoying the game quite a lot.
• If chatting with Bug wasn’t enough to get good friend vibes, @/Midoriya dropped by to chat with me on discord as well! We also had a great time and I appreciate him checking up on me. Thanks for caring, friendo.
• I recently started a new drawing albeit in the very rough stages. I wanted to get a rough idea out so I can just go from there.
• This is actually my 365th post on this thread! I know my past posts combined some days together, but knowing that I basically had at least a year’s worth of happy stuff is absolutely awesome.

I know TBT hasn’t been very active for quite a while now, but I hope everyone is holding up okay as of late.

☾ I've been in a generally upbeat mood today! I've been feeling a little down again these past few days (and the sleep issues I've been having probably haven't helped), but I'm still trying to develop more positive mindsets and find out what works best for me, and I hope that today means I'm seeing the start of the results of that.
☾ I have played yet more Stardew Valley! Everytime I think I'm going to go back to one of my other games, I wind up choosing Stardew anyway ahahaha. I've added a sheep and a pig to my barn, upgraded my farmhouse again and promptly exploded the nursery, and have unlocked the greenhouse!!
☾ Saw some art I hadn't seen before of one of my comfort characters!!
☾ I am all caught up on the work I fell behind on while I was sick! A lot of it was housework and oh my god I feel so much better when things are cleaner.
☾ Watched a little Youtube with my family! Excited to check out the New Life SMP starting up soon too
☾ I started a new sketch I'm really happy about! I can often be kind of hard on myself with my art (which is something I should probably work on, eheh), but I'm happy to say this was actually pretty relaxing. ^^

I either have a fever or I'm feeling too hot right now because the Texas Rangers baseball team is heating UP! They beat the Orioles again today 5-3 and have started the season 33-18, which is a new franchise record over 51 games in the history of the team. As the first major sport I became interested in and as a big fan of them, it's great to see this resurgence from them this year. Feels like we can crush just about anyone.

Today has been a really good day for me! I'm happy because:

- I slept really well last night and got to sleep in this morning.
- I got some reading done last night and plan on reading more before bed tonight.
- My dog was very affectionate today. He curled up next to me this morning in bed and again on the couch later this afternoon. He also got in my lap and gave me kisses earlier. I'll forgive the fact that he caused me to lose the game I was playing at the time.
- I got to watch an episode of Made in Abyss. Each episode hooks me even more than the last. I'm so glad I finally started watching this series.
- I watched the movie A Man Called Otto and it was so good. I was expecting to enjoy it, but it hit me harder than I thought it would.
- The weather was pretty nice today and I saw Xavier, the rabbit, while walking my dog this evening.
- I also saw a mastiff being very affectionate with his human. The dog was standing on a ledge so he was face to face with the man and they were basically hugging. It was so adorable.
- My mom got a refund from the psychiatrist that my brother refused to speak to.
- I got some laundry done.
- I still have two more days left to enjoy this long weekend.

- The Dallas STARS WIN 4-2 in game 5 of the NHL Western Conference Finals and force a game 6 back in Dallas against the Las Vegas Golden Knights. They are now just the 5TH TEAM in NHL history to force a game 6 after being down 3-0 in a series!!!

Okay, a lot of happy things for today.

After a lot of testing and doing stuff, I’m going back to my original way of doing things and the stuff I like. I felt like the current aesthetic I was going for was all me, but it’s not. I’m so much more. So I’m definitely going back to being myself and being silly. I’m starting fresh too on my games and I’m gonna play it my way for now on. I transferred my stuff to a friend’s game, so I’ll at least have something to start with, so it’s all good there.

Also, I just found out today that Discord is gonna make everyone change their main usernames to something more unique, so I’ll be having to change mine for sure, as I’m sure someone else is gonna take it. So I decided I’m going to use a username that’s unique on everything I use, so I’ll be changing my username here on TBT again. I know what to change it to, but for now I’ll need to raise some more tbt. I have a couple of collectibles I can sell once their trade able later.

Finally, I’ve been drinking more water like I said I was going to do and it’s given me some good results. My terrible face acne is clearing up nicely.

Haven't posted here for a while, so here's a recap of what happened recently.

5/25/23:
- I received an A on my final exam in Geography. So happy that I got all A's this semester! Now I can relax over summer break
- Went for a walk outside and saw a ladybug.

5/26/23:
- Went shopping at the mall with my mom and aunt.
- Played some video games.
- Ate some burgers with French fries for lunch.

What happened today:
- I ate some pasta for lunch.
- Continued playing my second playthrough of LoZ: Ocarina of Time on 3DS and I completed the Shadow Temple! I finally defeated Bongo Bongo after shooting some arrows and slashing it with the Biggaron's Sword! Although I had some trouble controlling the camera angles with the gyroscope, I prevailed at the end. The boss fight was pretty easy, and I took him down quickly.
- Read a book in the afternoon.
- Completed a drawing of a bonsai tree in soft pastels. I have to say, soft pastels can be a tricky medium to use since they smudge and crumble a lot. Hence, I have to lift my hand from the paper to avoid ruining it, and I'll spray it with some fixative. However, I'm satisfied with the result, though I might buy some hard pastels which are firmer and don't crumble as much, so they can be used in conjunction with soft pastels. There are even pastel pencils which blend very well and are great for drawing small details, so I'll just buy them later in the future.

-My days off landed on a weekend this time.

-My mom and oldest sibling tricked me into going to the salon to cut my hair. Haha. I thought that it was going to be a group appointment. At least I didn’t have to pay, so that was nice.

-I bought lunch and picked up my order from Walmart. Finally, I have a better gluestick!

-Organized my wall closet to a level of tidiness that it was before December happened.

-I also organized and decluttered items from two shelves in my dresser. Those garments will either be used as rags or go in the trash.

-Washed some towels and sheets. Hopefully I will wash my clothes tomorrow.

-Finally, I had a movie night.
