When you walk through the stores and see all the cute little gingerbread cookies, don't you ever think "I wish they made these uglier" or "Where are my Gingerbread Cthulhus?" ... No? Well, you should! And you should make your own, too!

Tis the season for some ugly cookie baking and decorating!​

How to Participate

---

1. Decorate a cookie (or a group of cookies) to look like some sort of creature! The uglier, the better!
   The cookie must look like some form of creature (humanoid or otherwise). Loosely, we will define this as "needing either a face of some sort and/or limbs."
2. After you've decorated your cookie, take a photograph of your entry alongside a piece of paper with your username written on it and post it in this thread.

Submissions close Tuesday, December 24th at 11:59 PM EST

If your entry is accepted, it will be marked with the 'Accepted' reaction and you will receive your participation Snowflakes.


Rules

---

• Only one entry per person.
• No changing your entry after submission.
• You must attach the images of your entry and check "entry" on the attachment's thumbnail. Please do this for both pages if you submit them as separate images. (See this post from a previous event if you're unsure how.)
• No digitally altering your photo - no filters or PhotoShop!
• Your full username must be clearly visible on a piece of paper in the photo.
• You may use any type of cookie you like, as long as the surface is flat for decorating. (e.g., a sugar cookie or a gingerbread cookie.)
• Your entire entry, cookie & decorations, must be edible.
• Your cookie base may be store-bought, but you must decorate the entire cookie yourself. Pre-decorated cookies will not be accepted.
• A reasonable amount of effort should be put into your submission. Entries that appear rushed and/or submitted jokingly will not be accepted.

i drew a butt on the snowman cookie and idk if that's allowed so I censored it

The Imperfectly Perfect Snow-people

"Why... Why did this have to happen to me? Why is it my fate to be born into such a hideous state? When you were making me, did you ever think: "Hmm... That's odd. I thought I was building a snowman, not a monster?"

These holiday treats are based off of all the sassy imperfect snow-people created every year without care. Or so that's what they say. Because how hard can it be to roll two perfectly shaped snowballs and put them on together? You aren't that artistically inclined are you?

I used chocolate chip cookies as the base with marshmallows as the body. I had an entire packet of white chocolate bark sitting in my cupboard that I never used and had been there for a long time. Still tasted fine! I melted the white chocolate cubes in a bowl, slowly stirring until it was all the way melted. First I dipped the marshmallows and rolled them in the melted chocolate and the set them to dryharden for 20-30 minutes.

Once they were good I then melted more chocolate and used some to secure the marshmallows to the cookie like cement and then drizzled more over the stack marshmallows and over the top of the cookie to give the illusion of a deformed and melting snowman.

I then set it to dry/harden for another 20-30 minutes and then used black and orange icing to add the final touches to the snowperson's face.

I told this multi-eyed gingerbread man what would happen if he ate a present, now his tummy’s upset :p but yeah, fun little activity! I liked to think I was playing a real life, yummy version of drawful haha (eyes are edible candy)

I tried to find ingrediants I was actually going to eat afterwards~

Their lil feet were so hard to do >.<
The biscuit was soft enough, but too soft and broke easily.

I used Loren’s cookie dough, cream cheese icing for the filling, marshmallows + mini chocolate chips for the eyes and teeth, and rice noodles for the crazy hair
I love to bake and normally am a perfectionist, it was fun to do something weird and ugly for a change

Comedy or tragedy? I wanted to do something a bit creepy, with stick-like candy cane hook arms/ claws, and a creepy wreath head with a giant mouth and teeth. But it kind of expanded when baked, so it completely lost the stick appearance and got super puffy, not creepy at all, lol.

Decorated using three gingersnap cookies (two whole + pieces of a third), cookie icing, and edible markers!​

Rusty the Red-ioactive Snowman
Had a very shiny snow
And if you ever saw him
You would see his body glow

All of the other snowmen
Used to melt from his radium
They never let poor Rusty
Have any sort of fun

Then one foggy Christmas Eve
Santa came to say
Rusty with your snow so bright
Won't you be my landing light?

Rusty is made from cookie mix, cherry cream cheese frosting, discount M&Ms, and raisins. Not artistic at all but I did my best and have no regrets.
