Falling in a hole without a pitfall!

As I was terraforming my rivers today I discovered that you can fall in an open hole without a pitfall seed!
I had dug holes along the side of the river as markers and when I pole vaulted across the river I pole vaulted right into the hole and fell into it! my character did the falling animation that occurs when you fall in a pitfall!
Just a little detail that I thought people might find interesting

I have come across this before. It's very entertaining! And a good way for the game to still allow you to jump over rivers even if the spaces on the other side are occupied by holes.

This happened to me once and it scared me so much I am surprised they added this though, it's definitely a cool little feature you wouldn't think would be in the game. I'm sure many other people like me have been shook by this happening.

Yep, that happened to me too! Of all spots I've vaulted over to, it's the one with a hole in it lol. Another way of falling into a hole without a pitfall is to make a hole beside a chair, sit on it, and get off on the same spot where the hole is.
