What Are You Happy About Today?

- Got my job interview done! Officially have no responsibly for 4 days now 🤗 Interview went okay, but I think I probably won't get it due to lack of experience haha, I mean, I have a job anyway so it's not too big of a deal

- My t-shirt arrived

- Good weather is set to continue for another week
 
Home from work and I'm happy I've a nice evening ahead. 🌹

We've just ordered Chinese takeout - I'm having aromatic duck. Picked up a bottle of cabernet sauvignon on my way home to enjoy with it. 😋

She's picked the movie: How To Train Your Dragon (animated). I've never seen it before but I'm looking forward to giving it a go!
 
Last night when I was asleep, my dad heard scratching noises from the fireplace, so he checked it out. Turned out a bat had fallen down our chimney! Poor thing must've been terrified, stuck in there in ash, but my dad took him outside carefully. My mam filmed it so I could watch it when I woke up, and he was actually so cute. Bats are a 10/10, and so is my dad's hearing, apparently. But yeah, I'm really happy the bat didn't end up dying in our house, that would have been really sad.

Also I won an rng competition, so that's cool. I usually have no luck with them.

During my English paper 2 exam I was really stressed out trying to finish my narrative essay in the allotted time and I literally wrote the last word of my story as the bell went off for us to stop. My hands were shaking so badly but damn, I was relieved that I managed to finish in time lol
 
Over the past couple of days:
☾ I checked out some trial chambers for the first time in Minecraft!! No luck getting either armor trim or Precipice so far (and no heavy core either </3), but I have found both versions of Creator!!

☾ I’ve been making good progress on one of my current art WIPs! c:

☾ I finished volumes 2 and 3 of Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan!!

☾ My mom and I have slowly been catching up on some R.E.P.O livestream VODs!
 
Last night I received an email that a short story I submitted is going to published in a fantasy anthology book this September!

Honestly, I thought they were going to reject it. I’m proud of the story, but it’s not your traditional “elves and wizards” kinda fantasy. A struggling female pro wrestler gets the help of a lifetime when her male manager summons Palaestra, the Greek goddess of wrestling. (OK I know pro wrestling is different, but whatever.) She gives him a special flower and instructs him to sneak a petal each day into the girl’s drink, as it will strengthen her. However, not all goes to plan….

Idk maybe that was unnecessary but I’m excited and can’t believe it! 🥳
 
The last couple days have been rough but I’m finally doing a bit better for now; I’m hoping it’ll stay that way since tomorrow I have to go out with my family and I still feel on the edge.

I’ve been playing a bit of One Piece Treasure Cruise again. I got a harder coop version done today. Been struggling with it for a few days. I really hate coop but it really isn’t bad if we both know what we’re doing. A lot of times, I don’t since I’m terrible at team building usual and need other people’s guides (like even for single player content). I’m still really not happy with what the game has turned into but it has been fun to play it again even the coop.

I’m working on my island journal for the three days that I’ve been playing. Last few days I got no tbt for my entries even though I am pretty sure I had enough text. I’m hoping it works this time (if not, I’ll have to post again in the CAS; something disappeared in my table of contents page too and I tried editing it back in twice and it disappeared each time again). Regardless, been enjoying working on my journal and island again 🙂.

Spanky sat on me for a minute tonight 🥰. Now she is snuggling with me ☺️.

Tomorrow I might take my girls out in the kitty stroller depending on the weather and how I feel after the recital (or before; not sure when the recital is and don’t want to ask since I’m stressed enough as it is).

I felt a huge load off my chest after I got a reply back earlier from someone (at the same time, I felt bad for how much I had to say).

What a day. I got a bunch of happy stuff to talk about!
  • I got to finish work early since things started slowing down in the afternoon. One of the highlights is that I got to go for a quick test drive with one of my coworkers... In a car that had a manual transmission. Now of course, I'm still rough around the edges and have a lot to learn, but the fact that I traveled for a small distance and got to shift between two gears! 🎉Before all this, I only moved cars in and out for service, so it's a huge step up for me!
  • As the day was also pretty sunny, I took advantage of it by going for a lengthy walk! ☀️And boy, I'm glad I did because...
  • Feel free to skip this point. I unexpectedly spotted a BMW M3 (E92) parked on the side of the road! Uh, hello?! I didn't expect to add another car to the list so soon (total is now up to #266!), let alone a BMW since I struggle to identify the differences. Thankfully, the bulge on its hood helped me confirm it's an M3 as I walked by. Looking out for my physical health sure has its benefits! 😂
  • I also went to the mall and bought a few things. I wanted to try out a cappuccino flavoured ice cream that I've been eyeing on in the past couple of weeks. Goodness gracious, it tasted so good which also reminds me of the mocha cake from Goldilocks. I can't believe I've been missing out on it this whole time. 🍦
  • A new update for Gran Turismo 7 dropped today adding four new cars! The selection is pretty varied and I personally think it's a decent one all around. One is something that @LadyDestani would love to see, one is obscure, one is possible for me to spot someday, and one that sort of resonates with me on a personal level. The visual custom parts are pretty wild, but I'll have to show them some other time!
Great news! A 2001 Chevrolet Corvette C5 has returned to the series! Because of its inclusion, this means that all generations of the Corvette (from the C1 to the C8) are now present in the same game shining with breathtaking visuals. ☺️

There also happens to be an online time trial going on at the time of this post featuring the aforementioned Corvette. Really happy that I smashed the gold target time with lots of margin. This'll give me lots of breather room in case the world record improves a good amount.

The engine sounds of this 2017 Ferrari 812 Superfast is amazing to hear. It's a possibility that I may see this car in the future, so I will definitely let you guys know if I do!

Now here's something that's not entirely well known, but appears to have gained a following in recent times. This 2012 Suzuki Carry KC is a kei truck that's quite compact! It has a very low power output, but that definitely didn't stop me from enjoying it as quirkiness of driving kei cars and kei trucks are hard to come by in video games in general. Though, you wouldn't want to crash one in real life since uh, the crumple zones are almost nonexistent sdfjksdf.

I saved this one for last as it resonates with me a bit. Forgive me for the lengthy name in the game buuuuut, a 2021 Honda CR-V e:HEV EX Black Edition has arrived! Your eyes are not fooling you. It really did get added to Gran Turismo 7 lol.

Not only does this fifth generation CR-V also gets added to my identified cars list (being #267, the second car to be added today), but I also remember driving one a couple of years ago as a rental car to help me pass my driver's licence test and mentioning it in my happy post back then. 🥺 If the developers ever decided to add a fourth generation of the CR-V, that would've hit me so hard because that Honda is the one I actually drive in real life from time to time, even though my father uses it most of the time. That CR-V has helped me spot dozens of unique cars over the past few years whenever I drive out on public roads. It's still serving its purpose well and hasn't given us major problems aside from needing to replace the brakes in the past, even after over 150,000km. It's not the same generation from in-game, but it's a CR-V regardless. 🥹
 
- Got invited to do a paid trial shift next Friday for the job I interviewed for...interesting! I guess even if I don't get the job I'll still have 2 extra hours of wages which can't be bad lol.

- Today will be my first domestic trip in a long time, going to a spa hotel for the weekend in a neighbouring town. Most excited to use the pool haha 😅 I want to practice my swimming for my upcoming beach holiday. Always love a hotel breakfast buffet too (y)

Yesterday, I successfully made my way to Zora’s Domain. Within 2 hours, I beat Vah Ruta and defeated Waterblight Ganon. Two down, two to go. (I beat Vah Medoh on Saturday.) I also freed my dragon spirit, Naydra, from Ganon’s Malice. Seeing Naydra again was so surreal.

Not my screenshot, but it’s the same thing so whatevs. :P

A pupil complimented my jacket after school today. Given yesterday and today have been filled with pupil behaviour issues, a positive interaction was much appreciated to end my week on.

On that note: it is the weekend! 🥳
The sun will be shining (22-24C) and I'm celebrating my birthday. My partner and I have plans tomorrow night and then I'm visiting my mum on Sunday. My dad is overseas right now so it's a shame I can't see him, but it'll still be a good time!

Home alone tonight and pretty thankful for it as it will be a very social weekend. Other obligations I've had have been crossed off though and I'm not upset about it. Turns out there is a big celebration in the city tomorrow, so my PT cancelled on our session in the morning as he understandably doesn't want to travel in. Then once he explained this to me I rescheduled my cats afternoon check-up at the vet, because I am not taking them on heaving public transport and through a busy street mobbed with partying drunks no thank you!!

This weekend is going to be good. Feeling very positive right now. 😊

Edit: my best friend's husband just bought us tickets to see Legally Blonde live next year. 💕

Went to the office on Thursday and the regional manager bought us lunch. We had a great time cracking jokes and spent the entire second half of the day at the restaurant.

One of my coworkers gave me this REALLY COOL dragon lamp. Imagine the gag when I unplugged it and it was still glowing red. I looked at the box and it's rechargeable! So freaking cool. Same coworker has a 3D printer and had made me a sign which I finally saw since I almost never go in lol.

Heard a lot of gossip while I was there so ofc the trip, as always, was worth it. That and seeing everyone and people making a fuss that I showed up 😁
 
  • Started/added a new mood stabilizer to my meds for my bipolar disorder. Lamictal. My psychiatrist said it’s really good. So here’s to hoping it helps, and has minimal side effects! 🙂
  • I went and saw the new Final Destination movie in theater on Thursday evening. It was really good in my opinion a great addition to the franchise.
  • I painted some more, I wish it was easier to post pics from mobile on here. Every time I try to it says my files are too large. So I have to go to my old slow laptop to post my art which takes a lot longer. But anyway glad to be painting more! I’ll post some pics in my art thread today :)
  • Been sleeping really good 😴
  • Enjoyed some coffee and music today
  • My neighbor made me a big plate of some spaghetti and garlic knots she made yesterday and it was so good. That was really kind of her. ❤️
  • Glad it’s the weekend

  • Excited that the new Fantasy Life game is almost out
  • My kitties are doing well. Also my volunteer job with the cat rescue has been going well too. Hard to believe it’s been like 3 or 4 years of doing that now. Time flies. 🐈🐈‍⬛

- the newly discovered fish store was amazing
- decided to get some cute baby fish from the newly discovered fish store
- decided to take advantage of a plant sale from the newly discovered fish store
- tickled about the newly discovered fish store if you can't tell. I wish it was closer to home. It focuses on fish only (no dog or cat stuff taking up space : P) and focuses planted tanks!!
- got a hand me down tank cleaned and set up
- today has been very nice but windy!
- got some groceries today
