What Are You Happy About Today?

I finally have my dishwasher wired into an appropriate switch. No more burning out a lightswitch! The electrician was also great with my cats - good as Sebastian insisted on going under the counter with him to help. He loves whenever we've tradespeople in the house.

Also, I found out that after another electrician fixed the lightswitch on Saturday that he went back and told his buddies about our house. Today's electrician feared what he was getting into. When he looked under my counters he said, "S was right, this is a DIY maniacs work." The previous owner made some questionable choices.

My partner was also off work today, but was out for most of it. We managed to get in an episode of Voyager in the couple of hours she was home in the afternoon.

Took a 2.5hr nap with the boys cuddled up next to me. They let me sleep past their dinnertime!

Made pulled pork tacos for dinner. One of my favourite meals right now.

I think it'll be a glass of wine and a chill evening. I'm quite alert so may work on a crafts project.

Seeing my parents tomorrow afternoon for the first time in six months and looking forward to it! My dad is going to get the BBQ out.

I haven't posted in here in ages.

-Without getting things too complicated I had to move a bunch of gardens that I really loved, but ended up making some new ones that I think I'll love even more over time and when all the bulbs, trees, and plants I transplanted start to blossom and grow. I also bought some different bulbs and I'm excited to see them grow! I also found two cannon balls when I was moving everything.

-I bordered all of my veggie garden with rocks and it looks nice! It took forever, but I'm glad I finally took the time.

-I've been working on and off in my basement to finally fix it up. I painted the walls, put up the studding, and ran the electric. It took forever, but I'm happy with the progress.

-I made the lost and found and shampoodle as rooms in NH and it was a lot of fun to recreate them as best as I could. azurill was really sweet and designed a cute scissor qr for me to use. Thank you!

-My grapes that I ordered online came in and I planted them! I got all seedless and decided not to try local nurseries or high retail stores as they either don't know or lie about what kind it is. I've wasted too much time doing that and getting seeded that tastes like I am chewing through rocks or actually planting wine-making grapes when it says they're not.

-I made some diy seed tape. Carrot seeds are so tiny that it's hard to sow them correctly. They always bunch up and then I have to try to thin them out once they sprout so they don't grow stunted. It's super time consuming and most times I put them in shock or kill them. So I used toilet paper with a mix of water/flour to 'glue' each seed. It still took forever, but if this works it'll be worth it.

I am happy to be having such a great vacation. We got here yesterday and the drive was really nice. It took about 2 and 1/2 hours. Mostly farmland so it was nice seeing the horses and cows. We have had really great weather hiking and exploring. It’s been in the 60’s in the morning and low mid 70’s during the day. Some of the pictures I took .

I got a few good things for today!

• Feel free to skip this point. I was on my way to work this morning and spotted a BMW M2 Competition (F87) again!
• Work ended up not being too busy today. In fact, I finished my shift early and felt good about having some extra time on my hands.
• I bought a Matchbox from a dollar store and it was a good find. Turns out I bought the last one lol.

Behold, a 1970 Citroën 2CV! It may not be the exact same year nor appearance, but believe it or not, I was lucky to spot this elusive car in the wild back in 2021. I didn't expect that Matchbox would sell a 2CV in these modern times, but here we are.

• I went for a small walk even though it was a bit cloudy. It's been a little while since I last went for a walk.
• I had some blueberry pie again for dessert after dinner!
• I listened to a bunch of music.
• It ain't much, but I got around posting in my art thread again after over a year. It felt a little nostalgic too seeing my older drawings on there alongside a few liveries I made in Gran Turismo 7.

• I slept good. My psychiatrist made some adjustments to my meds to help with manic symptoms and I’m finally sleeping more than 3-4 hours per night every night.
• I’ve been doing well sticking to my exercise routine!
• I have a volunteer shift with the rescue cats tonight
• My kitties are doing well
• I’m able to focus a bit better and have been reading more
• Glad tomorrow is Friday!

I saw my parents today!! Six months since I last met with my mum, longer since I spent quality time with my dad.

It was also the first time in forever that I got to see their cats. They're 13-15 years old so I used to live with them a long time ago. Glad to see they're doing so well.

We sat in their garden all afternoon, had a few drinks, and my dad made dinner on the BBQ. He cooked up steak, chicken, and prawns for fajitas along with homemade pico de gallo. And my mum prepared a Mediterranean orzo salad. It was such a good meal.

I was sent home with 38 tins of cat food (their cats are picky on flavour so my mum has been saving me the tins hers don't like) and five tubs of seasonings to try cooking with.

My boys got one of the tins we were given for their tea. Loved it!

Oh, and before we went outside my Dad told me to sit in his computer chair and try out his current obsession: Assassin's Creed Shadows. I need this game!

☾ I got Pumpkin Panic on Steam!! I loved watching playthroughs of it on Youtube a while back. ;v; I’m not sure when I’ll play it myself, but I’m excited to!

Today wasn’t bad, even though I’ve been a bit anxious about something from yesterday.

Today a game I play is having its anniversary. Originally I wasn’t going to pull but I caved after trying the trial unit out and liking it. I’m still trying to get the UR ark. After this I need to go back to saving since there are two collabs I should be saving for if they ever have more reruns.

Last night I did some pulls in OPTC even though I didn’t really want much, and I got some things that I’m pretty happy with, though no clue if a few of these are canon since I’m not caught up (I’m pretty sure they are though.

Was feeling depressed and anxious so I biked around for an hour. Right now I'm sitting beside Blitz' resting place, chilling while waiting for the sun to go down. I think I'll hang around here for a few more mins. It's peaceful here in our backyard, and I like the idea of being beside Blitz even if he's physically gone.

- Another beautiful day! I can't believe the weather has been so lovely for over 2 weeks now It really feels like summer has arrived early. Kind of nice not to be working so I can just relax and enjoy it (still have an interview next week tho)

- I sold my Switch for £94 at CEX. My thought process is that I'm just going to get a Switch 2 Lite when they come out, and since games will be backwards compatible, I don't need my OG Switch The extra £4 in change covered by bus ride home, and a really delicious cream iced bun from an independent bakery at the local market

- Appletun arrived yesterday, he is perfect ofc

- Did a workout, washed my hair, then made my favourite avocado toast w/ hummus, fried eggs, and lean pork sausage

I had a day off with no plans and I was already caught up on household chores. What a rarity!

I spent the afternoon playing Dynasty Warriors: Origins on PS5. Been a while since I had the time and energy to commit to focusing on a game. It was fun!

Made a chicken & vegetable noodle stirfry for dinner. Proud of myself for not ordering pizza because I was certainly craving it.

Also I feel it is important that you all know that Seb loves his banana.

Last day of work until the 28th! I can’t believe how fast time is going. I absolutely love my job and whilst it’s hard (and I was definitely crawling to Easter break) I’m sad that the time is going so quickly, especially as my contract is only until August. Keeping my fingers crossed that the universe finds a way to keep me at this school

I ordered new crochet hooks (clovers) and some lovely yarn! Its my friends baby shower in May, and we also found out my partners sister is expecting another baby, so the plan is to crochet them both a present

I’m looking forward to having a chilled 2 weeks off work, and I’m hoping to be productive during this time. I’m really looking forward to finishing my book (Yellowface - I’m around 85% so will finish it either tonight or tomorrow!), having a coffee and a slow start to the morning tomorrow, then continuing with my crochet and watching Greys Anatomy!
