What Are You Happy About Today?

☾ I’ve mentioned before that my favorite show, Disventure Camp, has an official merchandise store, so, of course, I had to purchase my favorite character’s shirt. I could’ve easily bought a red sweater, but these are handmade to match exactly what the characters wear on the show.

I wasn’t expecting it to be this high-quality of a sweater, but this thing blew me away. I wasn’t sure at first, but I think it might be crocheted?

They also included a photo card of her and a tote bag with their logo on it that seems rather nice in quality?? I don’t use tote bags for their intended purpose, but it will make a nice laundry bag! Before, I was using a plastic bag which was quite tacky, I’m aware.

☾ I’m happy the Los Angeles Kings shut out the Edmonton Oilers today in a very convincing win. Things may be falling into place for the Kings to take first place in the Pacific Division. Go Kings!!
☾ I had so much fun during the soft-serve event! It didn’t take long for the strawberries to figure out I had a ton of posts in the QBTMC thread, making me quite the easy target for their attacks. It didn’t help how many posts @/Snek had in there either, so their posts were targeted, as well.

• I have a volunteer shift with the rescue kitties later today
• Started playing the game Fae Farm and it’s a lot of fun
• Also started the game Unpacking and it’s really good too, really relaxing
• Getting further into my music theory workbook learning a lot
• Getting further in Life is Strange 2 and really enjoying that! Kinda in my gaming era lately. It’s nice cause for a long time I had no motivation to play games.
• Got some good food from Whole Foods
• Enjoying my new Yamaha keyboard, it’s beautiful and sounds wonderful
• Also enjoying playing my violin as usual

I got invited to two job interviews for next week, to the two places I was most interested in working at !! One of them I have been trying to get a job at for a few years now. It's kind of nice to bounce back like that within a week of losing my job lol Fingers crossed I do okay Both are full-time too which is ideal, and one of them is pretty similar to my old job. It's tomorrow so wish me luck!!

Today was another rough one but I had some things that made me happy in the last few days:

I’ve been having some nice chats with some of my friends here ; now with the april’s fools event over, it has been fun chatting about it with everyone . I knew I would enjoy the event, but I didn’t know how much I would lol. It definitely helped me pull through the last couple days. Thanks so much staff . I just finished replying to one of my friends and I feel a lot better than I was an hour ago.

I had another fun Among Us session tonight . I did not get to be imp unfortunately, but it was still a lot of fun . Tomorrow, I really hope I get to be imp (and connection please be good on my switch ).

I am almost done with the event; I finished the sakura shells goals today too!

My girls have been using the sushi house again today and were playing with each other with one in it and the other outside of it.

My mom said she’d make some banana bread for me sometime this week once she gets the ingredients (I probably will have to remind her) . Among Us sessions have strangely made me hungry for banana bread because of the talk of snacks and @BetsySundrop ‘s friend Birdie always wearing a banana on his head .

I started packing for our move today. I'm definitely not happy about the actual packing and moving, but we're buying a house, so hopefully this is the last move I'll have for several years, if not ever. This is a house we could stay in for the rest of our lives since it's on all one level with no stairs. So, I'm happy about finally being a homeowner and not having to move every year

A couple of mourning doves have decided to build a nest under the roof of our back porch! I hope they wind up having healthy chicks; it would be really neat to watch them grow.

• i don’t remember my sleep but i sure did blackout - my head hit the pillow and it was honk shoo for me
• it was such a big deposit today!!! it was $10,400 (›´-`‹ ) probably because associates have a 20% discount weekend so there were so many transactions
• honestly it wasn't tooooo bad at cash at the beginning (around noon) so i was able to keep my station pretty empty and neat, but it definitely picked up in traffic and the line steadily grew
• i wanted to see if i could find any jeans that i liked after my shift but my sister told me they were already waiting in the parking lot for me so i didn't get the chance for that ૮꒰◞ ˕ ◟ ꒱ა
• we went to michaels for beads and things since my cousin asked my sister to make this phone charm
• then we went to ikea where i was able to get the kallax shelf for my room! and my sister bought plushies for her friends (either for their birthdays or for christmas)
• just made perogies and an iced coffee, i'll see if i'm still hungry in a few hours for dinner (づ◡﹏◡)づ
• i'm off for the next two days so i'll be able to play more infinity nikki !
  tbh infold has been pissing me off with how greedy they are with the new patch but i still have so much content to go through so i should be okay with earning diamonds the f2p way

☾ New episodes of One Piece are back!! Watched the latest one with my parents this morning along with an episode of Hunter x Hunter.

☾ I worked on some art today!! I am… trying to practice interactions more… bless the people who share their Clip Studio Paint 3D model poses for others to use; they’re an incredible art reference but I struggle posing them myself lol Though I did manage to make some notable changes to the base pose that I think look pretty good!! The models’ anatomy doesn’t look horribly broken AND it looks like the intended pose at multiple angles, which is a lot better than my attempts usually go LOL

☾ Saw an episode of GoodTimesWithScar’s Hermitcraft series this evening!

☾ We had some mini mixed fruit cream cakes!! ;v; We each got one mini cake and 1/3 of the extra one. My mom made them and they were absolutely lovely, with strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, green and red seedless grapes, kiwi, and oranges!!

☾ I didn’t get the temporary artist position I was after, but I’m still proud of myself for applying and I’ll try again next time!! ദ്ദി(˵•̀ ᴗ •́ ˵ )

☾ And I had fun playing in the Among Us session tonight! I fumbled my first couple rounds as impostor big time LOL, but I love my baguette pompadour and I’ve enjoyed the mirrored Skeld map while it lasted!

Another quick post for today!

• Work was fairly busy today. However, an interesting highlight for me was that someone dropped off their first-generation Audi TT for service! I didn't work on it nor get to really admire the details unfortunately as I was working on a different car, but it was still pretty cool! At this rate, I'm gonna have to start making a list of "cars appearing in the Gran Turismo series that showed up at my workplace".
• It was sunny for a short while on my way home from work.
• My mom baked blueberry pie (albeit much later in the evening). Even after only having a few bites, it had the right amount of sweetness which is therefore tasty.
• I played some rounds of Among Us this evening while dealing with the mirrored Skeld a couple more times. Not gonna lie, it's a bit tough being an imp right from the get-go as I wanted to settle in for a while and not have my heart racing for the entire round lol. However, my favourite part was when I shapeshifted as @/ .: Meri :. after marinating @/Bruscoe. A few seconds later, the real Meri arrived at the crime scene and saw me. Instead of reporting the body, they decided to wait for my shapeshift to end... Little did they know my kill cooldown ended a few seconds earlier than the shapeshift, so I could afford to wait it out and marinate them too! That's quite an interesting and yet, amusing moment even though I had the option to vent a few metres away. I stood in place for a reason lol.

Today started out rough but I feel like I’m starting to feel better and more myself.

I had so much fun playing Among Us with everyone. I didn’t win as imp any of the times I was imp, but I did get to have a good amount of snacks laughs lol.

I think I have some idea of how I want my OC that I’ve been thinking of making, to look, at least her clothes and maybe hair (not hair color yet). I tried to get a sketch started but too drained. At least I went into the app and tried regardless how short of a time I was in it.

I got to chat more with @Xara today and yesterday got to see an adorable picture of Miss Bonk . Had a nice chat with @KittenNoir too!

Successfully got my job interview over with! I think it went alright, fingers crossed

I also got confirmation for a timeslot for my other interview. Honestly they're both so different it's funny One is a serious, office-based (but can work from home) job where you need to take security training and checks. The other is at a supermarket.

Luckily I have 2 days to chill and relax before the next interview

I just got approved to attend a multi-day conference in a city I'm excited to visit, and my organization is paying for my ticket! Ahhhh!!

finished with my taxes! i still have to get an envelope and mail them but huge weight off my shoulders. i know it's better not to procrastinate and just get it over with but i couldn't bring myself to do it and i even felt physically ill stressing over it. literally feel lighter now.

also my old coworker showed me social media posts of our ex boss complaining about how so many workers quit at the same time (including several new workers who were brought in as replacements and immediately bounced after seeing how the place was run) and how difficult it is for the team right now. like literally no introspection at all that maybeeeeee people quit BECAUSE of him and his actions? and that he's now in the "find out" phase? and the company too should reevaluate him if so many people would rather be unemployed in THIS economy than continue working under him. absolutely no self awareness. he thinks it's the universe out to get him and that everyone else is the problem.

I asked for Wed-Fri off this week and my manager okayed it. I've next week booked off already and can't wait for a nice long break from work. One more day to go!

I've made plans to visit my parents on Thursday. The weather is supposed to be nice so my dad's going to get the BBQ out. It's been six months since I've seen my mum and longer since I've seen dad. I'm excited!

Oh, and here is the big one. After years of being in credit card debt I am finally debt-free. It is going to be bizarre getting my salary and not immediately sending a portion of it to debt repayments. I can finally justify saving beyond my emergency vet fund.

my boyfriend ended up coming around at night because of work and wanted to make up for not being around earlier. he took me back to the testing site and took lots of pics of me and also gave me a bouquet flowers. it was so silly cuz the area was pretty empty (understandable, it was like 8 PM), but it did feel very intimate and special.

i told him i was sorry for being overdramatic and that i was just going through so many things at once so i ended up being really emotional. he said it was okay and he was also sorry because he could've made a way to be earlier. i said it was okay and i understand his circumstance as well.

anyway im very glad i at least got to end the day on a high note.

☾ Watched Markiplier’s The Backrooms: 1998 video with my mom today! And over dinner all of us got to see part of GoodTimesWithScar's latest Hermitcraft episode! We'll hopefully finish that up tomorrow night.

☾ I worked on some personal art this evening and happy with how it's coming along so far!! but I wish I could draw faster!! I am bouncing between So Many WIPs right now and cannot keep up with all the ideas I haven't even started yet alkhgsjfls

I'm just so happy today that I finally found someone I can talk to and relate to! I'm also happy about getting back up to try drawing again after a few weeks of break due to artist's block.

It’s been a really great productive day. Was able to get all the chores I wanted done.
Got the laundry and cleaning done.
Gave Aurora her bath. Packed for our trip. So excited to get away for a few days.
Had some nice walks with Aurora. It was a little windy on our evening walk and just started to rain a little while ago. Which is great since we really need the rain. The weather is supposed to be really nice for our trip.

Today my mood has been significantly better.

I got myself to start drawing; not the project that I’m working on, but something I hope to keep small (for now). Decided to try designing an oc I want to make. So far I’m okay with what I have; it’s just shapes right now. It is really nice to draw again. I’m not optimistic this will turn out okay, but it doesn’t hurt to try. I never tried drawing my own character or coming up with clothes or anything so this is just for some experience and also to help get me back to drawing and my big project. I’m excited about some of my ideas.

I’m happy to hear that everyone is still enjoying the Among Us sessions . I had a nice small discussion in the thread!

I got snuggles from my girls earlier today .

I was finally able to come up with a lineup with my space whale and Galaxy Egg . I wasn’t sure if I wanted any of the collectibles from April’s fools but I’m really happy that I ended up getting them. I did want the pink swirl as a souvenir of some sort since I had so much fun . I never got to see the popsicle collectibles before, so I am excited that I was able to get two as well as the pink swirl. I can’t wait for the Easter Egg hunt (just not the puzzles ).
