- Had a great Halloween! Spent the day chilling then got dinner + drinks with my friend before watching A Nightmare on Elm Street at the cinema, w/ lots of candy and popcorn ofc

- Glad I'm off work again tomorrow, it's been a nice mini break

Today is my 6 year anniversary with my boyfriend. We started off this year incredibly rough but we've made a complete 180 and things are wonderful. We celebrated our anniversary for the first time in a way that wasn't just me doing the planning and paying, he got me gifts and sweets! Halloween being today means candy was slim pickings but he still got me my favorites, sour patch kids and 3 musketeers. He has something in the mail for me, too. We watched videos, took a nap, cuddled, played some of the new sims 4 expansion and had a really great day. He's so lovely. I feel loved.

It's Halloween today and I had such a wonderful time but am so tired... stayed up too late haha! I have been so busy so it was wonderful to finally enjoy my favorite holiday!

It’s been a good day. A really long exhausting day but still good. Had an early half shift at work this morning. It was a good productive day. Was able to spend some time after work playing the Halloween event in ACNH. Went over in the afternoon to help set up and volunteer at our churches Halloween event. It was really fun event. Now it’s time for bed. Hope everyone had a great day.

☾ I caught up to the present day in ACNH!! I’ll probably shift towards playing every 2-3 days to give myself a bit of a break from working on my island now. Even though I already had Shino’s photo I still wanted to get her something for her birthday, but was sorely torn between all the pretty kimono that fell into her liked colors/themes… so I bought all of them and will be doling them out to her over the coming days lmao. also got a sweet crown from Gullivarrr!!

☾ My parents and I saw some Youtube videos this evening, including SmallishBeans’ most recent Wild Life episode!

☾ I’ve spent most of my Carnival Coins!! ;w; The new Eye of Ender Halloweaster Egg was too pretty to pass up (and I love Minecraft aaa), and I also grabbed the Pink Cotton Candy and a Crow Plush!!

Today was decent! My mood hasn’t been great since I’m a bit down but it didn’t stop me from having a decent day.

It was a bit frustrating though because of the communication errors that I kept getting while trying to do the halloween event on my main island with my other island’s rep. I think I managed to get all the diys. I think I got more than enough screenshots for two entries that I started in my island journal; probably won’t finish the entries today but that’s fine. I’m glad the event is over since now I can work more on this and my second island. I went island hopping after tting to finish the construction of Nook’s Cranny. I wasn’t going to invite any villagers that I had already yet, but I found Lily on an island and I couldn’t pass her up.

My kitties were being more curious than usual with my sister’s dog here. Neither of them hissed or growled at her; Spanky’s fur kept sticking up and her tail kept becoming poofy but she seemed more curious than scared. Neither bopped her either thankfully .

I bought two collectibles that I wanted with my carnival coins; the swamp potion was a last minute decision but I’m really happy with it. I’m thinking of trading for the third one before I buy my last one.

I had a nice chat with @Yanrima~ .

My mom made spinach pie for dinner; it was delicious.

Earlier I saw a drawing that @azurill posted; I was extremely touched that she included my kitties in the burger costume with my favorite villager, Punchy in a hot dog costume. It seriously made my day .

I got snuggles from both my girls today. I caught Spanky sleeping in her ramen basket today too .

It is the weekend and I am thrilled!

It has been an insane week and I don't really feel like I've had any downtime in a fortnight. My house has been full of people coming and going. But my partner is going on vacation tomorrow (unfortunately I can't join due to work, but I appreciated the invite!) which means I'm going to have the house to myself for a while. Just me and the kittens for a whole week - how can I complain? They're the light of my life right now. I cannot put into words how much I love my boys.

This was my second full week back at work after a long absence. I'm still not 100% well (I had to see a cardiologist on Wednesday and have various other hospital appointments coming up) but I'm finally feeling as if I'm back in the swing of things at work and that I belong here again. I've been working my ass off and I can tell that it has been appreciated. One person yelled, "Chris, you're a star!" as I walked by her classroom this morning and I actually paused and said to her "what did I do?" - then I remembered I had emailed her to let her know I'd repaired a £1400 piece of equipment we thought we were going to need to replace outright. As much as I groan about my job I do love it. My colleagues are amazing. One coworker brought me back a drink when he went out to get his lunch and another gave me one of the croissants she had warmed up.

My gym session this morning was brilliant. My PT is really happy with the progress I'm making. I've had a few setbacks due to illness, and I'm not allowed to do cardio right now, but I was cleared for weightlifting and I refuse to give up on it.

NaNoWriMo has begun! It is my first time in many years being a regular participant again after being a Municipal Liaison 2017-2023. I'm so glad to be able to enjoy this event as just a writer again instead of worrying about event organising.

Today was my year-end review for my job and I absolutely knocked it out of the park this year. I've embodied my workplace's values to a T and go beyond what is expected of me in my job description by a large margin, and am always doing something different every day. It honestly really makes me super duper happy to have found a place where I don't just work, but enjoy it as well.

I'm also glad it's the weekend and I get to sleep in tomorrow, because I really need it, lol. I talked with several friends today and am planning on hanging out with one of them more, which should be good fun.

I also took several pictures of my kitty in odd places that were really funny. She has the zoomies right now and is running all over the place, but I'm sure she'll calm down soon!

I'm one step closer to moving out of my parents' house! A place I was previously interested in surprisingly came back onto the market, and I was second in line to negotiate an offer, which was accepted. This is a community that has a form of HOA, so I'm really hoping that my resident application is accepted.
(...and that I don't get burned by some outside factor again)

• I did a Dark Magician Girl drawing today (picture is in my art thread) and I really am happy with how it came out, it came out way better than I imagined it would. In general I think my art is improving overall. I also have fully got back into the habit of drawing every single day and it's bringing me a lot of fulfillment and happiness again.
• I bought a new sketchbook today, it arrives on Sunday. Has a soft waterproof cover. It looks really nice, I'm excited to start drawing in it!
• Ordered some stuff through doordash tonight, and my doordash driver was really nice which made me happy. He asked if I could come downstairs to get the order because he had foot surgery recently and was recovering from that so I said sure and he was really kind. I gave him an extra tip while he was on his way here even before that, I rated the delivery 5 stars.
• I got some chocolate covered pretzels and yogurt covered pretzels, and omg they're so hard to stop eating
• I alos bought a new journal so I'm excited to get that as well, my old one got filled up
• Gonna spend the evening listening to music and drinking coffee

Today was not bad! I feel a little depressed off and on but I’m overall pretty good.

I caught my chonky girl twitching in her sleep about an hour or so ago and sleeping like this.

I got some snuggles from Spanky earlier .

I’m still burnt out and tired but I feel like I should be good enough to play some Among Us again soon .

I just saw there is a secret santa thread in the museum . I’ve been looking forward to this since a friend mentioned it. I want to try it and try drawing again digitally but I’m a little daunted and worried my art will be disappointing. I’ll give it some thought before I sign up. I’d love to try it since I want to give back something since so many people drew my rep during the fair. I’m still burnt out too so I probably should wait until I feel more 100% before I commit. I hope I can participate though .

Me and my partner went to the aquarium for my birthday. We got to see the sea lions and otters be fed some fish. I also saw the tiny little monkeys and a sloth. I got an otter keychain and a sloth keychain but I'm probs gonna give one to my mom. They had so many cups in the gift shop but I stopped myself from getting any cause they were expensive af
