What Are You Happy About Today?

☾ I played Minecraft with my mom for a little while! It's been ages since we actually played together ahaha, and the new cherry blossom biome is gorgeous!! 🌸
☾ I painted some Dungeons & Dragons miniatures for my dad! It also finally pushed me to get a set of nail art brushes for fine detail stuff, and I was able to get a super good deal on a rather large set! ^^
☾ Watched some Youtube with my family, and we've caught back up with GoodTimesWithScar's New Life series!
☾ I snuck in some time to play Pokémon White while I was waiting for coats of paint to dry, and earned my second gym badge!
☾ My copy of Jack Jeanne has shipped!! I cannot wait omg
 
Today I'm happy because:

- I saw both of my bunny friends. Last night, I saw Olive in the neighbor's yard. Today I saw Xavier hopping through my backyard and again later in the neighbor's yard.
- It rained today, but stopped in time for our afternoon walk. I got to see a couple of the neighborhood dogs.
- Even though it was my first day back at work after a week off, I surprisingly didn't feel stressed. I have a lot of work to get caught up on, but I plugged away at it all day and made decent progress. I'll keep doing that all week.
- I did a little more work on my Celebrating Diversity entry.
- I was craving a chocolate milkshake tonight so I got one.
 
- Had a nice evening with friends: roasting marshmallows, chatting, and petting lots of dogs

- Received a completed art piece from @/Aquilla of one of my favorite characters. Turned out beautifully! 💜

- Did my final dress fitting today. Everything worked out well despite a stressful beginning

- Started a new book which has been great so far (large print edition makes it so much more enjoyable). The Memory Keeper's Daughter

- Ate some Sheppard's Pie, one of my favorite dishes
 
*⁀➷ i completed and submitted one of my culminating assignments!!! 🥳😭 i spent all afternoon working on it, and i’m so happy to be done with it! it was one of the ones that was stressing me out the most, so to see it submitted and fully done with is so good 🥹 1 down, 2 more to go!

*⁀➷ i helped my parents make dinner tonight! we had stir-fry, and i washed and chopped up the veggies for it! it tasted delicious, and hit just the spot; can’t wait to have leftovers of it tomorrow 🤤

*⁀➷ it was actually kind of cold in my room this morning?? it was rainy outside and my window was open, so i guess a cool breeze was coming in! i’ve literally been melting in this room for weeks, even just a little bit of coolness felt like a miracle 😅 a nice way to start the day!

*⁀➷ did my daily self-care!

*⁀➷ tidied up my room 🫡
 
I've finally starting working on my entry for the Celebrating Diversity contest, I'm still in the sketching stage and I'm already very happy with how it's turning out 😌

also still sick but it hasn't gotten worse so I think I'll be able to make it through my shift today. luckily I have tomorrow off so I can rest some more 😪
 
- Managed to sleep through the night despite the insanely hot temperatures (no AC in the UK lol), at least it rained last night
- Today the weather has been a bit better though! Much less humid, a little less hot, and pretty windy :)
- Went into work, I grabbed a matcha latte from Starbucks and got to sit around in the office AC
- Reheated some of my Japanese curry and had it with rice and an omelette (y)

*⁀➷ I COMPLETED AND SUBMITTED ANOTHER CULMINATING ASSIGNMENT LETS GOOOOO!!! 🥳🥳 i know i’m kinda making school my whole personality right now and i’m sorry LOL, but i’m in genuine disbelief that i only have one assignment left to do until i’m done forever?? like you’re telling me i’m never gonna have to write another essay, or do another presentation, ever again?? i’ve been killing myself for the past 7 years trying to get this diploma, i can’t believe it’s almost over 💪🏻😭

*⁀➷ i received my marks back on a couple of assignments i completed a while ago, and i got full marks on both! 🥳

*⁀➷ i had a pretty chill day at school! one of my teachers told me that she sees me working in a cat or puppy café one day, and it honestly made my day haha 🥹

*⁀➷ melanie martinez’s “void” music video came out today!! it was so nice to see her out of her costume for her new era at the start (it’s incredible, but i miss seeing her lol), and the effects were so so cool! she ate, and i was fed fr 💜

*⁀➷ i watched a movie with my parents before dinner! we watched philadelphia, and while it was a sad movie, it was well-made, and one i thought was important to watch during pride month.

*⁀➷ did my daily self-care!

oh azurill, this is incredible news 💜 i’m so, so happy to hear this; congrats to your mom for kicking cancer’s butt! i hope all of her future scans go well, and that she remains healthy and cancer-free 💜
 
☾ I got Adaman's friendship to level 30 in Pokemon Masters EX!! The second part of the short story was so cute... I feel blessed 😭
☾ I finished Birdie's quest in Stardew Valley today! Also have finally have at least one slime of each main color, worked on my farm some more, and my dinosaur egg hatched!! ;w; I also got a butterfly hutch and the butterflies in the house are so pretty and atmospheric!! I love it!! 🦋
☾ Spent some time hanging out with my family!
 
Today I'm happy because:

- I completed my highest priority tasks for work.
- I started to make a dent in my huge pile of emails.
- I received some recognition from one of my coworkers.
- The weather was really nice today for our walk.
- I've been enjoying all the flowers that are blooming.
- I saw a small bunny down the street in front of a neighbor's house. It wasn't any of the ones I'm familiar with.
- My dog was acting silly and cute today. It made me smile.
- My husband seemed to be feeling better today. He was a little down yesterday.
- I have a massage therapy appointment tomorrow.
- I've been reading again after taking a brief break to focus on other things.

Congrats on finishing another assignment and getting full marks on the others. You got this . Thanks, we have an appointment Tuesday for the start of PT but she’s got this . She’s had such a positive upbeat attitude the whole time so proud of her .

Good things for today!
  • I felt fairly energized when I woke up this morning.
  • A silly point, but I watched this video where someone explained the many cars used as memes in the Gran Turismo series and it got me laughing. It's made even better when a few of them are the ones I've seen in real life with my own eyes, like the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren for example! 🚗
  • My mother and I ate some food from Taco Bell, specifically the triple double crunch wrap and supreme fries. 😋
  • I played some more Tears of the Kingdom and completed a side quest. I also managed to visit Hyrule Castle and grabbed a couple of goodies, with one of them I did not expect to find in an unconventional spot!
  • Reading through the entries for this year's celebrating diversity event. I love the art pieces that people have been putting out! 😊
  • Speaking of which, I'm finally getting around to making my own art for the event lol. It's still in the very rough stages planning out what I want to draw. :)
 
i got all a’s and b’s on my final report card, i was expecting to do worse. so happy i don’t have to have another science class again next year.

also had a good birthday celebrating with my family a few days ago.
