What Are You Happy About Today?

-This afternoon I finished the last episode of Sam&Colby’s Week at the Conjuring House series. Although nothing too paranormal happened, the part in the basement did make me feel like I was watching a horror movie. I wanted to yell at them for being stupid.

-I finished my entry for Creature Feature. I’m glad that I finished it because my nephew was my model for the picture. Although I did change some features.

-Sis and her kids went trick or treating, so I got to munch on chips and candy while I watched The Nightmare Before Christmas.

☾ I made some art today that I'm honestly really proud of. It may just be that the drawing is personal to me, but I still think it turned out quite nicely.
☾ I watched a few more episodes of Eyeshield 21. It was a busy day for me, but I'm glad I was able to relax and watch some anime.
☾ The Los Angeles Kings defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs today 4-1. I truthfully wasn't expecting a win today so this was a nice surprise.
☾ I'm happy that I work tomorrow (in the morning). Weird to say, but it's a huge weight lifted off your shoulders having a job you like.
☾ I should be getting paid in the next day or two. I can't wait to receive my paycheck!!

Happy today because,

- I got up early and was productive at work.

- Played more video games and got caught up on seasonal anime.

- My family finally came home! I missed them.

- My suggestion for the event Banner Beasts got chosen! I asked for people's support in putting Kracko in the banner, and everyone made it happen! Thank you!

- The Texas Rangers slugged their way past the Arizona Diamondbacks to win game 4 of the baseball World Series 11-7!! The Rangers now lead the series 3-1 and only need one more win to win the championship for the first time ever! I'M SO EXCITED!!!!

Happy Halloween, everyone!
☾ I recently commissioned @Pixori for a couple chibis of my RF5 girlfriend Ludmila, and I was sent the finished pieces today and look how cute they are!!! I've been actually elated over these today aaaaaaa

Spoiler: they both turned out incredibly I'm so happy!!

☾ We had our yearly Halloween feast today!! I got to try fried apple pies for the first time, and there was also sweet potato pie topped with streusel (I ate so much pie today omg), roasted veggies, brie with crackers, tortilla chips and homemade salsa... I'm super stuffed and very content rn.
☾ I watched lots of spooky and Halloween-themed videos with my family! We also watched our usual stuff too, and started on BigB's Secret Life series! We've been wanting to check his stuff out for a good while now and I'm glad we finally did!
☾ The token from the calendar and the wish token are very much appreciated!! ;v;
☾ There was a Halloween edition of the Undertale newsletter! It was a pleasant surprise and I enjoyed reading it.
☾ I also played some Spooky's Jump Scare Mansion - Endless Mode and FINALLY managed to beat my first and highest score??? I'm currently ranked 250! It was the spirit of the spooky season I guess!

- I had a blast participating in some Halloween events like Creature Feature and Haunted Travels. I don't go trick-or-treating anymore, so this was kind of my way of celebrating Halloween this year. Can't wait for more upcoming events on these forums.
- Played AC: New Horizons and celebrated Halloween with my villagers. I like how the villagers have unique costumes, unlike NL where they all dress up like Jack.
- Went for a walk outside and admired the Halloween decorations I saw in the neighborhood.
- Luna the cat has been freakin' adorable the past few days. She started purring and watched some Netflix with me. Normally, she sleeps on my mom's lap, but since she's on vacation Luna now sleeps my lap. Here's her with Snapchat filters for Halloween.

Today I'm happy because:

- It was Halloween! My favorite day of the year!
- I didn't have to work and got to sleep in.
- I had a relaxing day at home.
- My dog snuggled with me again while my husband and I finished up Cabinet of Curiosities.
- It's a little bittersweet, but my first TBT event as a mod is coming to a close. It was a lot of fun and I look forward to more in the future.
- I love my current carnival collectible line-up.
- It is technically my birthday now because it's after midnight in my time zone.
- I talked to my mom this evening and we're planning a birthday dinner for this Saturday.

- Pretty sure I just got a part-time job! Just waiting for some admin to be done, and I should be accepted Had some major help from family to get it,,

- Did some shopping today and have all my meals planned for the next few days

- Overall got a lot done today

I almost forgot to post it, but the definite highlight of today was that I got a new phone! And it's not used, it's completely new! My old phone had a bad battery and was slow, so I'm very happy to have a new one. It was a big surprise when it came in the mail because I wasn't expecting anything, but it was a welcome surprise!

Rather than post about something that made me happy just today, I wanted to highlight two major things that have made me happy throughout this past month:

First, I finished my first month as a moderator! I'm happy with how I've been progressing despite the expected growing pains! I have learned so much in such a short period of time and have grown more comfortable with my role with each passing day. I've definitely gained a deeper appreciation for everything my fellow staffmates have done and continue to do for the forums, and am thankful for their guidance and expertise as I do my best to learn from the standard they set each day. There are still many days of being a moderator ahead for me, and I'm excited to keep improving, learning, and growing!

Second, words cannot fully describe what a blessing my best friend has been for me. They've made this past month so incredible! The way our friendship has progressed seemingly overnight to make us as close as we are now is honestly unreal. They've taught me so much about myself and have changed everything as far as the present and future are concerned. Every day is always brightened when I talk to them! I'm forever thankful they're a part of my life!

Today I'm happy because my favorite sports team, the Texas Rangers, have done it. After 63 LONG years of waiting and suffering, they've become baseball World Series champions for the first time EVER in 2023! We had to beat both the Tampa Bay Rays, Baltimore Orioles, defending champ Houston Astros, and NL Champ Arizona Diamondbacks to do it, but we did it. And we went an impressive 11-0 on the road to do it as well, which is a single season postseason record now. I knew my mom was guiding them to victory the entire time, and there's absolutely NOTHING I would trade this for. Amazing job, Rangers.

☾ We had lots of lovely leftovers from yesterday! (I think we still have some lol.) I definitely overdid it on the pie this time but aside from that it's been really nice and convenient! ^^
☾ Our torbie kitty wanted to hang out with me while I worked today. She got lots of pets and took a nap on my bed for a while, and her company was very appreciated!

☾ I watched some Youtube with my family, including more spooky videos and the start of GeminiTay's Phase 5 runs of Decked Out! I love the Halloween Ravagers and the various spooky updates ;v;
☾ Also got to play a little bit of Stardew Valley! Mainly focused on getting my newest farm more established—I've now gotten my pet cat and unlocked the Community Center!

Today I'm happy because:

- It was my birthday and I had a wonderful day. I got so many birthday wishes from people in real life and here on TBT. I appreciated them all.
- I had some really good dreams last night and this morning. In one of them, I was swimming in the ocean with a goblin shark.
- I got to sleep in and had the day off work.
- I had a great massage therapy session.
- I picked up some cards and gift cards for my mom and aunt since their birthday is tomorrow.
- I also treated myself to a few new skincare products. I hope they do okay for me.
- My husband gave me the rest of my birthday presents: a $10 Nintendo eShop card to purchase a game I was thinking about and practically the entire set of Lord of Rings MTG cards including alternate art plus a pretty binder to store them all in.
- We had a nice dinner out at a restaurant of my choice.

First, I finished my first month as a moderator! I'm happy with how I've been progressing despite the expected growing pains! • I bought myself a bag for work, it's a large waterproof zippered tote bag. Which is perfect because the weather is getting cold/rainy and it will start snowing soon. So I definitely needed a nice bag to bring my stuff to work in since I walk part of the way and take the bus. I've been using a reusable grocery bag to carry my stuff in, so this is definitely an upgrade It arrives today. Along with my portable phone charger, and a camelbak water bottle.
• I slept good last night, and used the Pokemon Sleep game to track my sleep
• Going grocery shopping today! Getting the stuff to make chilli in the crockpot
• My cat Mustachio woke me up very sweetly today My cat Maybelle is loving having the heat on because she's old (14 years old) and likes to be warm
• Starting to understand the Circle of 5ths (music theory thing) which will help with my violin playing
• Practiced violin yesterday for 40 minutes.. Getting better at differentiating between g natural and g sharp on the D string

☾ I realize that most of my stress was coming from my old job and anytime I'd become upset, it would have to do with work. I was trapped in the cycle because I didn't want to leave out of fear that my favorite person and I wouldn't be as close. The funny thing is we don't see each other as much as now, but it's allowed me to detach from her. We still talk, but I'm also getting happiness from places other than her it seems. It was a hard decision but I know it was the right one.
☾ I watched an insightful video last week about the struggles of BPD in the workplace, and it described me to a tee. It felt like I was being called out in a million different languages. It was nice to hear the problems explained to me in detail from a licensed professional rather than just experiencing them within myself.
☾ I was having a rough night yesterday, but my favorite person sent me a funny video. She didn't know I was upset last night, but it was nice to hear from her.
☾ I came across this banana flavored chocolate bar while I was out and about at the mall. Banana is my favorite flavor, so I just had to try it. I also found a Jujutsu Kaisen orange-cream flavored soda, which was very intriguing, but I decided to pass on that and get the chocolate bar instead. I can't believe how good this is.
