What Are You Happy About Today?

Today I'm happy because:

- I went into the office and got to see some of my coworkers, one of whom recently got out of the hospital. I'm so glad he's doing better.
- I had a good conversation with my boss about some issues that need to be addressed. She and I are definitely on the same page.
- I was able to take a walk on my morning break.
- I've lost a few pounds since the last time I weighed myself.
- I got to leave work early and had a good massage therapy session.
- My dog was so excited to see me when I got home.
- Technically this happened last night, but my husband gifted me a Black Hayate minion (aka pet) in FFXIV! He's adorable!

1. I went out and ran multiple errands today for the first time since surgery, so it was really nice to actually get dressed and put on a little makeup and feel mildly accomplished!

2. I also have new wall art that I'm really jazzed over. The artist is so talented and was so kind throughout the process of altering and shipping them, and I'm so thrilled every time I see them hanging out on my wall:

3. I'm not necessarily happy about this as it's always uncomfortable to have contractors in my home, but the techs are finally coming back tomorrow to finish up the generator install. It's been kinda looming over my head so I'll be relieved to have it all squared away.

I got my first RLC art commission today and it just made me feel so validated as an artist! I’ve had lots of big plans for my art in the works for a while, and this just gave me the inspiration and motivation I needed to keep those gears moving.

I'm happy because I cleaned my bedroom recently and it's nice to be able to focus more without all the mess!

Also, I have had less things to do recently and for the past week I've mostly been chilling.

Last Friday I went on a dinner with someone, next night I went to a party.

On Saturday I am going to another party and I have a dress and press on nails, both ordered from Amazon, ready to go. They are both so cute, the dress is a beautiful blue and I love it so much, and the press-ons are cute as ever. I'm going to wear my favorite sandals with my outfit too, and wear the new makeup I got last week. I'm so excited to go out!

Then on the 21st (hopefully) I can go to another party! And meet friends there!

I'm so happy to get things checked off my todo list and be able to relax for a while.

☾ I was actually able to finish Lover Pretend today, which was a lot sooner than I was expecting! The last route was significantly shorter than the others, so I just powered on through so I could have it completed. I'd saved a few of the short stories featuring my fave for last so I could end things on a high note too! ^^ Now I feel like I'm ready for Jack Jeanne and Radiant Tale when they come out ahaha.
☾ I saw some new official artwork of one of my comfort characters!! It worked really well as a desktop wallpaper too aaaaa
☾ Watched a few short Youtube videos with my family!
☾ Also had a really good run in Pokémon HeartGold this evening—caught Mewtwo after only three Dusk Balls, Moltres after only two, and then caught Lugia after that! Articuno and Zapdos were a royal pain to catch, so it feels like the RNG balanced out a little. ;v;

➣ I got loads of cleaning done at my second job today. I’m proud of my efforts. I also worked a half hour longer at that job than usual, so that will be good for my paycheck!
➣ I watched a few videos on YouTube which were posted by The Hockey Guy on his other channel. Without getting too specific, it made me feel validated. It’s easy to believe you’re doing something wrong, and you just need to hear it from someone else that what you’re doing is okay.
➣ I see my favorite person tomorrow, of course. I just wanna hug her. ♡

Wow, I got nostalgic when you mentioned that event, Croconaw. I still love how people got creative with making their own villagers. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the dog's name Blue Streak? Regardless, your favourite person did a decent job drawing those two art pieces!

Yes, the dog’s name is Blue Streak. My design is centered around a nickname given to me by my favorite person. In her take, the lightning bolt is protruding from his head — the dark spike above his snout. I didn’t even think of that, initially drawing the character for the event. I’m glad you liked it, too!

- my mom didn't die. She had a stroke and is gonna take awhile to recover, but she is alive and aware when you talk to her.
- my mom managed to stand up today and feed herself breakfast despite having a paralyzed arm & one side of her face
- all our family members are coming together to support my mom and dad. If y'all can pray to your preferred god of choice, or ask the universe to give my mother strength i'd appreciate it

Today I'm happy because, while the morning was kind of bad and it was gloomy outside, today has gotten better and the sun has come out.

I'm also excited for game 5 between the Dallas Stars and Seattle Kraken. Who's going to take the lead?!?

GOT THE HOUSE!

15 houses and 4 offers later, one finally got accepted! Comes with an in-ground pool and 3 minutes from my wife's work as a bonus! (and the market saying sorry for being so difficult )

Definitely helped that we were the first showing and first offer. Looking forward to moving in the middle to end of July!

-I transferred my pumpkin seeds to larger containers. I just used leftover big party cups and cut holes in the bottom. I should be able to acclimate them to outside temperatures in about a week or so and then plant them outside. All but 1 seed of the 8 grew and they are all healthy. So I am going to plant them all and just have a pumpkin patch.

-I dug four deep holes where the clay was so solid that it took so much time and strength go barely make a dent. I'm not happy about that, but I am happy it's done. I also rigged the rebar and will soon pour concrete for a patio I am building on my house.

-Tomorrow I am going to plant all the plants that I grew from seed. A bunch of varieties of tomatoes, zucchini, squash, peppers, and someone gave me a loofa plant. I don't know how that is going to go, but it sounds fun to try.

-The planter boxes of turnips, carrots, onions, beets, and radishes are really doing well. I've been watering them every or every other day depending on how hot it is.

-I just finished my exercise schedule for the day and am about to play a bit of New Horizon before I have to get ready for work in the morning.

- I got to see one of my coworkers and chat in person before his trip to India next week.
- I accomplished everything I wanted to get done. My inbox is looking a bit better.
- I was able to take walks outside on both my morning and afternoon breaks.
- I listened to the birds and saw a few pretty ones.
- I also saw some squirrels outside.
- The weather was so nice and warm.
- Tomorrow is Friday! Can't wait for the weekend!

➣ I raced on Mario Kart 8 a bit with my favorite person. She doesn’t really enjoy these types of games but I appreciate her playing with me. For photo context, she never hits me with items and even fell in to avoid taking me out with a star.

Spoiler: She holds blue shells when I’m in first.

➣ I was told by a few people that are into makeup that my eyebrows actually look good. I’m happy to hear that because I had no idea what I was doing at first, and one of the girls works at a beauty store, so I’m trusting it. Plus, I feel more confident now that my eyebrows look more masculine.
➣ I ordered a new portable magnetic charger since my old one was trash and only worked when it felt like it. This one is so much better. I tested it out the last few days and it works great. It even props up so you can watch stuff while it’s charging. Plus, it was priced cheaper than the trashy one!!

Today I'm happy because, while the morning was kind of bad and it was gloomy outside, today has gotten better and the sun has come out.

The Dallas STARS beat the Seattle Kraken 5-2 and take a 3-2 series lead!! Just need one more win in the next two games to advance to the Western Conference Finals!

Here's what happened yesterday:
- I ate some Mediterranean food at a restaurant that tasted delicious.
- My cousin sent me a picture of her pet parrots on Snapchat.
- Worked out at home.
- Went for a walk outside.

What I did today:
- I went to college and studied at the library on campus.
- Played football in the field.
- Took a nap in the afternoon.
- Received an A on an assignment in art class.
- Worked on my Pokedex in Pokémon Scarlet and caught a shiny Torkoal without the shiny charm or sandwich buffs.
- Ate an avocado sandwich with French fries for lunch.
- Went for a walk outside in the afternoon.
- Worked out at the gym. This time, I lifted heavier dumbbells and worked on my triceps a bit.
- Played AC: New Horizons and collected some glowing moss to decorate my island.

i watched the second semi final for eurovision live today, GO SLOVENIA!!! they have one of my favourite songs of the whole contest and im rooting for a top 3 finish for them, along with australia. even though i had a high fever today, eurovision lifted my spirits.
