(This was in New Horizons)
Last night, I was rushing collecting Manila Clams to make fish bait. I was super stressed, cuz I have a strict rule for myself: No screens after 9 PM. It was 8:45 PM. So I dug up 18 clams, and I also had my guard up for tarantulas. (Only 1 more month until they leave. Whoop!!!

) I quickly rushed over to the outdoor workbench, and I rapidly mashed A to quickly craft the bait. When I was done, it was 8:54 PM. By that point, I was stressed. “What if this isn’t enough?” “What if the bait doesn’t work?”
Those were the thoughts I was thinking out loud to myself. That day, March 31, 2025, was my last chance to catch the elusive fish. If I didn’t catch one now, I’d have to wait until December 1. I already donated one to the museum, but I needed one more for the very disappointingly small model from Flick. I already caught two of them this year.
So I bolted up to the clifftop river. (I had my golden fishing rod btw. Gives the fish less time to get away, and more time for me to catch it.) For the next 3 minutes, I threw bait into the river. Whenever I saw a large shadow size, I fished it up. I caught two black bass. (Yay. The sea bass equivalent of the river.) When I got over halfway through my bait supply, it spawned. “Omg. Is this really it?” I said to myself. So I put my bobber in the water, and the fish didn’t notice it until it was very close to it. “…This is definitely it.” I whispered out of excitement. The fish took two nibbles, and on the third time, it bit the bobber. I quickly pressed A and reeled it in. I saw the majestic fish leap out of the water, and my happiness levels went up to infinity. I had done it. The mission was complete. I managed to do it at the last minute. (When I caught it, it was 8:59 PM.) I’m really happy.
At the very last minute, I caught the elusive Stringfish.
