What Are You Happy About Today?

I have lived near the base of the famous Pike's Peak for a decade. But I have never had anyone to go up to the top with... until tomorrow!!

Going with my Dad, one of my brothers and his family! We are taking the cog railway up to to the top! Wondering how I will do at 14k feet Altitude has weird effects on people, but I am super excited!

I finished crocheting a snuggler for my friend’s baby shower! This surprisingly was pretty quick to complete. I’ll be doing another one for my partners sister too

Got the chance to talk to the new coworker today. She's going to Uni for like Film, and is into writing/script writing and it made me just to utterly happy to find someone else in the creative aspect like that, where we can share story ideas and things we've worked on before.
I need to focus on applying to some jobs but after that my focus will be my writing :3
Such a burst of excitement and happiness today~I need to breathe properly.

Signed the contract for my new job!

Washed my hair, chilled out, played some DS and 3DS since I've been getting back into them. I'm happy I have a week to relax before starting work, it feels a lot better to laze about now I don't feel the stress of job hunting

Having fun in Pokemon SoulSilver (my fav game of all time), messing around in post-game, I'm assembling an all-dragon team and used Pal Park for the first time to transfer over Kyogre and Bagon. It's amazing to use new features on a game you have owned and played excessively for 15 years.

Tried some M&S chocolate covered custard cream biscuits with my coffee, wow, they're rich

Made some plans with my friend to do a walk and then go get ice cream later in the week

It has been,, a day.

On the bright side though, I managed to make some good progress today! Still heaps to do, but I'm grateful I was actually able to sit down and focus for most of the day despite things.

My labwork went smoothly!

I was offered a lift in tomorrow, which I'm grateful for.

So so so excited for skar passing the exams... dr skar.. It's just so cool to see I'm so happy for them, seeing all their hard work coming to fruition.

I went to the gym this morning despite really not wanting to. Between me being sick over the end of March and my PT being on holiday I hadn't done any weight lifting in a few weeks, so was good to get back into it. It was a really good session. Going Wed and Fri too.

I've had a busy few days and the fatigue hit hard this afternoon. I decided to take it easy and watched a 3-part Netflix documentary on child influencers and was both intrigued and horrified. Why is this industry not more regulated?

Took a relaxing bubble bath with a book. My phone was near dead so left it charging in the kitchen. Oh my god it is so liberating making your phone inaccessible and just completely losing yourself in a book.

Made a burrito bowl for dinner. Yum.

I'm home alone tonight so the plan is a glass of wine and to find something to watch.

I'd hoped for some gaming time today but didn't quite have the energy. Tomorrow is completely free though so maybe then. I love being on annual leave.

My furry sons have been adorable today. I took these while I was watching the documentary. I love how they always want to be close to me.

I might still be really sore from yesterday, but I spent a lot of the day putting up drywall in my basement and it looks really great. It's still unfinished and I have a ways to go, but I'm happy with the progress I made. Especially since I'm mostly learning as I do it lol.

☾ I wasn’t feeling good today, and while I was snoozing on the couch, my mom put on some music I like I bolted right awake LOL which was not her plan, but it was really sweet of her and I really enjoyed having it on for a little while!

☾ I’ve beaten Helper to Hero in Kirby Super Star Ultra with several more of the helpers now! I’m getting the hang of some of the ones that seemed trickier to me at first, so hopefully I won’t get stuck on any of them!! ;u;

☾ Got my commission back today and it turned out adorable!! ;v; I really love it aaaaa

☾ My parents and I watched Grian’s new Hermitcraft video and some other stuff on Youtube this evening! My mom also made an apple crisp tonight… I love apple crisp

I had such a wonderful day with my family taking the Cog Railway up to the summit of Pike's Peak! I took a lot of pictures, but they don't give you the true feel of how massive and expansive the Rocky Mountains are!

The elevation was certainly something! I live at around 6,000 ft so I was better prepared for 14,000 ft. But I still felt a little lightheaded for about a minute, and breathing was definitely harder (I walked up a bunch of stairs, and decided to take the elevator down ) there were EMT's everywhere though because it's apparently common for people to get altitude sickness.

So many people on the train were dozing off in their seats on the way down which the conductor told my group was common as an altitude thing!

It's no where near the tallest peak, but wow is it impressive!

Long winded, sorry.. I was just so happy to see such a beautiful experience with family!!

• I’ve been sleeping super well this past week thanks to some adjustments my psychiatrist made to my meds
• I’ve been painting more lately! Will be sure to post pics in my art thread today
• Been doing a good job with staying consistent with exercise
• Excited about a violin project I’m doing it’s learning 25 Christmas songs and recording myself playing them to post on Facebook in July for “Christmas in July”
• My kitties have been doing well. Sweethearts as usual
• Glad to go take a walk later today outside. The weather has been getting nicer
• Excited for the Switch 2 to come out. It’s gonna be quite awhile till I buy one but it’s still exciting. It gets released the day after my birthday in the meantime my launch day original switch is still going strong.

This afternoon I received a call from a company I applied to a few weeks ago. They're very interested in the skillset I've developed working in education while also having a background in their industry. We had an upfront discussion about salaries, and it looks like they could match my current income. It could be a good career move. I should hear back either late this week or early next week if the hiring manager wants to invite me to interview. By the way he phrased things sounds like they're very likely to give me a call.

I received an invitation to interview for this role next week!

It has been a quiet day. I was feeling a bit low at one point then decided to go for a walk in the sun and felt a lot better for it.

The plan for the evening is a takeaway from a local chicken place and Star Trek: Voyager with my partner.

oop i have been busy so haven't posted in a couple days

• had a regular cashier shift on sunday and it honestly wasn't suuuuper busy, i did have a lady who had five separate returns that slowly accumulated but there were slow lulls so i had time to work on it
• i had my first solo monday cash office shift and the things required to do on monday is a little different; prepare the week's deposit bag, the regular deposit, and put in the coin order for the following week
  • i was a little frazzled with how much paperwork was required (੭ ˊ^ˋ)੭ but!! i survived it
• today was pretty slow at the beginning but of course it started to get busy near noon
• i got complimented on my nails a couple of times!!
• one more shift and then it's my day off + my birthday heh
• oh another thing i like to notice when i'm out and about is to see if i spot any of my favourite car driving and i saw two this morning on my way to work!!!! i loooove the look of a volkswagen beetle (ಡ᎔ಡ) both of the ones that i saw were white (one regular and one convertible)

Hung out with a friend in town today, that was fun. I was initially going to go out with her and her sibling, but they got sick so couldn't go. We wandered around a bit, had a bite to eat, and caught up since we haven't seen each other for a week and won't for another two. We went to this cheap restaurant that does meals for €10 on Tuesdays, though we thought they did €10 everyday so I'm happy we ate there on a day that was cheaper. For some reason this place was also selling mr beast burgers/meals which?? why would you pay €18 just for that when there's the same thing for 10?

I'm arranging a meet up with another friend, but idk when it's going to go ahead. If we can't find a day that suits I'll probably just call them to talk that way or something. But if we do go out we'll most likely go to an amusement park (if we can get enough money for more than the bare minimum rides lol)

My mam and I went to a cafe, which we don't normally do. It was nice to relax with her for once someplace that isn't home. Got cheesecake and a mocha, she got tea and apple tart. So today was surprisingly uneventful, we didn't fight or anything, not even a snit on either of us.

Didn't get any study done, but I wasn't anxious either so it's a temporary win (trying to cram 3 years of learning into a month is crazy) but a win nonetheless

but the other headache & a half was getting out it's box as you can see in the picture... i did it though

☾ A couple plushes I ordered earlier this month arrived here today!! ;v; I have an appointment tomorrow so I’m saving my blind bag plush for afterwards, as a lil treat

☾ I only need to clear Helper to Hero in Kirby Super Star Ultra with Birdon and Bugzzy now, and I’ll have completed it with all of the helpers!

☾ Also got to play Style Savvy: Trendsetters for a little bit this evening!

Today started out rough for me, but ended up okay.

I was able to stay home from the concert; my whole family was understanding about me not feeling good. I felt much better after taking a nap. I’m still not feeling 100% but I’m feeling much less stressed than I was feeling earlier.

Last night I got a UR ark that I wanted in a game.

I made more progress on an easter egg that I’m making for fun; may make more progress later. I’m still really happy how it is turning out. I am worried about when it comes to resizing it, but I’ll worry about that later, I guess lol.

A couple friends checked up on me yesterday and today; it meant a lot to me .

I was ready to rot in bed the whole day (kinda did, I was on Stardew for hours), but a close friend of mine was in town for the day so we impusively made plans to meet at like 5:30 PM lol. Well it was nice driving out and having coffee with him Even if it was just an hour, we caught up with a lot of stuff. Super happy we got to see each other after months!!

I'm putting together an Easter basket for my mom. So far I have 2 puzzles (1 underwater theme and 1 rainbow zebra themed), a racoon plushie, some ferrero rocher eggs and then I'll probably just get some stickers to finish it off. I also found a pink strawberry throw blanket that I was gonna give her but I've decided to keep it instead.
