What Are You Happy About Today?

Today has actually been really nice!!

I went in early and managed to get a bit of work done, but then realised I have a mandatory basic chem refresher due tomorrow that I missed the notification for because I enrolled late But! It took a couple hours but I managed to finish it tonight.

Went to a seminar which was on a really interesting topic, a contributory aspect to cancer cell phenotypic diversity I hadn't heard about before (I don't wanna be too specific lmao) Then I chatted with people around me and made a bunch of new acquaintances! I ended up getting lunch with a couple of them while I was waiting for the next session we had.
The session went fine, and a group of about 6 of us stuck around chatting for an hour! It was just nice to get out of the house and the desk to socialise for a while.

I came back, and managed to finish the last of the stuff due tomorrow, then I had a really nice call with my partner

I've done Karate for eight years and earned my black belt first degree in that, and Aikido for almost 12 years now and I'm one belt rank away from having a black belt in that. So in total I am one belt rank away from having a black belt in both Karate and Aikido.

Oh snap, that's awesome!

it was essentially blizzarding this morning when we left so i was worried i wouldn't make it on time, but i did!!! because of the snow, it was suuuch a slow day which was so nice

i was able to clean up my register and help with my coordinator's returns so i was able to clock out on time which is always nice

after picking me up, my family went straight to our voting centre and placed our votes in so that's done!

now i can spend the rest of my day lazing around (๑'ᵕ'๑)⸝*

This week has been hell. Work is a nightmare and the stress is bleeding into the rest of my life. Sleep is awful, my heart rate hit 185bpm, and my heart monitor keeps telling me to "take it easy and rest today" - I can't! Both times I had to leave the house today I had such horrible anxiety and nausea. My anxiety has not been this bad in such a long time!

But this evening was the break I needed. I had no energy to go out, but didn't want to bail. Met my best mate for a glass of wine, where I vented all the work drama, she shared the nonsense going down at her work, and then we went to the theatre to see Dear Evan Hansen. I went into it completely blind but LOVED IT. I was so impressed with the minimalist set design. And she bought me an ice cream during the intermission.

I don't usually stay up this late on a work night, but absolutely needed to take a shower, and now made a cup of tea to unwind before I try to sleep. I'll be knackered tomorrow but damn it was worth it. I needed a night out. I much prefer an activity to just sitting in the pub all night.

And to top it off, her husband bought her two tickets to see Dracula in a few months. Asked if I wanted to join her. Can't wait!

posting for the last few days! I wasn't feeling well and didn't do a whole lot ahaha ;u;

☾ Got my eighth gym badge in Pokémon Omega Ruby!!

☾ After saving up my leaf tokens all month pretty much, I completed a lot of the February fortune cookies in Pocket Camp Complete, and got items I wanted from a few more! Haven’t gotten around to reading the mini-stories I unlocked yet, but I might try to grind for more leaf tokens and get some more cookies tomorrow before they rotate out of the shop.

☾ Watched some Youtube videos with my family! We got to see SmallishBeans’ new Hermitcraft episode, some more of LDShadowLady’s Empires S1 series, and my mom and I saw Markiplier’s new Headliners video too!

☾ I’m finally feeling better today, and I was able to get a lot of things done I’d been wanting to do all week!! ;v; Hoping to get some more finished up tomorrow.

Today I’ve been a little down, but I’m overall doing okay and a bit better than I’ve been lately .

I’m happy that Bugs @xSuperMario64x & @-Mars-both reached out to me about something and that we were able to talk a bit .

Only a couple more days until Wriothesley’s banner in Genshin ; I’ve been waiting since I started playing about a year ago for his rerun. Hoping to get him, his weapon and maybe him to c1; I wouldn’t mind getting Furina’s weapon either along the way (not a high priority though). I’m happy too about Charlotte being rated up since I’ve been wanting her for awhile now. I had fun using her in some trial and wanted to try using her.

Really looking forward to this weekend’s among us sessions . Hoping for a bigger turnout of snacks since it is @Xara ’s birthday this weekend . Also really hoping my connection is good . I want to get my space cat and enjoy my derpy dragon pet more; both are toxic and inedible btw @BetsySundrop .

Progress has been slow on my drawing but I’m still happy with how it is coming along. I think it probably is best that I’m pacing myself but working on it as much as I can each day to avoid burnout since I keep getting more possible ideas for it. I added something that I’m really happy how it turned out. I’m again appreciating the tools in digital art programs that I would not have if I was drawing traditionally. the lasso, cut and paste are just as helpful as undo button. Took me awhile how to use this lasso tool but I got the hang of it as long as the details that I’m trying to move is not too close to something that I don’t want to mess up, and not too small. I had to readjust the size of something and move it around.

Happy today because I got up early and was productive at work. I had some nice chats with friends and had fun playing through the newest story in Honkai: Star Rail. The Dallas Mavericks also defeated the Charlotte Hornets 103-96, which is cool because someone I know was at the game. Overall a really solid day and I'm looking forward to sleeping in a bit and getting paid tomorrow. Hope everyone had a fantastic Thursday!

- I ate some French fries and a burger for lunch that tasted yummy.
- Completed a sketch. I used mainly conté crayon since my initial attempt with ink didn't turn out great.
- Went for a walk outside and admired the sunshine. Glad the weather is getting nicer.
- Watched some NBA and I'm glad that the Warriors beat the Magic.

Yesterday was a great day off. Happy I got to sleep in. We took Aurora for a walk in the park for her morning walk.
Spent some time working on a drawing and playing Pokemon Violet.

We went to the strawberry festival/ concert and it was so much fun. Got a strawberry shortcake while I was there. Just enjoyed catching up with my Aunt. The concert was really good.

Happy to have today and tomorrow off. Going to take Aurora back to the park this afternoon. Then get some chores done this afternoon.

I am super happy it is Friday~
Off from work till Monday. I can work on my hobbies and play animal crossing; Consteau should be all packed into my island so I get to see him walking about, adorable. I need a pluhie of him.

On the way back from work, I sent a animal crossing card to someone, and will be getting a Japanese Opal in return.

Walking home, I saw some blossom fall from a small tree, I looked up to see a lil bee trying to find some good blossoms and it was so sweet to see bees again.

Found some more applications and online workshops that i can work on in my own time.

Been playing with my cats a bit more today~ And its been really sunny today, still cold but the sun was a nice feeling.

It's Friday. I've never needed a Friday more.

Home alone tonight. Cooked myself a steak and pasta, paired with a glass of cab sav. Now TV, an early night, and cuddles with my kittens.

I had a really good day at work despite it being really stressful and I was able to take my coworkers harshness not as seriously which was great. I'm able to realize that they are just very stressed during important times at work and that once that time passes they relax.

I finally got an outfit idea for an event that I am going to on Tuesday night and I was able to order the shirts for it and I think I'm going to wear some earrings to match as well.

I was finally able to order a labubu! They are so cute and should be arriving hopefully by Sunday or Monday.

Happy today because I got to sleep in and then was productive at work. Had some good laughs while there too. The sun is out today and the weather is really nice, and I'm glad to be off for the weekend. I also got paid today and my bank account is looking good. Tonight the Dallas Stars play the LA Kings in Dallas, which should be a fun game to watch. Also looking forward to playing more Xenoblade Chronicles 2 this weekend as well as some ACNH. My current friends make me so happy as well with how supportive they are of me.

Tonight the Dallas Stars play the LA Kings in Dallas, which should be a fun game to watch.

And the Dallas Stars crushed the Kings 6-2 to stay above the Minnesota Wild by several games, and I finished the newest HSR story as well despite how long it was. What a great ending to a week.
