What Are You Happy About Today?

Happy today because I got to sleep in, and I'm glad I did because I really needed it, lol. I also ordered groceries and can't wait for them to get here. I talked more with some of my friends last night and really enjoyed it. I'm also going to be setting up a doctor's appointment soon for my annual physical, and while I'm kind of nervous about it, I'm glad I have a really great and new doctor. I'm excited for Karma's SMP Jamboree session tonight as well, I feel like it's going to be a ton of fun! Last, but certainly not least, the Dallas Stars are on a three-game winning streak and play the Utah Hockey Club tonight. Should be a fun game to watch. Hope everyone continues to have a good weekend!

I'm on the train again at the very start of another grand Amtrak adventure that will take me from Seattle to Los Angeles, over the Chicago (the long way through Texas), and back to the Bay area of California. I swear, it feels like the second I step onto a train I can feel my stress just completely melt away in seconds! I do have a flight to get through before the Amtrak Odyssey really begins, but since I love flying too I'm quite looking forward to that too!

☾ My parents and I watched an episode of Hunter x Hunter and Demon Slayer this morning! Also watched some short Youtube videos with them later on c:

☾ I played a bit of Pocket Camp Complete! I finished the goals for the gardening event, still want to full clear all the event tasks though.

☾ I got!! More little guys!! ;w; A green cube Peepy and a party Munmun… the party pattern is one of my favorite common Munmuns so!! v pleased about that. Picnic is my favorite Munmun... but it’s the rare...

☾ I played through the start of winter in Story of Seasons! I was putting off starting winter for Reasons... yes I cried And I was finally able to take the bee and mushroom field from Elise!! Come spring I will be a cute little beekeeper!! also about to try to take another field from Giorgio, but we're pals so I'm not as pressed about beating him tbh

☾ Worked on a sketch a little bit today!

☾ And I got to play Among Us hide and seek this evening!! Also grabbed the Snowbean Cosmicube (free currency cosmicubes my beloved) which has some really cute festive items ;v;

We defeated them in overtime 3-2, yay!! We don't have to say we lost to the Utah Hockey Club (yet).

Yesterday was really nice!
- I wasn’t able to sleep until 4ish so I was pretty tired, but I was thankfully able to chill for most of the day! I completed a story quest on a game, and read some one piece! I’ve started rereading it again because I’ve gotten behind, and am gonna read all the way through! I’m up to the flashback in Drum island right now which still makes me teary ;u;
- I was able to finish a drawing for someone on time, and watched skar’s birthday hide and seek stream! I really wish I could watch and participate more but, sleep.
- I also finally changed up my lineup! I’ve been waiting to use this one, I’m so happy I actually was able to do the birthstone gradient I was aiming for!
- My family went out and we had a picnic by the water for dinner! We hit a ball around and went for a walk which was nice.
- We didn’t know it was on, but there were also fireworks where we went!! Sadly we had just left when they started but we doubled back and watched the second half together! It was a really nice surprise
- Played some scarvio with my partner doing BBQs and got some rest

Happy today was a great day off.
Was able to sleep in after yesterday’s long busy work day. Had a nice morning walk with Aurora. Went grocery shopping this morning. Had a nice relaxing afternoon playing ACNH and Pokemon Violet . Found and caught 4 shiny Pokemon. Started reading a new book I got from my aunt for Christmas and really enjoying it. Had a nice evening walk with Aurora before it got cold again.

☾ The Los Angeles Kings won their game against the Tampa Bay Lightning tonight. It was a great one. I was listening to it. It thrills me to say that the Kings are a good hockey team.
☾ I have overtime this coming week at work. This job (the pay) has been the best thing to ever happen to me. And the best part is that they’ll hand out overtime to those who want to work it.
☾ I drank a liter of my favorite water today. It felt refreshing.

Today was okay! Mood still is not that great but it wasn’t bad

In Genshin, I finished the quest line for the last new area in Fontaine and maxed the fountain. I just need about 23 more hydroculus until I get the dance of the dew white springs achievement.

- My family and I went out to eat at a Pakistani restaurant for dinner that tasted good, especially the kebab.
- Began pickleball lessons and made significant progress on the first day. I already played tennis in college so having some experience helped me a bit.
- Luna was being cute and she slept on my lap.

Having a really relaxed Sunday so I’m very happy. It started snowing late last night, but it had been raining beforehand so I wasn’t sure if it would stick.

Woke up this morning and everywhere was covered, so I’m extremely happy. Nothing makes me happier than getting all cozy inside whilst its freezing outside.

Last weekend, my partner and I rearranged our living room and moved a couch from the lower-level room to the living room. It looks and feels MUCH better. So much more natural light, better seating, and the new couch doesn't make my back hurt. We live with one roommate who was gone for the holidays so we were really hoping he'd like it, haha. He loved it! So we don't have to move it all back.

I was supposed to go into work today, but due to blizzard conditions, I'm sitting on my couch with my dog AND we all get paid to work from home, which is extremely rare. I got to take my dog outside earlier and watch her sprint around the yard and bite snow.

My partner is in the kitchen making waffles since I have to work a half day, so in a little bit I'll be able to take a break and eat a delicious, relaxing breakfast. Two thumbs up for today.

My Betta, Valentino, is doing great.
Beyond sinus issues, I've been feeling pretty good.
I managed to get a very hard to find book via my pokemon cards. I wasn't expecting to find it for a few months and the timing was perfect tbh, otherwise I would have had to pass on it. Not many of these books are in English, and it's usually expensive. I got it slightly cheaper due to someone already having it on the continent already, which also helped. The book should help me with my aquatic plants, especially if I do grow tubs outside.
Been making progress on the clutter accumulation from 2023/24. Looking forward to spring when it should make it's way completely out one way or another.
Just happy it is January. Oh so happy. Never have I been so happy with the boring cold month of January.
Also really happy with fields of misteria. I've only got 11 hours on it so far, but it's fun and the characters are done so well.
My Hydrocotyle tripartita var. Japan, in Orville's tank, is flowering.

This might be kinda silly but I’m happy I tried chatting some more on a discord server. I’ve been thinking a lot about the story in Genshin. I was nervous again but I was happy to see others had some things to say too about what I had brought up. I left more feedback too for them; posted it somewhere I normally don’t post, so good chance I will delete it later, but I’m going to try not to since I think they really could use the criticism (constructive). Also sent more in game feedback. I haven’t felt like giving feedback in awhile since I was so upset with their customer support; I won’t forget the bad customer service anytime soon but at least it’s not stopping me from enjoying the game.

I was happy that I wasn’t as bummed as I thought I’d be about not placing in the tbt event . I still hope to win some time and I’ll probably feel discouraged again, but like I was with the halloween event, I was really happy with how I did and just doing the events. I was really happy that so many people liked my greeting card even though I’m still clearly learning and that it wasn’t perfect. I don’t know if I can participate in as much as I’ve been lately but how much practice I’ve been getting out of the art activities is encouraging me to keep participating when I can since they are really helping keeping me inspired to keep improving .

I’m working a bit on my drawing for Xara. I’m hoping to get more done and add some more onto it; I got a few more ideas. No idea if they will look good but still worth trying.

Today I had a really nice relaxing day, I played some Wuthering Waves! I got a lot done in the game today, I was able to get a lot of the waypoints activated and I did a few sidequests as well. It was nice to complete some things so that way I do not have a huge backlog of quests to do later down the line. I also played some Genshin and was able to do trounce domains alone (it was a struggle, but I did it) and did a lot of stuff on the BP thing so I can get closer and closer to finishing BP (it just started so I have some time)

I also cleaned my room a little bit which was nice because it was a bit cluttered.

Today was a good one for me despite a few points. Unlike half of my posts in this thread, this'll be a quick one!

• Work wasn't busy, so I was chilling for the most part.
• Feel free to skip this point. I saw a Volvo 240 Estate again parked on the side of the road! In fact, it appears to be the exact same one I did an oil change on back in October last year!
• Had a good dinner this evening. I ate some lasagna and a chocolate cake of some sort that was gifted to my mother.
• I continued making progress on my Formula 1 McLaren Lego set! I finished the second bag this evening and I'm on my final one. It won't be too long before I reach 100% completion! It feels so satisfying to hear pieces snapping together hehehe.

• I was driven to the local mall after a dentist appointment so I could buy seasoned french fries as a snack!

• I beat Echoes of Wisdom! It was pretty quick for me to finish the story, but I still enjoyed everything about it!
• I had a nice chat with my partner @ZeldaCrossing64. Since I'm going to school in two days, I definitely needed it.

January 5, 2024

• I woke up from a long nap...and saw that my Secret Stocking Stuffers entry was among the staff favorites!! I didn't expect this to happen, but I'm very grateful for that, hehe.

It's my last day before I go back to school, and I feel a little sad knowing that my two-week winter break is coming to an end. But I'm happy I could make the most out of it, and I'm very grateful to the TBT community for making it possible!

Happy today because I played a TON of Wuthering Waves and my other games this morning, and pretty much finished the Wuthering Waves update. I still have more farming to do, but aside from that I'm good. I'm also glad I work from home this week the entire week, because the weather is uh... less than desirable to go out in right now. I had some nice chats with friends and family as well. I'm also watching the Detroit Lions versus Minnesota Vikings game and hoping that the Lions take the win. Hope everyone has a great week!
