- The bad weather seems to have calmed down a little today

- Had a bit of a nice Autumnal cozy time going to our regular cafe with my friend today, I had a delicious homemade salmon quiche and a slice of ginger cake. It was good to meet up with my friend since I hadn't seen him in a while, we had a catch up

- Just enjoying my time off, I found a fanfic that's regularly updating that i really love, and sleeping a lot because I guess I needed it!

- Played some Lethal Company with @Mokuren and @Aquilla today! I was really nervous about joining them at first, but I really did enjoy myself! It was fun goofing off with them both, despite my anxieties about not being a good asset to the team xD I also didn't want to damage their poor ears with my screaming >_> I screamed a lot. LOL

- I leave for Boston in 4 days!!! I'm so excited >< I cannot wait to see my friends again! We have so much planned. Like apple-picking, baking cookies, going to the aquarium (where they have an AC:NH collab going on atm!), and many other things! I'm really excited for the ATARASHII GAKKO! concert too!!

- I got a pumpkin spice coffee from Dunkins today! I also got some avocado toast. Very yummy. Very delish! ^_^

- Working on a scarf for my grandma, which is turning out really really good!!! I also want to figure out how to make @Midoriya 's scarf work the way I had originally envisioned. For context: He wanted Deku's vigilante scarf with the cape. I used these magnetic snap buttons used for wallets/purses, but the actual scarf and cape are too heavy for the buttons to stay together. So, I'm still trying to figure out a way to make it work.. T^T But I'm happy because I'm slowly but surely clearing out my queue of stuff to work on so I can make room for new projects c:

- I got a Prym crochet hook the other day. In 4mm size, I think? :0 I was really excited and happy about this because I hear so many good things about the Prym hooks! However, I've also heard they break easy.. so I must be careful with it! I also heard the Woobles are releasing more Sanrio crochet kits! I MUST have the Pompompurin one!!! >w<

- Packing for my trip today, just a bit though. I'm really excited, like I said before. I'm only doing a little bit at a time, but the more I pack-- the closer the day gets!!! EEEEE!! I haven't seen my pals in so long. I get happy and excited when I start packing for a vacation, lol. I just need to figure out how I'm going to carry my crochet bag, my mini-backpack and snacks. I'm only allowed to bring 2 personal items and a carry-on luggage thing. >< I'll figure it out though, I'm sure!

My neighbor's have an original copy of Mario Sunshine. It's so nostalgic. (kinda needed it. I haven't been doing well).

I'm going to play through it. I could probably finish it in a day. Since I don't plan on playing to 100% completion.

They also have Luigi's Mansion. I've never played that one.

aha, and only one day later...I finished it. I was correct about how long it would take me.

It was fun. I know people are very mixed on Mario Sunshine. I think this game is strongest at the beginning. The levels start to get tougher and more cryptic as it goes on.

Like, the bowser boat section at the end didn't seem well thought out. The actual Bowser fight was also lagging the console. Had a point towards the end when I glitched through a bridge and Mario was walking around in some sort of limbo beyond the game boundaries.

☾ I played ACNH for a bit while one of my cats snoozed in my lap, and earned my gold Fishing Tourney trophy!! Also took the opportunity to cook some of the recipes involving fish that I hadn’t made yet—I still need a lot more squid, scallops, and tiger prawns ahahaha… and a sweet shrimp… and a dab…

Some days prior to September 27, 2024

• I watched the 2024 Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix and it was a close fight for first place! The battle lasted for pretty much the latter half and it was quite tense seeing on who will come out on top. At one point, four cars were battling for the win until it dropped to two, then it was a win for Oscar Piastri who managed to hold on to the end. This guy got lots of potential!
• I haven't really given them a proper thank you, but I'd like to thank @/xSuperMario64x (Bug) and @/BetsySundrop for drawing my NH rep for the canvas crossing activity during this year's TBT Fair event. It means a lot to me that they even thought about drawing my rep in the first place. Recently, @/Xara surprised Bug and I with a drawing from her! It was a pleasant surprise and it really hit me hard. Thank you, homie.

It's a group drawing by BetsySundrop, but still made me happy regardless (I'm right behind Redd's ear lol)!

And finally, the surprise drawing that Xara made for Bug and I! The one detail that she added is both of the representatives holding each other's hands. I'm just... I just love this. I haven't held Bug's hand since March earlier this year and it's been a long time. I know it'll happen again someday.

• I... beat Paper Mario The Thousand-Year Door! As I started the final chapter, I wanted to complete it in one sitting, but had to leave the rest for another day. The final boss was quite the challenge and had to really strategize my attacks at the right time (Vivian's veil move helped me avoid the charged attacks altogether. She really came in clutch). Needless to say, I came out on top on my first try and enjoyed the game throughout along with a few QoL changes I wasn't even aware of. I'll definitely continue to keep playing as there are a bunch of side quests and extra goodies I haven't done yet!

• I had the day off from work and didn't have to worry about it.
• Weather was pretty sunny!
• Feel free to skip this point. Guys, I'm VERY happy to report that in the last three months, I've truly spotted an interesting car for the first time! I was driving on the road as per usual stopped at an intersection. There's a car showroom right beside the main road and I decided to look there for a bit while waiting for the light to turn green. I legit gasped and said, "no way!" It turns out a Maserati MC20 was peeking out through the showroom windows, giving me lots of happiness on the inside. This means that it's the 247th victim car to add to my identified cars list, and so continues the trend of European cars being added lol.
• I ended up going to Ikea with my mother and sister! We looked around, but my main highlight whenever I go there will always be for the food. Even my sister shares the same sentiment with me lol. I had Swedish meatballs with mashed potatoes, gravy, sauce, and poutine believe it or not! It really made me full. We also bought some hotdogs and ice cream before we left haha.
• Feel free to skip this point as well. To my pleasant surprise while I was driving my way back from Ikea, I went through a neighbourhood and saw a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII for the first time ever! I was stopped at a stoplight when I saw it, so I really got to take a good look at the minor details to make sure I'm not getting it wrong. This now makes it the 248th victim car to add to the list hehehe. Didn't expect to see two cars in one day for the first time in quite a long while.
• I ended up going grocery shopping with my mother and sister and got what we needed. In the process, I bought a Hotwheels which caught my eye!

It's a McLaren F1 GTR! This looks like a good opportunity to try and recreate this livery in Gran Turismo 7 someday hehehe.

• Played Gran Turismo 7 and did some driving. After spotting the Maserati MC20 earlier in the day, I was inspired to go drive it in-game. Unfortunately, the aforementioned Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII isn't in the game rip.

In my previous posts in this thread where I mentioned other cars I already saw, I decided to pit them all together in the same race. From first to last, we have: a 1988 Toyota Supra 3.0 GT Turbo A (third generation), a 2011 Toyota Aqua S (called the Prius C here in Canada), a 2001 Porsche 911 GT3 (996), a 2019 Porsche spaceship Taycan Turbo S, a 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8, a 2020 Maserati MC20, and a 2016 Porsche Cayman GT4. Almost everyone is here!

September 28, 2024 to September 29, 2024

• Not a lot happened on these two days since I was busy with work. Speaking of which, I had to talk to a customer about an issue with one of their tires (it was only low on pressure and just needed to be inflated with more air). They were really happy about the stuff I mentioned to them and what I did to solve the problem. Seeing a customer smile and personally thanking me makes me really happy.
• Played a couple of Among Us sessions with the fellow TBTers organized by @/Dunquixote! Some highlights to mention are imposters doing really well to shapeshift innocent crewmates and frame them (which resulted in imposter wins a couple of times oops), @/IonicKarma somehow not seeing me during hide and seek when I was right in front of her, @/Dinosaur indirectly impacting the outcome of a round a few times thanks to a disconnect, and @/Halloqueen being in different crewmate colours that's NOT orange lol.

I think @/Dinosaur was the imposter for this round and because of her poor internet, the crewmates won? It even played that weird fanfare which was hilarious lol.

• I had the day off today, but I spent a lot of time trying to recover from my sickness. Despite that, I still got to relax at home and not worry about work.
• I did play some Paper Mario The Thousand-Year Door and Gran Turismo 7 where I completed side quests and messing around with engine upgrades to hear cars rev higher than they normally should respectively.
• @/Jeremy told me that the prize packs have finally been shipped out! Just gonna have to wait a little longer and it'll arrive at my mailbox!

I had the day off today and I had my usual breakfast burrito/coffee combo, I got a new tattoo, I got my costume out of the way for some upcoming halloween parties, and I got to tune into some playoff baseball and just overall relax.

Today was a great productive day off. Had a nice morning walk with Aurora. Made pancakes for breakfast. Got the yard work done. Got some errands done before it rained. Had a nice relaxing evening drawing and plenty of Aurora snuggles. Having fun with the mushroom event. It’s too bad all those amazing mushrooms don’t get to stay. Hope everyone had a great day.

• I feel excited and motivated for the rest of the week! Gonna have a busy and productive week/weekend. Got a lot of violin stuff to work on. Upping my practice time to prepare for my next lesson. Taking a few weeks off lessons to really put in a bunch of practice to get some material down so I’m ready for my next lesson.
• Had a good volunteer shift last night with the rescue kitties
• I started getting back into drawing and am enjoying it!

I've had many happy animal encounters since I last posted here. Deer, groundhogs, squirrels, birds, worms, and bugs. I even saw my beloved Mortimer again!

Working on the TBT Fair was so much fun! I loved seeing all of your entries. I really loved how much Canvas Crossing took off and became a beast of its own.

I am beyond happy that the Minnesota Vikings are 4-0 right now! Please don't pinch me. If this is a dream, I don't want to wake up.

I went to McD's today hoping they would still be selling the Sanrio x YuGiOh toys but instead I received some weird Crocs (the shoe) keychains. My kids were happy, so I guess I can't complain.

I am happy to say that today was the first day I filed my sales and use tax for my business. It really hammers in how real the whole thing is when I have to pay taxes for selling my stickers / prints / totes. I am so scared I will make a mistake, but also incredibly proud to have made it this far. (Insert The Office gif of "It's happening!")

I miss reading your posts in this thread! One thing that always stood out to me is when you mention sightings of various animals, most notably Mortimer the bat. May I ask, is Mrs. Potter still appearing from time to time?

While I'm not 100% feeling better yet, it's definitely a huge improvement from yesterday!

• I spent another day at home trying to recover. At the same time, I also got to catch up on some more sleep!
• I played Gran Turismo 7. After holding it off for almost a year, I got around to complete and gold the last four master licence tests in the game! It took me approximately an hour to complete thanks to multiple tries, especially on the last one where I had to drive a 1988 McLaren MP4/4 around Suzuka Circuit. But it does feel satisfying when I pulled it off! There's one screenshot I want @Roxxy to see.

I've had this helmet design for well over a year now, but it never fails to make me smile whenever I see Blue from Blue's Clues on the back of my helmet because 1. She personally made the drawing of Blue for me and I recreated it in Inkscape so I can use it in the game and 2. I rarely get to see it during gameplay if at all because it would always get obstructed by the huge majority of the cars in this game. The McLaren MP4/4 is one of the few where I can see it while driving, giving me a nice treat.

Out of all cars shown in these licence test, the first two are the ones I saw in real life! Don't mind the Lamborghini Urus at the top of the screen LOL.

Spoiler: Extra ramblings for those who want to read

With the car and track combo for the final licence test, I was curious to know what the fastest qualifying time was for the 1988 Formula 1 Japanese Grand Prix. I checked the official Formula 1 website displaying the qualifying results. Ayrton Senna set the fastest time of 1:41.853 with the same car I used for the final licence test. The gold target time is 1:44.490. The time I set is 1:44.218. With that result, it would only be good enough for 10th place out of the 30 cars that qualified, so McLaren wouldn't be happy with my time for being over two seconds slower than Senna considering how OP the team's car is compared to the competition back then lol. I know it's a game and all not 100% simulating the real world, but it's interesting to see how close I can get to the real thing!

• I cooked Tuscan Salmon for dinner with my mother! The sauce ended up being too salty (don't worry guys, I used a separate spoon to taste test lol), but thankfully we ended up solving it by removing some of the sauce and adding some water to reduce the saltiness. It was a success!
• I really enjoyed talking to @/xSuperMario64x throughout the day, especially when we tried to teach each other words in another language (he taught me a few words in German while I taught him a few words in Tagalog hehehe).
• I played yet another session of Among Us with @/Xara, @/BetsySundrop, @/Dinosaur, @/Halloqueen, and @/Saylor that was organized by @/Dunquixote! During one round, it took us quite a while to get a crewmate win while the imposter didn't even kill anyone... Until the very end when someone shapeshifted as me, saw me, then panic killed BetsySundrop. Turns out it was Saylor the whole time who was the imposter! Thank goodness Xara backed me up, even though she started freaking out (so did I) when she saw two Shellzillas.
