- I completed my Seen Exam last night! I'm a bit over the word count so still need to edit, but I'm so relieved it's finished. Onto the next assignment,,

- Found out I got accepted onto a short internship I applied for with my university today, so happy about that! I'm excited to get some work experience and also to make a lil bit of money to hopefully go towards my trip to Austria in September

- My mum surprised me by getting me a slice of carrot cake from the supermarket bakery

- completed my project for one of my classes! classes end next week so i'm excited
- i'm officially on the residence waitlist! i haven't actually been accepted yet BUT STILL EXCITED!
- the mcdonald worker gave me 2 cookies instead of one small thing but still really nice after i ran around like a pyscho attempting to find the correct bus

- Got plenty of sleep and got up early.

- Went above and beyond at work today.

- Played some more Honkai: Star Rail.

- Had a nice roast for dinner with milk.

- Watched the newest Demon Slayer episode.

Today I'm happy because:

- I'm done with work for the day. I had to work late this evening, but I finished everything I had to get done.
- I saw lots of animals in my yard today: Olive the bunny, little Liam the groundhog, several squirrels chasing each other, and some birds including a bluejay.
- I saw some cute dogs and cats on our afternoon walk.
- My dog is sweet and adorable.
- My husband was also very sweet to me today.
- I had a nice, relaxing shower this evening.
- I have a massage therapy session tomorrow afternoon that I really need.

☾ I got to see some art of one of my faves that I hadn't seen before!
☾ Had a nice snuggle with my older kitty—she even touched noses with me and gave my nose a little nip ;v;
☾ I started reading volume 12 of Durarara!!
☾ Watched a little bit of Youtube with my family this evening over dinner!
☾ And I got to play some more Stardew Valley today! It's going pretty well and I'm starting to make some more friends amongst the townsfolk—I also adopted a new brown hen (her name is Henrietta!! ) and got everything I wanted from the Stardew Valley Fair!

I’m glad you’re having fun with it. I’m personally not a huge Zelda fan, but I was genuinely curious if the game would live up to the hype it was receiving. I recall a few people saying they hoped it wouldn’t be like Breath of the Wild 2, but I may be misremembering because as I’ve said, I’m not a huge fan of the series. Still, I’m happy to see people enjoying it.

I sure am! There are definitely some similarities, but I still feel like I was getting a new experience since the shrines are more fun to complete. I haven't touched Breath of the Wild since 2018, so it's a bit of a nostalgic trip revisiting some of the areas on the map.

Tears of the Kingdom really pulled me in, so I’ll just recap what had happened in the past few days even though not quite a lot has happened.

May 13, 2023 to May 16, 2023

• I watered the plants around the house, including the front yard and the backyard. For whatever reason, it puts my mind at ease giving them the water they need. Perhaps it may have something to do with helping them flourish and grow strong.

• Feel free to skip this point. I was driving on my way home once and spotted an Aston Martin DB11 passing through an intersection and also seeing its tail lights, confirming that my suspicions were correct. What is it with interesting cars always showing their faces at intersections lol. This happens to be the second Aston Martin in the entire car list I’ve been keeping track of (the other is the DB9 in case you’re curious)! On a separate day, I saw a Porsche 911 (930) again BUT, this particular one happened to have pop-up headlights which I didn’t know existed. Looking it up to know more, it’s nicknamed the slantnose! Quite a funny name if I do say so myself.

• I made some progress in my drawing in the past few days. Today, I got some colouring done!

• Obviously, I got to play some more The Legend of Zelda - Tears of the Kingdom and continued to enjoy the experience. More enemy variety (even though a good amount of them scare me lol) and shrines that really require me to think and get creative to solve puzzles is nice!

• Played Gran Turismo 7 after not doing so after a while and completed a couple of online time trial runs. One of them got knocked back down to silver thanks to someone setting a new record, so I had to go back and bump my time back into gold and successfully did so!

It was hard getting around the track since it would take over 8 minutes to complete a lap. It's very challenging to stay focused for that long without making too many mistakes, so I'm more than happy to settle for silver by a few seconds which I'm pleasantly surprised with.

• This is a silly point to some, but very recently I made a self discovery about myself and my mind has been feeling at ease ever since. I’m still the same me. The only difference is that I know a little more about myself now. It’s also helping with the fact that I’m currently having a tough time finding a job despite my efforts and constantly bringing myself down in the process, so my own self discovery is also giving me a bit of self love which I really need.

➣ I binged Blue Lock over the past three days, and to say I loved it would be an understatement. I’m so happy season two is confirmed. I’m glad that an anime has been able to hold my attention. I was starting to believe anime wasn’t my thing, but I may have been trying to get into the wrong genre. I think sports anime are more up my alley.
➣ I can cross something off a list of things I’ve been meaning to do before my vacation.
➣ I went to see my mom today and managed to snag a picture of her other cat.

❁Sunday I took all of the clothes I've been wanting to get rid of for 1 1/2 years and finally took them to a second-hand store. I was worried for so long about giving them to the right place, but I felt motivated on Sunday to just do it! I have more room in my apartment now and I felt proud to finally take care of it.
❁I had about 2 hours to wait while the clothes were being checked, so I walked around a bit and then went to a café I thought about going to before but had felt was a bit far away. The owner let me try a lot of samples before I decided on what coffee I wanted and I learned about the different types. The atmosphere was great, not too many people and they were playing lo-fi music. I got some good reading done in my book.
❁I did an iTalki lesson to get my JP resume checked and it's a lot stronger now. I was also able to come up with more ideas on my own after to make it better. Now I feel better about applying to the job I really want. Overall feeling more optimistic of my chances of getting a job I'm happy with that also times the timeframe I want for joining.
❁Weather has been great! Warm, but not the sticky summer weather yet
❁I was able to wake up at a good time each day this week and have been taking my ADHD meds. I feel like I'm getting more done at work thanks to it (helps a lot with motivation), and since I've been taking it more regularly I don't feel too much for negative side effects like anxiety. Work itself has not been to stressful either.
❁Got a surprise letter in the mail from my grandma!

- I have been extremely productive over the past 20 hours ngl

- Finished another one of my assignments last night by pulling an overnight marathon and completing it in 10 hours.

- Went to uni today for some stuff regarding my internship, and also did some work in the library, managed to complete and upload another assignment! I also did some edits on my other work.

- Overall it's been a surprisingly nice day, warm, dry, and all my trains were on time

EDIT: Forgot to mention I also booked accommodation for my trip to Austria last night, so glad to have done that too lol, I always book hotels as far in advance as possible in case prices rise

Today I'm happy because:

- I had a much calmer day at work. I didn't feel nearly as stressed.
- I was able to take a walk outside on my morning break.
- The weather was lovely and I kept my sunroof open whenever I was driving.
- I got to leave work early and had a good session with my massage therapist.
- The tension in my neck and shoulders feels like it's getting better.
- My dog was so sweet and loving when I got home.
- I really enjoyed my shower this evening.

➣ I made it to the DMV today to get a Real ID. I just have to wait for it in the mail.
➣ I was able to get my picture retaken. The lady said that I could keep my old picture, which is strange because I thought it had to be updated with each renewal, but I declined. I prefer this picture a lot more.
➣ I perfected my eyebrows now, and I’ve been able to draw them on effortlessly.
➣ I’m getting paid in just a few hours!!

- Today I got to see my mom. Had a really nice time with her.
- Went to group therapy and got to talk about a lot of my issues.
- GOT JING YUAN IN HONKAI: STAR RAIL!!! Only after E1 Bronya tho... -w- (thank you so much to @Midoriya !!! <3)
- Currently watching some Youtube vids with @Totally_RandomYT and I feel really happy getting to spend time with my friends.
- Added tons of sounds to the server Midoriya and I (and others) help manage for our VC channel xD I really like the ones I chose lol

Work was pretty busy today, but I'm glad I have people who care about me and I can depend on. Also glad that I got Jing Yuan in HSR, and I'm super excited for the NHL Western Conference Finals starting on Friday... only the Las Vegas Golden Knights, Carolina Hurricanes, and Florida Panthers stand between the Dallas Stars and the cup.

☾ At one point today both of my kitties crawled up onto my lap for a snuggle It was so cute!!
☾ Got to hang out with my mom and watch some stuff with her!
☾ And I played some more Stardew Valley! I'm becoming really happy with my house; I think it's starting to look pretty nice. ;w;

Meant to post this last night but I fell asleep, oops.

♡ Got to see my grandma and her kitties the past few days. We have names for them now, which are Grisoux and Minette! (French, obviously. I think the names are very cute.) They tried wet cat food for the first time, learned how to use the litter box, and are very playful. Minette also slept in my lap while purring today and it was so adorable.

♡ I've been really enjoying Zelda: TotK! I haven't been able to play it nearly as much as my dad and brother, but I don't mind. I've been doing okay with the progress, I've honestly just spent most of my time exploring and collecting things. (I did get to Zora's Domain yesterday and was more than happy to see Sidon, aha.)

♡ I finished writing a fic last night that was over 1.5k words. I stayed up pretty late writing it, but I usually don't end up finishing my drafts/ideas so I think it was worth it. I sent it to one of my friends and she said it was good. That same friend also sent me a fic she wrote recently, and I really enjoyed it!

♡ Forgot to mention this the day of (last Friday), but I filled in my form for my grade 11 option classes. If I learned anything from last year, being the first few people to hand in the form gives a pretty high chance of getting the desired courses. Hopefully I'll get the music and cooking classes!

Oh and I motivated myself to continue reading a really good fic, that was cool.

- Got a lot of lovely birthday messages on TBT today, thank you everyone

- Successfully submitted my 3000 word assessment for one of my university units today, so I'm happy it's complete

- Washed my hair and changed my bed sheets today, always feels refreshing

EDIT: Also happy and super grateful for my birthday gifts this year! My parents got me a tablet + case with a built in bluetooth keyboard <3 Really glad I got it set up and its working well. My sister got me socks and truffles

My grandparents also came for a visit, and I haven't seen them in a long time, so that was really nice

☾ I got caught up on a lot of things that needed doing! I fell behind while I was sick, but I've got most of my energy back now. Still got a couple things left on my to-do list, but I did more than I initially planned to today.
☾ I read a little more of volume 12 of Durarara!!

☾ And if you've seen my posts from the past few days you'll probably see this one coming, but I played more Stardew Valley ahaha!

- Even though it was a bit on the chilly side, the weather was still pretty nice.
- I was able to take walks outside on both my morning and afternoon breaks.
- Tomorrow is Friday. I really can't wait for the weekend.
