It's dry and sunny again!

Just had a relaxing day today, did some laundry and I made myself a vegan double cheeseburger for late lunch

- I got this wooden birdhouse from the craft store and it looks like a barn and it says "Cottontail Carrot Farm" on the front. Imma paint it in easter colours.

- My partner has been wearing their nicotine patches for over 3 weeks now and has been staying on track only having a few smokes a day. Soon he will start the next step of a lower dose nicotine patch so he's progressing well.

- i've really been on a roll for my classes lately. just yesterday and today, i've gotten 100% on some of my assignments!
- my college has received my application! i'll probably come back to this thread to celebrate if i receive good news but in the meantime.. we will play the waiting game (aka. applying for a crazy amount of scholarships)
- it's the weekend and i'm feeling tired.. i will probably sleep lots now.
- i got some coffee and donuts for my little sister and she seems really happy! i love doing random nice acts for my siblings sometimes.

THEY'VE SENT ME AN OFFER!! THE WAITING GAME IS OFFICALLY OVER! they actually sent the offer well over a week ago (march 31st to be exact, but i was too busy turnip mining to check my email.. you can really see that i have my priorities in check lmao). i've just accepted the offer! i'm so happy right now because this was my first (...and only) application to an institution! now i just need to apply for residence and then everything will be set!

ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ i had another decent, laidback day at school! my last period class was asynchronous today, so my extra long weekend started an hour and 15 mins early! i did receive a new assignment, but i was able to complete it quicker than i thought, which means i have the entire weekend to myself to just relax and focus on the tbt egg hunt + decorating contest! it’s been a while since i’ve been able to enjoy a weekend; looking forward to my 4 days off!

ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ speaking of the tbt egg hunt: it starts tomorrow!! :’D i’m so excited, i’ve literally been looking forward to this since last year’s ended LOL. the egg hunt is my fave tbt event, i can’t wait to see what new egg collectibles we get this year! i already know they’re gonna slay <3 i had sm fun helping people find eggs last year, i hope i’m able to do it again this year!

Today I'm happy because:

- I slept really well last night and got to sleep in this morning.
- It was the start of my 4 day weekend.
- I played some games, watched some shows, and relaxed at home.
- The weather was pretty nice most of the day with the exception of a thunderstorm in the late afternoon.
- I saw a squirrel in my front yard when I leaving to go get dinner.
- I spent some quality time with my husband and my dog.
- I got some laundry done.
- I still have 3 days off!

I have my very FIRST Dungeons and Dragons session tomorrow night, and I am so excited. My partner sat me down to teach me how to play in a oneshot and tomorrow if my first time playing with my entire friend group. I got to design and create my own character for it and I'm VERY happy about it

☾ After finishing up some errands I got to relax and play some Rune Factory 5! It's been a super busy week with a few ups and downs and I'm kiiind of exhausted ahaha, but I've finished both of my faves' fourth romance events now and I'm super happy about it!! ;w; Now to just get on the grind so I can make some nicely OP engagement rings on both of my files.
☾ I made another rubber band bracelet while watching some Youtube! My parents and I checked out Grian's first time playing Minecraft Legends—I think I might give this one a pass, but I've been curious about it, so it was still nice to see some proper gameplay.
☾ I found some really adorable fanart of one of my faves aaaaaa *incomphrensible happy noises*
☾ I'm looking forward to teaming up and hunting some eggs tomorrow! I can't wait to see what the new egg collectibles will look like too!

It felt like forever since I last posted in this thread! Quite some good things happened over the past week aside from yesterday. I'll try my best to remember them all. It's gonna be a lengthy one.

March 31, 2023 to April 4, 2023

• I bought a couple of Hotwheels again. This time, it features the Lotus Emira and the 1986 Toyota Van!

• I ate cinnamon buns with my mother and sister. They taste really good!
• The April Fools event that happened during the weekend was very interesting, chaotic, and funny. I loved how people were just playing along with the joke and making hilarious posts. I might've had to catch my breath a couple of times after laughing so hard lol.
• Feel free to skip this point. I was driving on the roads and I may have very well spotted a 1968 Pontiac GTO! Going off track for a bit, I'm a little conflicted about whether I should note this as a car that appears in the Gran Turismo series since the one from the game is the 1969 'The Judge' version. Actually, I'm gonna put it on the list anyway but not as a car that appeared in the series. Speaking of which, the Pontiac GTO I spotted marks the 185th car on my list! Wowza!
• I watched the 2023 Australian Grand Prix over the weekend. It was entertaining and pretty hectic too in the latter stages of the race.
• My father bought tickets to the cinema so I could watch The Super Mario Bros. Movie eventually with my mother and sister. It's unfortunate that he won't be able to come, though.
• Played Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
• Created some stuff on Inkscape.

April 6, 2023

• Strangely enough, I wasn't feeling half awake for the majority of the day. In fact, I felt a little energized too!
• The temperatures weren't that cold and only had to wear a sweater outside! Even got to see a bunch of doggos too while driving to places lol.
• Felt really good after completing some college stuff. That means there's less stuff to do as the end of the semester slowly approaches!
• My sister and I visited the mall for a little while to get a couple of things. We also visited Gamestop and I saw something that caught my eye... Actually, it's something that @/Merielle might want to know because it was my first time seeing it lol.

I saw Code: Realize Winter Miracles in the store and I immediately thought of Merielle since she always seems to have an aesthetic featuring these two haha. I am unsure of their names despite looking them up....

• I played Gran Turismo 7. I had the guilty pleasure of noticing my opponents aquaplaning in very wet conditions which easily handed me a win. They can never seem to react quickly to the pits once the rainy weather hits lol.
• I listened to a lot of good music mostly from Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. I should've mentioned that the tracks from GBA and DS are what really hit me the most because of the memories I have of playing Mario Kart from those respective systems. It's so hard to choose my absolute favourite, but I'm really liking DS Mario Circuit at the moment.

• I really had a great time chatting with @/xSuperMario64x on discord! Even got a few laughs during our conversations and made a silly drawing too. It's confusing out of context, but if you ever went through the blockchain threads during the April Fools event over the weekend, Bug basically joked around that the number 2 doesn't exist.

• I am simultaneously terrified and excited about the TBT egg hunt. Last year was really fun having the entire community solve clues. Let's just hope that we don't get another egg #6.

I know it's a long post, but my day has been pretty great for me. It's the long weekend too so there's more time for me to relax!

I’ve been pretty much walking all day today in the beautiful weather playing Pokemon Go

➣ I saw the new Super Mario movie last night with my favorite person. I got us milkshakes before it started. I wasn’t sure which kind she wanted so I just bought her the same one I got. Thankfully, she said it was delicious. She kept putting her milkshake in my cupholder in my seat tray but I didn’t mind at all. She just had to get in my space a bit when she wanted a sip, which again, I was more than okay with!
➣ Contains very minor spoiler(?) from the movie, but my favorite person kept leaning over halfway through the movie calling me “peaches.” We both thought it was hilarious when Bowser kept saying that.
➣ My dish partner who’s very autistic has been working with me every Friday during lent. He’s been such a great help and he’s sad he has to wait until busy times to work with me again. He’s not strong enough on his own yet so he only ever works with me. Word is that he’ll be back with me around Mother’s Day. I love working with him. I haven’t seen anyone that enthusiastic about wanting to help out.
➣ The restaurant that I’m working at is now serving orange cream milkshakes and banana splits! With my newfound love for pineapple, I’ll be happy to enjoy a banana split in its full glory.
➣ My favorite person literally grab pulled me in for a hug which I was not expecting. It wasn’t something she normally does so it caught me by surprise since I was a few feet away from her.
➣ I work at my second job which pays overtime tomorrow, and I have Sunday off to do as I please. I’ll likely spend it playing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and relaxing.

ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ 2023 tbt egg hunt is finally here!!!! the new egg collectibles are so glorious — i can’t stop staring at the baby chick, stardust and crescent moon eggs, but they really are all incredible! @/Laudine knocked them out of the park, like always. <3 i was able to find 3/4 eggs super quickly, and i was able to help a few people find eggs as well! i had a lot of fun helping people last year, i‘m so happy i’m able to do it again! ^-^

ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ helped my parents clean the house and do the dishes after dinner! i was admittedly feeling a little useless earlier, so getting to help out made me really happy.

☾ This weekend I'm dyeing some eggs with my mom for fun! We're trying out making natural dyes this year and we're leaving the eggs overnight, so I'm excited to see what they'll look like in the morning.
☾ My Easter present arrived early—another otome fanbook for my collection!! Also meant that I got to see some new/higher quality/fuller art of one of my comfort characters today, and that's always lovely. ;w;
☾ Watched a little Youtube! Grian's new Limited Life episode was a blast.
☾ The egg hunt has started and the new eggs are so gorgeous!! I've got my eyes on that Stardust Egg I'd love to earn a Crescent Moon or Glitched egg too, but I'll decide between them if I can earn enough currency for either on top of the Stardust one LOL

- I slept well last night and got to sleep in this morning.
- It was another relaxing day off work.
- I played some games and chilled with my husband and my dog.
- I had a chiropractor appointment and all went well.
- The TBT Easter Egg Hunt has begun! I've already found 3 eggs and 2 of those I got on my own. I'll work on the puzzle egg later.
- I found out my sister-in-law is bringing the kids in next week for spring break! I don't have any time off that week, but I'm sure we can visit with them in the evening at least once or twice.

What an absolutely amazing day for me! I'll save the best point for last.

April 7, 2023

• The weather was pleasant again with sunny skies. It's a little colder compared to yesterday, but I still had the windows rolled down while driving.
• Speaking of driving, I went on a small car stroll.
• Feel free to skip this point. I managed to spot a Mercedes-AMG GT R going through an intersection while I was stopped at a red light. And the car is green too! It's yet another one of those vehicles that appeared in Gran Turismo 7 and that's really rad hahaha.
• I did some laundry.
• I created quite a good amount of stuff on Inkscape!
• The TBT Egg Hunt has finally started! We still have a long way to go and I fear there will be a few eggs that will stump the entire community lol. To focus on the positives, I'm happy that I managed to solve the first solo clue by myself!
• I didn't play much of Gran Turismo 7 BUT, I finally finished the livery I started a few months ago on and off and I'm pretty happy with it. I wanted to put quite a fair amount of decals, but not too much that it'll look so busy.

Spoiler: Just a quick look

Yes, I made a Super Mario Bros. 3-themed livery on a 2009 Ferrari 458 Italia!

I'll spare you the details, but simply put, I recreated the sprites from that game and it's pretty awesome how it looks. I chose this Ferrari due to a few reasons:

1. Since Mario is Italian, I thought I'd go for an Italian car to fit those criteria.
2. It already came in yellow as a default colour. For those who don't know, the background colour for the game cartridge of Super Mario Bros. 3 is also yellow and it's perfect!
3. It's one of the first Ferrari cars I've driven in the Gran Turismo series. I was first exposed to it back then in 2012 along with a few others such as the Enzo Ferrari, California, and the 512 BB! In a way, I kinda make this connection how Super Mario Bros. 3 is not only the first Mario game I played but also the first video game I ever played in my life. Even after all this time, I still have that very same game cartridge with me.

On a side note, it feels good looking at my username in Super Mario style.

• Oooooooh boy, now this is the best part. I got to watch The Super Mario Bros. movie with my mother and sister and absolutely enjoyed it all the way through! I had a huge smile on my face and recognized some of the references and music. Speaking of music, some of it was made by Brian Tyler. Why did I bring up this fact? It's because he's the same guy that composed the Formula 1 Theme, so it makes the movie even better for me! Oh, and we saw a young child cosplaying as Mario and they look adorable. I don't want to blurt out too many specific details about the movie, so I'll put them in a spoiler instead. Plus, I got a couple of pics to share. And yes, @/xSuperMario64x watched it as well and we got to talk about it for a little while!

My favourite funny part is when this koopa troopa got turned into a dry bones by Bowser's fiery breath for saying something like, "but what if she says no?". Oh, and the Peaches song is hilarious too I love that haha.

At one point in the movie, Mario turned into a tanooki after getting the tanooki leaf. Now, that's pretty awesome since it originated from Super Mario Bros. 3, but to hear a part of the athletic theme from that game as well? This is gonna sound silly but it had me in tears and almost made me want to cry out loud, even if it only lasted for roughly five seconds.

-The egg events are always super fun and I look forward to them EVERY YEAR, they always bring a lot of people back to the site and they give me an excuse to chat and work with other members since I'm normally too shy and anxious to do that!
-I've happened to do really well finding eggs on my own this year which NEVER happened years prior!
-I'm very happy that the TBT staff gave me a second chance to participate after my MAJOR goof up that I had thank you guys! (don't copy and paste the cute egg pngs to your signatures hahah, the link comes with it..)
-I'm very happy with the 3d render I made this year for this egg holiday!

- Celebrated Easter with my family early today (because my mum is working all day tomorrow), we had a roast beef dinner and then apple strudel, which was all v nice!!

- I did a big 30 minute HIIT workout last night, was intense but I felt so good afterwards!

- Another nice sunny day

- Got in touch with my friend who I haven't spoken to in a while, glad to know she's doing okay

- approx a week now until I head to Japan
