What Are You Happy About Today?

We won in court. Our younger cousin was adopted into our family today. He has been permanently removed from his physically abusive father and all custody rights for him have been terminated.

Along with a separate restraining order, he has effectively been nullified from our lives. Today was the nail in the coffin.

There was a warm happiness over us today. It was the first time in a while we've been given a sense of unity and peace.

A few years ago this man had a powerful hold over us. We couldn't go anywhere without him stalking us or making us feel endangered. We effectively belonged to him. As of today, he no longer has anything over our family.

My mood is not very good but it is a bit better than it was earlier now that I got some sleep and took my medicine. I’m sure it’ll get at least little better since my day is just kinda starting .

Earlier I pulled Acheron in HSR! I’m having a lot of fun using her. I’m working on Gallagher too whom I got for free in one of the recent events in the game and I’m enjoying using him as well; just a little disappointed he can’t get rid of a debuff like Lynx.

I caught Jewels splooting this morning which I haven’t seen her do that much lately . My babies make everything so much better; I love them so much.

Tomorrow the character that I’ve been waiting for since I started playing Genshin will be having his rerun banner; I’m so excited!

My boyfriend got Animal Crossing New Leaf just so me and him could play before servers shut down. He knows how bad I’ve wanted us to play together, so we played for a while! He learned how to hack just so he could get me the items I really wanted he literally sat there for over an hour and figured it all out just for me. He took a lot of screenshots AND THEYRE SO PRETTY I LOVE THEM

This is the only relationship I’ve ever been in where I’ve actually felt loved. So many of my past ones have made me miserable and just straight up sad. I’m so lucky to have my boyfriend and I just wanted to talk about how happy I am to have him

- Got up early and was productive at work, moreso than usual.

- Was able to get out of work early and I'm all caught up on all the events in both Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail now!

- Fed my kitties their special food, which made them happy.

- I'm loving the throwback April Fool's event on TBT. This site never disappoints!

- The Texas Rangers defeated the Tampa Bay Rays 9-3 to improve to 3-1 on the season.

- I cooked a small turkey for my partner and I yesterday for Easter

- I've been enjoying the stardew valley update

- My partner had a week off from school so we spent it cleaning up our place. We cleaned out some closets and sorted through random old stuff

- the neighbour's cat Mr Orange Juice sat in my lap which was very special cause he is extra spicy. I'm pretty sure he's only nice to me

☾ I actually got to play Cozy Grove for the first time in... a while lmao unfortunately I probably won’t have time to play tomorrow, but it was nice getting to make some progress at least!

☾ My parents and I watched Grian and GeminiTay’s Real Life SMP videos for April Fool’s and oh my gosh they were so much fun. Definitely gonna have to watch everyone else’s when we get the chance!

☾ Speaking of April Fool’s, I’ve had such a blast with this year’s!! sadly I won’t be around for much of it tomorrow, but I’m probably going to start using stamps and pixel dividers on my profile for real afterwards anyway lol

i was a little disappointed earlier this evening because i reeally wanted to get a dreamy egg from this event, but i couldn't spend enough time on the egg hunt this weekend to figure out enough clues to get eggs i wasn't expecting to get one of the clues first but i'm so happy now because that lil bonus gives me exactly enough eggs if i do the egg decorating to be able to buy the dreamy egg after all

also @duckvely got me some sakuras from the restock today while i was at work, you the best

on another note, my professor gave us a homework pass to use on our discussion board or journal for this week so that relieves some stress!!

got a package that i've been (impatiently) waiting for (for a week), my dad picked up boba on his way home, and i spent some time on a quick shopping trip with my sister owo

I have had a really nice week last week so wanted to post here so I can look back on it when I'm down​

I painted my nails to resemble Easter eggs and especially the patterned egg nail makes me smile every time I look at it, it's an instant mood boost. Next year I might make some dreamy egg nails!

Drove to Prague to visit my in-laws and had so much fun with my family! It was a proper family trip with my parents and my husband - the first time all of us went somewhere together and we had so many good laughs. It's a memory I'll cherish, because my parents tend to fight constantly so it was lovely we all just got along for once.

In Prague I found a water bottle brand that is my username xD made my day! It's sitting on my desk now and makes me grin stupidly whenever I see it.

Before the Prague trip I finally finished my thesis and submitted it. It was such a laborious project, I'm glad it's over!

Easter itself was quite chill, just my partner and I giving each other a small silly gift and in the afternoon tea with parents. Usually Easter is a big deal in my family which requires tons of cooking and prepping, but we were all exhausted from our trip and decided to just not do anything this year. While it felt really strange that Sunday was just another Sunday (for the first time in my life no Easter celebration) it was weirdly refreshing too!

whilst the past week has probably been one of the worst of my life, my kitty has had 2 shots to help treat his FIP (the day we found out his diagnosis my partner drove to pick up emergency vials). We still have a long way to go but he seems so much more himself today; more alert, eating more, more active. I can’t tell you how relieved we are to see that the meds are working. I also want to thank all of my lovely friends on here for the well wishes during this awful time whilst I hope nobody ever has to deal with FIP in their kitties, if you ever do: the Facebook groups (FIP cats global/FIP warriors) have been a godsend for us. Totally restored my faith in humanity.

- Successfully booked the Anne Frank House museum tickets for my birthday and managed to get the remaining 2 left for the timeslot I wanted

- Also had a weirdly pleasant time booking a travel vaccination consultation through my doctors surgery haha

- Just happy to have 2 days off!

☆ I had a really nice Easter this year and was able to get together with our small family. It was really nice and we all had a wonderful time!

☆ I have been really playing my 3DS a ton more recently as I am on Spring Break the whole week. I am just really enjoying ACNL, Mario Party: Star Rush, and the Style Savvy games!

☆ My grades are really good! The semester will be over in a few weeks and I have been working hard as always! Hopefully I can get them up a bit more ✔

☆ Started origami again! Its been a minute and I really enjoy folding the paper and making some super cute characters!

☆ I called my PoPo (Chinese grandma) and we get to visit her tomorrow and eat Sushi with her! She loves it when we bring her sushi from the grocery store haha

Overall I have just been doing great recently! I have been working so hard in all my classes and am thankful for my grades. I hope that I can continue enjoying the week off and that all of you are doing super good!

- I just got home from a long and stressful trip so I can relax now.
- The weather has been really cool and calming today.
- One of my favorite manga series, Shimeji Simulation, is getting an anime adaptation

- Got up early and was productive at work. Finished something I was working on.

- Had some coffee for the first time in awhile and it was just right, and it's been sunny outside today!

- Played some video games on my break.

- Looking forward to the Rangers @ Rays and Mavs @ Warriors games tonight.

- Headed to the gym soon to do some more personal training.
