What Are You Happy About Today?

My grandparents dog got picked back up from here today. Hopefully, it will be a month or two or so until he has to come over again l, since my grandparents aren’t able to travel for the time being.

I know some of you have dogs, which does give me some camaraderie, but I much prefer not having them in my living space.

messed up my (already messed up) sleep sched during the weekend that i eventually... fixed my sleep sched? i used to sleep at 2 AM, then last Saturday my boyfriend had a marathon and i helped him prepare. i ended up really tired afterwards and it actually made me sleep early in the night. been keeping a good sleep sched from 10 PM to 6 AM since then lol, and it helped me a lot with my review since I could now more consistently study between 7 AM to 7 PM.

speaking of review, since i kinda fixed my sleep sched, i've clocked in 9.5 hrs of lecture yesterday and 9 hrs today feeling really good and really productive, and also i can play for a few hours before bed. bought stardew valley on mobile and ive been loving it so far! i can finally play while lying down c: controls are a little janky and some of the mods are bugged but it's not too terrible for me ^^ i chose meadowlands farm and its been super nice for me so far because i started with 2 cute chickens! ;v;

Visited my nephew today and then went to hobby craft, mum treated me to a sketch book and my beginner’s guide to fantasy drawing book arrived today ^u^

I feel pretty good day thankfully. I also feel somewhat productive today too which is great because I have a few things that need done. My day is still young, so I don't have a ton to write here, but these two things are wonderful. seriously.

My day is still starting but I have a few things to post about right now:

I’m happy I slept a little better today; I thought Jewels was finally good but it turns out one of my nieces was here and for some reason she likes shutting my door. Jewels got locked out of my room in the process . I’m also happy my dad had work today; his voice woke me up earlier because he can’t hear.

Last night I took a nap with Jewels snuggling and sleeping under the blankets with me; she was making cute little snoring sounds as she always does lol.

Spanky snuggled with me a little today . Now both my girls are sleeping in my room; Spanky is in her bee tent and Jewels is on my bed .”

I tried Sigewinne a little in Genshin even though she isn’t fully leveled yet and I had a lot of fun using her. I had been under the impression prior to getting her that she wasn’t good at all, but from what I’m reading and seeing, she is good just limited in comparison to other units. I think she is really fun regardless. I have other characters that I’ll be working on more first, but I’m really looking forward to building her too. I think her attacks are cute; I think it is funny she throws a big giant pill capsule lol. All her voice lines are adorable too. I’m really glad I got her .

- my cat Finnick got a check up at the vet and he's doing really good. He's a senior kitty and he takes thyroid meds so he's gotta get checked every 3 months

- me and my mom went to her card making group today and they were going through all the cupboards of supplies (like card stock paper and stickers) and told us to take what we wanted. We ended up with some new card based, some thick paper and stickers. The stickers are rainy day themed and super cute

Happy today because I got up early and was productive for work, and despite it being cold again the sun came out today. Only a couple more weeks to go until spring, my favorite season, is back. I've also been having a lot of fun with the Wuthering Waves fishing event. I'm REALLY close to 100%'ing it, and it's honestly been super therapeutic as an event. I played with my kitty for a bit as well and she's always fun to play with. Martial arts class for tonight was cancelled, so I may do some strength training at home instead. Hope everyone's been having a good week so far!

My federal tax refund came in tonight and I ordered a bunch of painting supplies and I had a good therapy session today, and I found out my regular therapist is back (she was out for like 6 weeks) she's back and I can start seeing her again in March. I was seeing one of the back up therapists temporarily until she came back

I'm really enjoying painting with water colors!

Anyway, yeah doing well!

-My father came home from the hospital today, glad he's back but he's just hurting bad from the fall yesterday. At least he gets to rest now.
-Got to help out by taking my mother to do some grocery shopping. We also stopped by an arts & crafts store on our way and I got myself new sketch books/marker pads so here's hoping these are a lot better than the crappy ones from amazon!
-My brother came over with his dogs so I got to say hi to them. Then my other brother came over and showed us his NEW dog. He's 9 week old collie with beautiful, tri-color fur. He's also very friendly and playful!
-Finished my day-off playing some Smash.
-I have off again tomorrow =D

☾ I’m feeling a little better today I think! Still sick and very sleepy (I slept eleven hours straight last night at least I didn’t need to take any naps during the day) but I’m a little less sniffly!

☾ Watched some more Youtube videos, including another episode of LDShadowLady’s Empires S1 series!

☾ Voted in the ArtFight theme poll for this year!! Personally hoping for Fossil vs. Crystal, Glimmer vs. Gloom, or Artic vs. Tropic to win, but there's a number of good ones!

☾ Some new official art featuring two of my comfort characters dropped eeeee ;w;

☾ It snowed today!! I spent a good part of the day watching the snow fall out the window and playing Pokémon Omega Ruby. I beat Winona and caught a Meditite for my main team, who I’m training up a little bit before I continue on in Lilycove!

Today was mostly uneventful, but I heard my partner got their chest binder today and I'm so proud of them! <3

Also, my new glasses are ready to be picked up! I dropped and scratched my old one on accident months ago and I remember how shocked and anxious I felt. ;w; Actually, I have to go get them tomorrow because my mom is tired and she works at night, but I can't wait because I picked the frames and UV lenses (or whatever you call them) in my favorite color: purple!

Happy today because I got to play ACNH with a friend last night and it was SO much fun! Can't remember the last time I had fun playing that game with someone. I also slept in a bit today and have been productive at work, and looking forward to playing some Smash Ultimate later. Even though it's cold outside, the sun is out again as well. Yesterday marked one year that I've been working in local government!

My partner joined me in celebrating with a takeaway and a glass of wine.

Got invited to interview for a Masters I could do completely remote around work.

Powered through an intense workload today despite being in so much pain I needed to use my cane. Every deadline met on time. And an engineer I've been trying to get to come out since April 2024 finally showed up today!

I'm home alone tonight and planning to get some heat on the achy areas and relax. One more day of work and then the weekend!

my eeg appointment finally came today, and my doctor was such a chill cool guy that the time of the test honestly flew by. he was talking to me about final fantasy and had some calming and lovely themes from different games playing in the background, OOT kakariko village brought back such nostalgia and felt so soothing to hear. im very happy that that's another test done and out of the way, looking forward to getting results soon! it was honestly really chill but the sticky residue from the electrodes was all in my hair, on my face and chest that i looked like a hot mess and i didn't realize till i entered the washroom and saw my reflection, made me chuckle was a little bit of a struggle to wash out but i hope its all gone! feeling really happy right now :-)
