What Are You Happy About Today?

Really late post but I'm happy that:

• I got Molly and Apple first try via autoslot filling of the first three villagers on my second island. (will redo her house interior once I've got everything unlocked in HHP.
• Frita finally moved in to Camembert! (tysm @Dunquixote ! for the villager adoption! )
• I get to unlock multiple things in my second island especially the terraforming feature!

I'm processing some difficult things today, but it's made me focus on how very happy I am to have my husband. He is my rock. His love and support is always unwavering and I feel so lucky to have him in my life. I love him so much!

Yesterday, I got a call from one of the things I applied for. A little unsure if I wanna work there, but I'm going to call her again to understand the role more. Its like a receptionist at a gym thing.

I also went out (mainly to buy eggs) in my local area and gave out two of my CVs and one digitally to a local book shop. He was even looking for staff but couldn't really afford them yet but I didn't mind helping out voluntary. I'll check back with them after work this morning to make sure my email went through okay.

Also yesterday got an important call regarding things with ny old shop so just need to organise my evidence.

Today when I got into work, I found a lil bee stuck in my shop! I'm unsure he was able to fly so I helped him go outside in te back. But then realised it was probably not a safe area. Out of the front of the shop there are these wooden barries with flowers in that stop people going into a certain road so I picked him back and put him there. Gave him a lil sugar cube as a treat. Hope he's okay poor lil thing. Will check on him after work as I pass by the flower barrier thing I put him in.

Today was not the best but there were a couple things that made me happy :

I beat the last gym that I needed to finish and then I beat the Elite Four in Pokemon Violet. It was a lot easier than the Elite Four were in the games that I’ve played before; also, I thought it was interesting there was no Victory Road dungeon (I was a little happy about that in a way because I just want to unlock the higher tera raids asap and start farming for the herbs). I also beat the remaining Star crews that I had left.

I was having trouble finding the outposts in Area Zero but I figured out where to go in the end, thanks to @Mimi Cheems who shared a link to a guide that helped get me back on track and was able to finish that part of the story . I caught a couple paradox pokemon! I really enjoyed the story.

I unlocked the 5 star tera raids

Update on the lil' bee:

After work, I went to check on the bee. He was still there, and hasn't moved much or taken much interest in the sugar cube.
But before I left work, I got some honey and put it into a lil pot.

The lil' bee was super interested in it!
I helped hold the pot steady, turning it on its side, so he could get to the honey. And ommmg he was SO cute! His cute lil tongue!! I've never seen them drink before, and was so awed and still am.

Still there but hasn't moved much.

Best bit? He flew away afterwards!! I was super worried he couldn't fly, yet he did! Maybe the honey helped him. He seemed so lifeless before.

- My niece was born healthy yesterday!

- Had a call about an admin job I applied to, which is always better than being ghosted lol

- Just chilled out today, had a grilled (airfried) cheese sandwich with some tomato and basil soup

- The weather has actually been perfect today, a big improvement from the past couple of weeks

☾ I've been looking further into something for a long-term goal of mine. I thought something was going to be a hindrance to me, but it turns out there's a workaround. This just shows that no matter how impossible something may seem in the moment, a bit of research can prove otherwise.
☾ I was hired yesterday for a retail job! I applied for cashier but was hired for backroom/stock. Stocking is a little less pressure since you aren't dealing with customers, and to be fair, that's probably a better fit for me. As much as I love cashiering, customers can be a little rude and it's a difficult for me to deal with them at times.
☾ In relation, I'm pretty sure I was hired mostly based on my energy. The compliment made me smile. During the callback, the hiring manager said she loved my energy and I was radiating good vibes! I'm too extroverted for my own good, lmao. It bites me in the butt sometimes because I end up saying too much, and... Yeah.
☾ I woke up early, so I used the extra time to vacuum the living room. Admittedly, I've been slacking on the tidiness since we are moving soon, but it looks much better now. As for apartments, there's no update yet. My dad is looking for one bedrooms - I treat the living room as my own room. I'm a self-proclaimed minimalist and don't need the extra space a bedroom provides. I should know more about what's going on with this by the end of the month.

Wednesday 19/06

I had an amazingly productive day at work. It was so busy, with some requisitions coming in with a 45-minute turnaround, but I pulled it off. Always feels good to hear comments like, "Chris, you're a star!" when I complete a task with a tight turnaround when I know it's something that other people would immediately turn down for being too short notice. Senior management tells me to reject these requests but... if I can do it then why not?

I also managed to score our school a free oscilloscope! Our physics teacher is very excited. However, we can't use it until the annual PAT test over the summer so I now have to guard it from him!

My girlfriend is treating me to Chinese takeout. Waiting on my aromatic duck arriving right now.

We're going to see Inside Out 2 at 9pm! And it's Germany vs Hungary tonight so hopefully the cinema will be super quiet.

• I got a job! It’s for a hardware/home improvement store as a member of the fulfillment team part time. I feel like it’s gonna be a lot better for me than cashiering in retail stores was for me that was a nightmare. I had the interview yesterday and got hired immediately pending the drug test and that went through so I got the offer letter today and background check started today

- I finished Paper Mario TTYD. I had no idea what to expect going into this game but I really enjoyed it. Some parts were easy but it still kept my interest through out the whole game

- I bought Super Mario Wonder yesterday. It seemed like fun when I watched people play it during the streams for the last forum event

- my moms new speech therapy starts tomorrow. Luckily it's at home this time so she doesn't have to travel

- my partner is officially on summer break from college. They also got their bike fixed so now they can bike around the city again. We also started giving our place a deep clean. We started cleaning behind the washer and dryer & we cleaned out the drier vent cause we're super paranoid about laundry fires lol. Ain't no laundry fire gonna happen on my watch (hopefully)

Had a good day today playing Pokémon Scarlet and Violet with my mom. She and I are helping each other with the 2nd part DLC, catching Pokémon for the dex and rounding up the currency to unlock the last few Pokémon we need to finish. It's actually very fun rounding up BB points together with someone else. Much faster too!

☾ Started working on some more prep for Artfight!! I’m happy with the progress I was already able to make too ;v;

☾ Watched another episode of ZombieCleo’s current Hermitcraft series with my parents, and also finally got to see Dollightful’s newest doll custom, Chi Chi!! She’s super beautiful and I love how she turned out!!

☾ It’s been getting hotter out and biting flies have been harassing us even super early in the morning, so my mom got Ring Fit Adventure set up on her Switch, and we both started playing tonight!! I made the mistake of going for “Moderate” to start with. help. ;u; I mean I know I can lower the difficulty but I’m too proud to actually do that

I had the day off work so I was able to sleep in. I got to bed at a reasonable time last night (by my standards) and actually woke up on my own this morning. It's been a few years at least since that's happened and it felt so good to not be pulled out of a deep sleep.

The day was pretty uneventful. We just stayed home and chilled, which was all I wanted to do. It was nice.

I got to sleep in and play some Honkai: Star Rail, and the Texas Rangers defeated the New York Mets 5-3. Yippee!

A bit off lately, but yesterday I got to spend the afternoon with my partner, which was really nice. I appreciate them so much I'm also grateful to be on break and have time to work on both the things I want to do, and need to do but have been putting off because of uni.
I also finished my diversity entry today! Not very proud of it at all, but I'm happy I was able to participate. So many of the entries are gorgeous, we have so many talented people on here, and it's lovely to read through the stories/explanations as always

Today was kinda difficult again for me, but there were a couple things that made me happy .

I got a couple of paradox shinies in Pokemon Violet.

I was trying for a shiny Iron Fists the day before when I found the shiny Iron Thorns.

I found this one earlier today! I hyper trained it, maxed its stats, changed it to adamant and leveled it up to 100 .

I found shiny Iron Bundle just now! I’m really happy about finding it since one of the hacked pokemon I got from a surprise trade was a shiny Iron Bundle. I got rid of it right away and hoped I’d find one on my own.

I received my Galarian Ponyta in Pokemon Home from @Chibi.Hoshi and @Vhoop (thank you so much again for the help ) . I had no idea that we could trade through that app! I also got a non-shiny galarian ponyta from a random person .

I also got some mystery gifts for linking it to my switch and nintendo account .

- My shift today actually starts much later than I expected, so I basically have the entire morning free

- I have a job interview next week! It's for a full-time receptionist job in a place I can easily get to by bus, so I'd be making more money, not have to be on my feet all day, and paying the same amount for transport. Only issue is that I realised I'll be on holiday the time the job is supposed to start
