I made this more complicated that it needed to be because I can't just draw unless I have a stylus, and need to have some sort of concept or guide to follow, so I actually made some pixel art in Procreate first. I decided to draw Celeste holding/embracing a star fragment. ^^

I had to eyeball all the colours which was a pain to do, and the end result ended up changing from the concept more than I anticipated, but I think it turned out pretty okay? Admittedly I'm not terribly confident in it, but I figured I'd share anyways since I was struggling for a while with my entry, and thought maybe sharing my process could be useful to others.

Though it's a design more meant for my alternative, female character Mary (as it's her insignia of sorts, plus appears on her dress), here's my entry! Seems simpler designs work well for fireworks.
