Today I was plot resetting Lionel, but for some reason I thought I'd messed up, because for 5 times in a row, he was in the EXACT SAME SPOT! But nooooo, as soon ad I load up my actual character, he moves RIGHT WHERE I WAS GOING TO PUT THE CAFE!!! I'm so effing pissed off with it!!! Urghhhh!

I think that yu should just be able to ask them like they say 'Hey, I'm moving in here, where do you think I should put my home?' Like srsly. 5 damn times. It's ridiculous! Now I need to move him out :( And he's a dreamie!

That happened to me about 15 times after turn 5 they moved to a bad spot so I reset and for next 5 turns same original spot.... finally after about 20 tries I got Poppy to a good spot. I thought for sure I did something wrong.

Yes, or that :) that be better actually. But imagine the horror of having Jambette walk up to you and be like "HEY! Imma move here! Tell me where!" and you can do nothing but to show her a Place for her house D:

You main Lucina on ssb4? we should tootaly platy some time as I also main her :D (on the WiiU)

No, I don't. I want to but I can't afford the game. :( Also when I get it, it would be for the 3Ds, because I don't have a wii u.

I feel like choosing where villager plots are going to be, making villagers set as permanent residents or not so they won't move, and grass wear... those are all things I have the feeling Nintendo's not going to change, as much as we want them to.

After spending the entire day yesterday trying to get a villager in the correct spot (in my second town; I'm not as big on plot resetting in my first town, but my second has a theme, and I need certain villagers in certain spots)...
...welp, I wound up settling with a spot which was on the boarder of the area I wanted the villager in, because I didn't want to be up all night or have to TT back a day and start the process all over just for the chance of Apple putting her plot where I wanted it.

I had the same problem, though; she put her plot down in the same spot twice in a row. Then, after that, put it there again. Each time she put her plot down, it was pretty much everywhere except for the area I wanted her house in. So, when I saw her plot on the boarder of the zone, I just went with it because I was THIS close to just resetting the game completely and doing that One Year Challenge to not have to deal with plot resetting. The only thing that stopped me was that a couple villagers had been adopted, and I would have felt bad resetting right then and there.

I have the same problem :c I'm considering just getting a second copy so I can have 2 towns, because I don't want to restart this one because I've adopted a lot of dreamie already... But then I don't think I could keep up with 2 towns! I can barely afford my house loan etc. on this town on it's own and I suck at landscaping, so I'll probably end up with 2 terrible looking towns xD

Agreeing with this. The game won't feel 'real' if they made it so that we can determine where villagers plot their houses. To be honest, it kinda feels too controlling when I see people get mad at villagers for not plotting their house in the right spot. I don't blame them cause that's how they're programmed. It kinda looks like people are getting mad at their neighbor for moving next to them.

Though I do understand the frustration of having the power to decorate your town and determine the placement, but then making villagers plot move-in random. If the mayor feature comes back in the next game, I hope they have something to make up for this. Maybe have a PWP for residential area where villagers who move in can place their plot (kinda like an empty land for people to buy and build houses on IRL), or have the signboard that indicates where villagers can move in like in WW.

I don't mind where they plot, it's just that it was in the one place where I actual wanted to put something. In the entire town, that was the only place I didn't want them to go. So where did he go? Exactly were a I didn't want him to.

And oath2order and the rest, don't just say 'don't be so picky' or whatever. It's my game and I can do what I want, maybe you should get your attitude adjusted, because there was no need whatsoever for you to come on my thread and be rude.

It's just advice.
