Has anyone ever wondered what animal IS Dr. Shrunk?

Seriously, I never knew what animal Dr. Shrunk was until I searched google lol. Turns out he's an Axolotl.

axolotls are some of my favourite creatures, if not my very first!! it's unfortunate that pretty much the ONLY video game axolotl i've encountered is so ugly. :| (that is, other than pokemon and such inspired by them and also scribblenauts. neither really count that much.)

albino axolotls are described as leucistic
