Has anyone ever wondered what animal IS Dr. Shrunk?

When I was younger I used to think he was a salamander. I kinda figured it out on my own what he really was when I learned about the axolotl. I saw an axolotl in a pet store not too long ago and the first thing I thought of was Shrunk

it's pretty funny that they made him this rare weird animal! photos of the animal are cuter than Dr Shrunk though haha? poor Dr Shrunk, he's pretty ugly. But it's appropriate to his character.

I've always known what he was, what's surprising to me is how many people don't know what axolotls are.
Right?? I even had one as a pet. His name was Nubs. I loved him. <3 I wish they weren't so rare, but thankfully they can be bred in captivity so there's that. :3
