My vision is -4.50 and -4.25. Without glasses I can't see more than a meter away... I usually wear contacts though.

No, I don't have glasses and I don't need them. Although all generation in my family have them since they were 6 or so, I still have 100% clear sight so I'm happy with that. If I would need to have them one day I would probably go with lenses though

no. i feel like if i had my eyes checked, i would end up with a pair, but i honestly see well enough without them, so i'm fine. i used to occasionally wear non-prescription ones for fashion reasons.

but seriously (if it isn't obvious enough, the above video isn't me being serious in the slightest), I haven't had to wear any

I got glasses in the 4th grade and switched to contacts in the 7th. I just got glasses again a few months ago so I could use them both but I still haven't worn my glasses enough to get through that "everything is weird looking and I'm dizzy" phase. I definitely like contacts more.

Also I cannot stand people who wish they had glasses? Lol. Take my horrible vision and give me your not awful eyes.

Trust me, it's like braces. The pain that comes with it is terrible. ;;

Umm... I really don't understand that statement. Getting and wearing glasses is pain free. Braces actually hurt.

Anyway, I wear glasses, but I only need them for distance. I mostly wear them for driving, but if I'm going to a sports game or concert or movie theater I tend to wear them too. I tried contacts once but I literally could not figure out how to get it in my eye and the lady at the eye doctor's office was useless in helping me figure it out. I gave up and just use glasses. I didn't need glasses until I was maybe 20.

I have glasses, but I don't wear them all the time. I'm nearsighted, so I just wear my glasses at school whenever I need to see the board and faraway things.

I wear glasses, but theyre kind of broken crooked since I sleep with them alot ;c so i plan to get new ones :D
Take them to the place you got them and have them adjusted. It's free and most places.

You just poke it on your eye. It suctions on. If you have an air bubble move your eye toward it until it smooths out. Any tiny air bubbles can be blinked out after.

It takes much longer at first. But after a while you don't need a mirror and it takes seconds.

I've had glasses since I was in second or third grade :p My current glasses I got them last year and they are pretty comfortable and cute ^^ but I plan to get new ones soon, maybe in a year or so :3

I love how many people voted yes. I damaged my vision when I was 16-17 by playing an app on my iPod Touch for extended hours in a pitch black room on a bright little screen. I've never done anything that stupid since.

Should of specified painful in more of a struggle and bother than physical pain.
So for glasses it would be having to adjust them, constantly worrying about not breaking them when playing sports, basically blind when taking them off, having to wipe them when raining etc.
And braces didn't hurt 24/7 for me. It was mostly when I had to get them tightened, but I would be fine after a day or two.
So I mean braces would be similar as in always getting food stuck in them, taking forever to floss and things like that.
