one of my favourite things to do at sleepovers when i was younger was to make puppet shows for my friends/family 🥺 here is me performing a story about a sheep who wins a very important contest, there is no hidden agenda to this story at all and it's not a subliminal message

(there's a lot of sunflower seeds on the floor bc my little fluff refused to watch the show without a lot of snacks....)

its the end of august.. the perfect time to put on a spooky costume and carve a pumpkin with socially distanced plush friends ! this is usually around the time where i get excited for halloween (even tho noone in my country celebrates it rip)

(tokage gave up and is starting to eat the pumpkin instead)

I almost was too late but here's mine! A game that's almost too accurate for the current world situation. Featuring Moomin, Ferret, Moonkin, and nondescript asian boy

Most sleepovers that I've been to involved playing outside in the backyard most of time time, either playing with a ball, shooting NERF guns, or playing tag. Here I've portrayed us playing with a ball. When I was little we often imitated Power Rangers while playing so I've depicted one figure jumping in the air while the other awaits the ball. Another is standing to the side taking a selfie while the often present younger sibling stands to the side clutching his toy. I've also had a "dad" figure sitting in the back keeping score.

This makes me miss my friends 🥺 our most recent sleepovers my friends and I would have, we'd get together and do yoga. Of course there was wine involved, but we'd also share our new favorite shakes, recipes, and actives we'd do with our pets to keep them active.

Create a villager self-care box!

Thanks to you all, over a hundred villagers are happily skipping away with their newly delivered care packages. You're all the best, considerate friends they could ever ask for, and I'm sure they'll never leave your islands after this! One basket in particular stood out...

I chose to make a care package for Ribbot, the robot frog! Because he's a robot, he requires.. different items to get better. Inside this basket is:

- Can of WD-40
- Measuring Tape
- Keychain Measuring Tape
- 12 inch ruler
- Scissors
- Super glue
- Duct tape
- Wrenches
- Assortment of screwdrivers and a screwdriver set
- Assortment of hex keys
- Handheld drill + assorted drillbits
- Hammer
- Steel wool
- Pencil torch
- Cloth & Kleenex (for cleaning up oil spills)
- Terminator Salvation, in case ya boy wants to watch something while conducting repairs
- Robot Visions by Isaac Asimov.. something to read while "resting"
- Container of juicy AA batteries, as a snack
A perfect assortment of items for a robot's self-care! These are all the tools he needs for repairs and to give himself a pampering. The gifts and basket certainly complement his home decor, and most items can be reused for a lifetime. I'm sure he'll really appreciate that! The entertainment and snacks will certainly give Ribbot an awesome time while he's stuck at home as well. What a thoughtful basket, @Millysaurusrexjr !

Stage an activity in action among friends!

So many interesting and fun activities to choose from! We will never run out of things to do at our sleepover. But I do wish we could spend more time with this one...

Our sleepovers are always chalk-full of fun!

Ever since I was a little girl, drawing with chalk is something my friends and I always did during sleepovers before it got too dark outside :)

This time, Mushu, Chonky Cat, Eevee, my cat, and I got together to draw some fun! In this picture: Eevee is in the middle of trying to figure out how to play hopscotch with 4 legs, Mushu is perfecting his self-portrait, Chonky Cat is trying to match the theme of the fair by drawing a sheep, I'm in line for hopscotch giving a thumbs up for the photo, and my cat drew a pawprint (in reality she rolled in the art and got bribed with snacks to stay in the picture). We're going to have a wonderful party! 🥳

Playing with chalk sure brings back memories! It is a versatile activity. You could doodle, write fun messages, play a number of games like hopscotch, tic-tac-toe, hangman, etc! Of course, paper and pen could do the same thing, but it's nice to have the world as your canvas. The set up here is absolutely adorable. It certainly brings a nostalgic feeling, and I'd love to mess around with chalk if I could. Lovely choice, @JellyLu !

Begins: September 6 at 7 PM FT
Deadline: September 9 at 6:59 PM FT

Does the cloud in the banner remind you of anything? 🐇 Let's see what you can find. Take a photo of a cloud that looks like... that thing!

Requirements:
  • Do not submit photos for this prompt until September 6, 7 PM Fair Time (EDT). Task is available early to give everyone a chance to go out to catch some sun at their convenience. Early submissions will be removed.
  • The cloud must be recognizable, and can be anything. A number, an animal, a specific person's face, etc, except basic shapes (circle, square, rhombus, etc) or things that clouds look like anyway (cotton candy).
  • Caption your photo with what the cloud is supposed to be. If it's difficult to visualize, you'll need to provide a version with an outline.

FAQ

1. Does the cloud have to be shaped like a rabbit?
No.

2. Do we need our name card for the cloud prompt?
Yes.

3. What if I took a picture of the cloud without the name card, and when I returned the cloud lost its shape?
If the name card is taken in the exact same place and around the same time it should be fine. If you're uncertain you can PM me the images to confirm.

4. What if where I live there are no clouds at all due to the wildfires and smoke?
An alternative prompt may be available for these cases. However, you would need to provide proof, and those using the alternate prompt would not be eligible for staff favorite.
