The villager I've chosen is Julian. He is Avalar's resident "horse" and well, it is the year of the horse, of course!
Let's face it, 2025 was a rough year, and 2026 is gearing up to put last year to shame. I've put together a care package of just some small essentials he'll need to make it though the coming year.
Whirlpool bath with built-in jets for a powerful, targeted massage. To ease the stress built up in his muscles.
Rubber ducky, he's the one who makes bath-time lots of fun! Emotional support and companionship.
Margarita pizza, a high carb comfort food, to provide both sustenance and emotional satisfaction.
Cold sleep pod, sensory deprivation. To get away from it all when things get bad.
Rocket ship, to get even further away from it all when things get REALLY bad.
I’ve chosen Cherry for my entry - heading into 2026 with her rockin' passion for music, she is ready to show off her skills as a musician!
Her electric guitar is what she'll spend most of her time on! Messing around with her raw tones, keeping her skills tooth-sharp, and working on new tracks.
The metronome helps her stay on beat. It’s useful when she’s recording multiple parts or getting ready to play live (...or I could give her a cup of ramen.)
The mic stand makes recording vocals easier and comes in handy when she’s practicing, or performing. Let her howl!
The gaming desk is where she has a bone to pick, a.k.a. basically where everything comes together. She records, edits, and mixes!
The PA speaker lets her hear how things actually sound out loud. It's sick at live performances, and the volume rocks!
ruby's ringing in 2026 as one lucky rabbit since the year of the horse will be a really good year for her (ᵕᴗ ᵕ⁎)
- a hong bao with money inside for extra blessings and fortune for the new year
- some mooncakes to share with her family since they symbolize family reunion
- a telescope because she loves space and could use it to look at the stars
- headphones for her to listen and study up on astrology
- some strapped books for her to journal her new finds or research details
Peewee is already pretty great but he's also a humble guy and always on a journey of continuous self-improvement. To set him up for success in 2026 I've provided the following items:
- World Map: for plotting his global takeover, gaining new fans from all over the world.
- Barbell: for growing muscle obviously.
- Stack of books: for growing the mind muscle! These books are all borrowed from the library because supporting your local library in 2026 is a great goal for everyone.
- Open-frame kitchen: Peewee is hoping to level up his cooking skills this year and maybe teach me some new recipes.
- Hanging clothing rack: 2026 is going to be a year of experimenting with personal style and trying out some new looks.
All submissions up to this point have been accepted! I've really enjoyed seeing how many villagers have gotten provisions, as well as all the different items and reasons behind choosing them!
Just as a reminder, you have just 46 hours left (until January 11, 2026 at 11:59 PM EST) to get your entries in, so if you've been waiting until the last minute to do it, now's the time to get your entry done and submitted!
Lucky is my favorite villager and these are my picks to make 2026 an amazing year for him:
1. Pyramid. His homes in previous games were more or less Egyptian themed and I have a feeling that he misses those ancient rooms and furniture.
2. Pile of cardboard boxes full of snacks!!!
3. Golden dung beetle. It's shiny so it's much cooler than other bug figures.
4. Artisanal bug cage for Lucky’s bug friends to enjoy themselves.
5. And of course a Lucky black cat for good luck. Lucky needs it a lot!
Shino is taking herself on an evening picnic in the park, and she’s bringing:
~an array of novels (mostly romance)
~some incense with her favorite scent
~a lantern, to illuminate once the sun sets
~her comfiest cushion to sit on
&
~a picnic basket full of snacks, for when she gets hungry
I chose Fang since he's one of my favourite villagers. I chose the items based off my interpretation of his character!. :>
1. Cartoonist's set- In my lore Fang has an artistic side but he doesn't dedicate as much time to it as he'd like! he definitely draws when he can and having something like this would encourage him to draw more.
2. Modeling clay- Fang also likes to sculpt, though this is even more rare than him drawing. It's a hobby that's slipped away from him so giving him some new clay to sculpt with would be great for his creative outlet.
3. Pine Bonsai tree- Fang loves plants and will never say no to adding some to his collection! I imagine bonsai trees are something he'd really like.
4. Stack of books- As a writer and author himself, Fang naturally reads a lot of books. Adding more to his collection certainly won't hurt!
5. Nintendo Switch- Gaming is something he'd do to unwind alongside his art, so a Nintendo Switch would be perfect because of it's portability and versatility.
I chose Punchy as he's one of my favourite villagers!
1. A new, bigger bed! For him to lounge in the coming year
2. A Nintendo Switch to lounge around and play games in
3. A bin- maybe if he had somewhere to put the rubbish he could sort his insect infestation
4. A new fridge, larger than the one he currently has in his home, to store all the snacks he likes!
5. A guitar. I feel like this year he could try to work on a new skill. I also play guitar, so maybe we could play together sometime!
My chosen villager is Molly. I chose her because she is the most like me, we both love reading, cosy home time and swimming
My chosen items are:
Tea set - so she may always have warm drinks to keep her cosy
Fireplace - so she may always have warmth, especially through this cold winter
Plants - so she may always have life and growth around her
Sofa - so she may always be comfortable
Books - so she may always have her favourite form of entertainment and knowledge to guide her!
I chose Cyd. He’s grown to be one of my favourites on my island and of the new villagers introduced in New Horizons he’s often forgotten among some of the more popular additions.
1. Personalized Drum Set: Cyd loves playing a small basic drum I have set outside on my island so I wanted him to have a proper set this year decked out in his likeness of course.
2. Electric Guitar: Since he’s only really been playing around with drums on my island so far I figured he would like to try and learn to play a new instrument as well. The Electric guitar is a classic.
3. Amp: With these new instruments an amp is a must to amplify his music to the next level.
4. K.K. Rock: Something I figured me might like to listen to in his downtime at home. He typically plays K.K. Metal so I figured K.K. Rock would be something he’d still like but a little easier to listen to when relaxing.
5. Bubble Machine: Something fun for him to run while he performs for the other villagers on my island. Who doesn’t love bubbles?
Lately Marshal has been getting into antiques, so these will be sure to make his 2026 awesome:
1. Antique vanity: So Marshal can maintain his impeccable style with... style. This antique vanity is a must.
2. Phonograph: Nothing more hipst... I mean stylish and antique than listening to music on a phonograph. This is a must for Marshal in 2026.
3. Valiant Statue: So Marshal can appreciate the beauty of antique art at home. It's an allegory for how Marshal is ready to take off this year.
4. Serving cart: This very much vintage serving cart is required so that Marshal can serve his meals with style.
5. Stovetop espresso maker: Not exactly an antique item, but lately Marshal has been experimenting with different styles of coffee, but he hasn't tried the (superior) "moka" yet. This year Marshal shall reach "coffee enlightenment".
This is my submission! I wanted to give Wade a good start in this new year because Im blessed to have had him on my island with me for nearly six years now. He’s been with me since day one and Im giving him a strong start to the new year by gifting him:
- A new comfy bed, cause we need to know when to rest and relax in this long year.
- A ukulele so that he could pick up a new hobby in 2026.
- A Dharma for some goodluck in his next adventures. And he can wish on it too.
- A Papa Panda for when he needs a big hug.
- A Nintendo Switch so he can play the new ACNH update! (Too meta?)
You'd be surprised to know that one of my favorite villagers (After all these years) is still Cashmere, and believe me, I'm shocked too. But I chose her because I know well that she wants to be a Chef in the future, so I gave her some items that will help out.
1: A Cutting Board so she has some fruits and veggies to well, cut for food prepping.
2: Cooking Tools as every chef needs one.
3: A Stand Mixer to create some goods that require it.
4: A compact kitchen. It's the main thing here for Cashmere to start cooking something good.
5: Pot Rack where she can store her cooking utensils.
Surely what I gave her will let her be a great chef!
Tabby is one of my starters and the first time I saw her I wasn't sure ...Well I thought she was peculiar ...but she turned out to be very sweet and fun to be with. She's cute too. Tabby has a lot of hobbies and likes music, fashion and manga so I'm giving her:
1. A DJ's turntable to drop the beat even at 3 am, anyway most of our residents are night owls and need to spend a bit of energy.
2. A Record box with her favorites rock and pop albums, to create the best remixes!
3. An Inflatable sofa to relax after that impromptu rave and read some manga. I chose a colorful one because not everything should be black and gray
4. A Stack of manga with her favorite titles, a bit of magical girls and shounen
5. A Hanger rack with limited editions of her favorite designers.
I may be too busy for ACNH moving into 2026, so I'm temporarily packing up one of my original islanders and taking him with me to pocket camp! Raymond seems so excited to abandon civilization!
- headphones - to block out the noise on his long trip
- camera - so that he may take photos of the grass he has been missing so much
- cushions - he is a bit high maintenance, so these are to remind him of home
- luggage - used to house the few personal belongings that can fit into his new tent/home
- a plane ticket - to get to his destination ofc
The villager I chose is Judy! This might be more my interpretation of her on my island but isnt that just the joys of the game, making your own headcanons of the characters
Her items:
1- Cute new dress : gotta start off the new year with a new look!
2- Nail art kit : Judy is definitely a vanity type of person and would probably love to maintain her nails, I think she could have fun trying some new colours maybe to match her new clothes
3- Sewing machine : I’d like to imagine Judy would be interested in sewing, to be able to make and alter different kinds of clothes. Shes definitely a huge fashion lover in my head.
4- Sewing supplies bin : An adorable container to hold all the things needed to get into sewing! Useful and also gotta love the cute flower design
5- A fashion magazine : Gotta get that inspiration from somewhere! Definitely styles for her to be inspired by to create outfits or ideas of things she can try out making herself!
Whitney is my favorite character, but Hamphrey is a close second! He's like the grumpy dad character on my island and I'm never getting rid of him. Here's what I chose to give him:
1) A goal pole so that he can always have a reminder to follow his dreams. I believe he can achieve anything he sets his mind too and I want him to always strive for the finish line!
2) A 1-up mushroom so that he can live forever a long healthy life.
3) A barbecue because I've had one outside of his house since he moved in. I feel like he can't be without it. May he have lots of cookouts in 2026 (and I hope I'm invited to them all).
4) A RC helicopter because they're really fun! I want him to enjoy 2026. Plus, it serves as a reminder to always have time for his hobbies, maybe even travel.
5) A lucky gold cat, for luck of course! May he have good fortune in 2026.
I’ve chosen Peanut for this because unfortunately I would like her to leave my island. However, I wish her well which is why I’m giving her these 5 items to help her on her way
Rover’s suitcase - she’ll need something to carry her belongings in.
Cruiser Bike - to get to her new destination. Would’ve given her a car but she doesn’t have a licence unfortunately.
Snack - she’ll need some food to keep her going whilst travelling.
Katana - for self defence in case she ends up in a rough neighbourhood.
SLR camera - so she can take pictures to send back to me!
