Announcement: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition & Free Update

You know I just realized. The Switch 2 version of New Horizon will be the only physical complete version of the game. So if for some reason the download is ever lost or Nintendo stops supporting it years later this will be the only version with everything. Otherwise you'd have a 2020 pre-launch New Horizon without holidays, art, diving, and so forth.

I remember always bringing this up through the years and now they finally released the 'complete' version. Unless they add more. In which case, it won't be.
Everything except Happy Home Paradise right? I apologize if I missed out on some discussion, but I thought I read that. It's pretty cool you pointed that out though... I may have to purchase it so I can show it to my great-great-great-great grand kitties someday 😆

Okay, so something that has been bothering me since re-watching the trailer is the severe lack of the return of online mini-games. Hear me out, and I don't want to sound like a negative Nancy or a pessimist, but here is what is troubling me.

This is baffling to me with Nintendo's messaging. They claim to be "improving" the online play, but their focus is solely on upgrading so that 12 players can play on your island, and yet they don't mention the return on online mini-games.

Moreover, why didn't they show any improvements to online play? You mean to tell me that they are still using that stupid, outdated system where, when someone is coming to your island, you have to stop what you're doing to see them arriving? With 12 players, that is like a nightmare. It takes around 3 minutes for a player to arrive on your island, and when you multiply that by 12, it would take a whopping 36 minutes for every single player to visit your island. You'd better hope and pray one of them doesn't lose their internet connection because that would be a disaster.

They are only doing this because they are focusing more on the Slumber Island concept for the dream island, but we don't know how it will work. Can you host your slumber island and then have a dream address for your friends to join in? How long would it take for them to join in? All these questions, and we still know very little. They have really replaced online mini-games with this Slumber Island sandbox. I am not sure if this is a good thing from now on or a bad thing.

Those are valid questions. I don't think anyone has the answers yet

Out of curiosity, are we having to move things around for the hotel? Because I like the way my island is. It helps with my adhd and not being overwhelmed with things having to move and rearrange everything

Well, you probably should move things that are on the Dock because, from the trailer, it looks like the Dock is extended and more upgraded. I am not sure if the items on the Dock will either disappear permanently or be sent to the recycle bin at Resident Services. So it's probably best to clean up the Dock area when the update comes.

To answer you question i think its only the Hotel rooms that you have to move around stuff inside when desiging the rooms. Not the Hotel itself, although I am curious if we can customize the exterior of the Hotel.
