A Nintendo Switch 2 Edition and Version 3.0 Free Update have been announced!

Wow I was not expecting this, and on my birthday no less!

(Well it makes sense that AC would get an update too but it wasn’t on my mind)

They’re adding quite a bit of free content, I’m interested in trying out the hotel and seeing all of the new furniture.

Although seeing Kapp’n’s family did get my hopes up for minigames, I’m still excited for what we are getting

I can’t believe it, omg it looks so good! They really made it sound like the switch 2 version was gonna get proper online stuff, but I don’t have and can’t afford a switch 2 anyway.
I’m so excited for the slumber islands!!?

I definitely wasn't expecting this today, but I'm super excited! I need all of the Splatoon items, and the Lego and Zelda items look great too. Hotel seems interesting, nice to see Kapp'n's family again. And finally bulk crafting! Slumber islands will be fun to play around with. I need to watch the trailer again

Decorating just got easier and it took 5 years. Now, I might redo my island again...maybe.

I just saw this announcement. Thanks for posting the video. Will watch it later. I wasn’t expecting an update to NH. So happy to see it. Excited to see what will be in it. I was thinking about making a new island on my switch two. Now I have to start thinking of island ideas and character names.

I do really like the multiplayer decorating and terra forming, i feel like that unlocks a lot of possibilities. People could get really creative with parcours now etc. And creating their own minigames

this was very unexpected! especially after three years after no content updates. this seriously made my day and now i have a reason to bring my switch out of dormancy.
