Pokémon What do you do while shiny hunting?

I'm trying to fulfill some of my major shiny goals (Vaporeon, Garbodor, and Emboar, to name a few) and I wanna know what to do to not get bored out of my mind. What do you do to stay entertained while looking for shinies?

I usually watch Youtube. If you play Civilization or any other strategy game like that, it's a good game to play while shiny hunting.

I usually watch YouTube or multitask with homework. Might as well do something productive while hunting

If it's an easy hunt I'll open my 2nd 3DS and hatch the eggs on the island. Remove the eggs and replace them with more. I've hatched shiny pokemon while hunting at the same time.
Also do soft reset on the other 3DS for Poipole. I need one more to complete the evolution.

Since I've posted this thread, I've gotten way more into shiny hunting, and something I've found I like to do is actually watch videos of people reacting to getting shinies, haha. It keeps my morale up!
