Feel free to use this thread for all things Splatoon. General thoughts, questions, artwork, funny/awesome video clips, accomplishments etc. this is the place to share them.

To start things off I’ve been a fan of the series since the beginning. I really liked the aesthetic and music shown in the original teaser trailer but upon realizing it was a shooter I lost interest. When the free testfire started on the Wii U however I decided to give the game a shot anyways and needless to say I loved it! Day one buy upon release. I’ve kept up with it in 2 and now in 3.

Here’s my Octoling in 3 currently (cropped out the shoes cause this picture isn’t all that recent). I’ll be sure to update this later with better pictures.

Splatoon is super unique series for sure, it took what shooters aren't generally about (being colorful) while having a strangely deep lore about the setting itself.

My first Splatoon game is Splatoon 2 for sure since I didn't have the Wii U and I got the Switch back in 2017. I remember seeing the trailers for Splatoon 2 and getting excited in trying it out. When Splatoon 2 is released, I instantly got hooked.

Really love the art style and the general feel of the game.

I’ve been using random weapons lately (until I get them to 1 star) in order to unlock more. I really like this method compared to past games as I was always so broke when they cost money. It also gives you more of a reason to try out new weapons you might not have tried otherwise. I still have about 30 more weapons to go so it’ll take a while.

While doing that I finished off Wandercrust and made a silly outfit with the final reward:

Honestly, I'm not really interested in the whole multiplayer side of the game. I just like the characters, music, and lore.

I’ve been taking a break from Splat 3 for quite a while now, I really need to get back in. My ranks are probably down in the dumpsters, and oh yeah, splatfest. I’ve recently been just consistently losing and getting bored with the game.

(The Shellendorf Marina line always gets me LOL humans did exist, their bones are there, therefore they were real marina, it's science.)

Headgear: Fresh Fishskull (2) and Hockey Helmet (3)
Clothes: Samurai Jacket (2) and Matcha Down Jacket (3)
Shoes: Wasabi Tabi (3) and White Arrowmaki 720s (i think) (2)
Species: Inkling (2) Octoling (3)
I numbered them so you know which game has which main.

I think it's possibly a reference to a Miiverse post someone made during the first game which was "I wish squids were real".

I’ve been taking a break from Splat 3 for quite a while now, I really need to get back in. My ranks are probably down in the dumpsters, and oh yeah, splatfest. I’ve recently been just consistently losing and getting bored with the game.

If it makes you feel any better my ranks are rock bottom lol. The highest they were was B I think (whatever having Splatoon 2 save data gave you). If I didn’t get anxiety from the rank going up and down I’d probably play the ranked modes more and enjoy them. Ah well.

Seeing a lot of people upset about the splatfest. Specifically on team Family being bad in general. I was team Family and I had a lot of fun. It’s not all about winning in my opinion.

With this Eggstra Work event being put in the only good Splatoon 2 SR map that returned, I figured I'd reach out. Maybe form a team 'round, here. I'm not much of a people's person, but I do want to take part in this. If anyone's up for it, here's my SW code: 1565-6573-5700

^I'll join! I havent done much Splat3 or SR in awhile, this'll be a nice refresher! Switch code is 2006-7788-4210. My profile uses my IRL name (didn't get much of a choice when setting up), so just ignore that.

I’m really happy with my improvement in Salmon Run lately. I’ve only ever gotten bronze in Eggstra Work before but I believe I’ve likely gotten a solid silver score (182) so far this time. Been going in a group of three and taking a gamble with a random person for a blaster player.

Going to attempt to break 200 if possible by the end of the event but if I can’t I’m still really happy with that considering my best score in the event before was something like 140 tops.

I ended up with Silver at the end of Eggstra Work with a top score of 207. Even though I really wanted that gold (only 11 eggs shy) I’m still really pleased with the result. Finally breaking 200 was my main goal. Not only did I finally earn silver but was fairly high within silver as it started at a score of 172.

I've not touched Splatoon at all, and have only gotten the second game recently, just no time to play. I am super intruged. I do want to try and get Splatoon 3.
I've never been great at shooter games, but this does look interesting!

Yes there is a lot of customization especially when it comes to headgear, clothing and shoes.

If it helps I’m dismal at most shooters and don’t enjoy them. Splatoon however is so unique I can’t help but love it. Sure I don’t play the more hardcore competitive modes but there’s still plenty of fun in the more casual gameplay of Turfwar mode.

I've not seen any gameplay, but it definitely sounds like a lot of fun~! Is there much difference to the second and third game?

I've been playing Splatoon 2 for a bit, and it;s a lot of fun so far!
I'm still not the best at range, but I've been getting better. Can't wait to get my splatoon 3 and try that too.
