Games Too Difficult for You to Beat?

pokemon diamond & pearl
this legit took me 14 years to beat, i played both games and restarted 9 times but i never beat cynthia til last week
i heard soul silver was even more difficult, so i didn't wanna get it but that one was well easy, cynthia is the real challenge not miltank

link's awakening (switch)
i got this awhile ago and the gameplay's not difficult however i can't figure out where i gotta go or what i'm supposed to do
they don't explain it anywhere and i'm literally stuck 😅
botw was wayyy easier than this and that was a 12
got 100% on botw but i still couldn't get through a kids game lol

pokemon ranger shadows of almia
not gonna lie, i have a complete version of this game but only because my brother did it
i couln't get past the school at the beginning 😂

Not gonna lie I struggle with most RPGs games, but one that stood out in particular was final fantasy XV - while I enjoyed the gameplay (battle mechanics is nice and Noctis has some pretty BA moves with the royal arms) I didn't quite enjoy the story, and I think the open-world map with hundreds of side quests turns out to be more overwhelming than I initially thought. In the end, i was so exhausted doing the side quests that I just lost interest to even beat the main story quest ( story spoiler of plot and ending of the game through youtube also didn't help lol)

Aside from RPGs, mario games in general in terms of 100% completion lol. I feel like once i strive for 100% completion it just took all the relaxing/fun aspect out of the them

I'm not really that good at games to be honest, especially platformers. I have been working through ori and the blind forest recently (though I'm taking a bit of a break from it right now), which is difficult but definitely doable for me, just involves a lot of time and deaths. I definitely won't ever be able to 100% it though since there's an achievement for beating the entire game without dying, which I will absolutely never be able to do.

I totally forgot about super expert levels on Mario Maker. Some of the real crazy ones I just need to try once and I'll know this is way out of my league. Not even gonna bother. lol

I love games but I’m bad at a lot of them 😭 like strategy turn-based like Banner Saga, platformers (ones these days are so hard), rogue-like, I like everything about Hades but I’m so bad at it so I rarely play it, and I gave-up pretty quickly on NieR >_>

I tried beating Valkyria Chronicles (a war strategy game) way back in 2017 and I got stuck on one of the first levels.... I haven't picked it up since

I can beat most games I've played but 100%ing them is a different story. I actually recently 100% completed Super Mario 64 about 8-9 years after starting the save file 😆
I'm still unable to 100% SMG2 cause the mission "The Perfect Run" is basically impossible for me to beat. I haven't tried it in a while, might be able to do it now. But back when I tried it I went in with 100 lives and came out four hours later with 0 lives and I still hadn't beat it. I gave up after that lol.
I also haven't 100%ed Odyssey though that game just has a ton of hidden moons and those purple coin things that you collect so it's understandable.
another game I haven't 100%ed yet is Spyro 3, some of the missions on that game are really difficult (like the mission where you have to race Hunter on a skateboard in Lost Fleet, it's damn near impossible lol). I did somehow manage to 100% Spyro 2 though.

and as for games I've never actually beaten, both Paper Mario games I've played remain. I was never able to beat Bowser in PM64 and I never completed the final world and bossfight in Super Paper Mario. I actually don't know why I didn't beat the latter. I'll have to replay the game sometime, it's been years.

Hollow Knight, I really need to pick it back up, I got stuck on the final fight with Grimm and the Hive is also tricky, I'm sure I can beat it, I just need to try again.
Also, Enter the Gungeon. I've made it to the Dragun once but didn't manage to beat him (I think I was hunter?)

There's 4 series that come immediately to mind that i have never finished a single game in the entire series:

Zelda (I love them, grew up on them, but for whatever reason I just never finished any of them)

Souls (Dark/Demon: my God these games are HARD! I did finish Bloodborne, which technically isn't part of the series)

Final Fantasy (I start out playing and loving them, but I seem to just lose interest around halfway in...)

Kingdom Hearts (i have no explanation)

I find Sonic Rush and Sonic Unleashed difficult to beat.
Sonic Rush... Love that game. Came back to it about 2 years ago and completed it. For me... What was it... Oh, Gravity Rush had the same case with Sonic Rush- oh wait I was talking about a game I cant beat- uh.... UH..... I haven't beaten The World Ends With You yet..

Zelda (I love them, grew up on them, but for whatever reason I just never finished any of them)
finally someone who does the same thing as me, i always get to near the final boss and just stop lol, dont know why it happened

i honestly can't think of a game that i couldn't beat if i tried to, but i guess any RTS would be most likely, don't like those games at all

I saw this thread pop up and was immediately transported back to being younger and renting out Paper Mario TTYD from my game store. I could never beat it in the amount of time we could afford to keep renting it 😅 eventually our library got it and I got to the final boss and STILL couldn't beat that beep beep. And then it was stolen from the library. And so I still think about beating it even though it ain't gonna happen without a remake 😔

Nice PFP of Noctis and Ignis, ngl.

There were never any games I couldn't beat due to difficulty, but there's been plenty of games I got bored of playing or got distracted by other games and never ended up finishing. Some notable ones are Paper Mario and Chrono Trigger. I very much want to go back and replay these games but I don't really have the energy to do that right now so it'll have to wait for another day.

The game I have never beaten is Mario hoops 3 on 3s story mode with the final fantasy characters. I think their difficulty is to high and unfair. I can never seem to beat them no matter how hard I try.😔

I can't beat PPT's story mode fully (all ten acts). I got the main 7 done with Ecolo's fight and the final 2 fights being the only hurdles. The one that is the furthest along is Act 9, A Primp Dream (Schezo's Act), which is at Amitie's fight.

Most 2D Sonic games. I've been stuck in Sonic Rush and Sonic Mania for a while. I also remember finding the later stages of the Sonic Advance games to be hard too. I just suck at these types of games lol.

I agree with you on the Sonic Advance games. I'm trying to beat all the stages with all characters in Advance 1, and I see Sonic being my hardest character. Amy is, in my opinion, the easiest one for the latter stages, especially Casino Paradise and Icicle Mountain (i think that's what that's called).
