I personally prefer onion rings, but fries will always have a special place in my heart!
 
Onion rings, or even better, sweet potato fries :D Nothing against a good ol potato fry but <priorities

Also recently went to Five Guys for the first time when my partner was visiting, and damn, those fries! I do like onion rings too, but they're not very popular here and I think I've only had them a few times. Here the crisp / chip (ones in the packets you buy individually, not with actual onions in them) are way more common and popular.

It depends what I'm eating them with. I think they each go better with different meals. I would rarely eat either of them all on their own, but I would probably be more inclined to eat onion rings as a solo dish
 
Honestly both. It depends on who/how each is made. Some fries are really good but others are meh. I’ve also noticed that onion rings with the right kind of seasoning are so good. Plain ones are typically too bland and boring.
 
With fries, you can do so much with them. Onion rings are an every once and a while type of thing.
 
I don’t know what kracko is. I like both onion rings and fries though. I had to go with onion rings. As for fries, I love crispy and crunchy ones.
 
Fries. There's just so much more you can do with them imo. I'm Canadian and we have POUTINEEEEE so fries are preferable. Onion rings can be amazing though, if they're fresh and breaded correctly. In Canada we have a fast food place called A&W (I'm not sure if it's a national chain or international) and they make fantastic onion rings. Thanks, I suddenly want some.
 
Fries for life. Onion rings don’t cook the onion enough for me.
 
For me it really depends on the day. Some days I may feel like having onion rings more than fries or vice versa.
 
onion rings are delicious
and i love funyuns

but it's gotta be fries. fries are the best <3 crunchy, soft, crispy, curly, waffle, steak, crinkle cut, wedges- there's just so many ways to fry potatoes & they're all awesome
