What is the most bugs you caught in one round?

14 has been my highest so far, with 8 my lowest but only competed a few times so far. Seems you mostly just have to get lucky with spawns.

12 since I have a tree problem on my island at the moment. Basically half of my map is so swamped with trees you can barely walk in there. Anything that spawns in those forsaken lands is not worth it.

I keep telling myself I'll sort the trees out but oops 3 months in and they're still there.​

I think 10 but I'd kind of average 6-7 mostly.
I kind of realized today that my Island is not the best to navigate when you're trying to catch a lot of bugs in a short amount of time.
Also, is it just me or does it seem like they purposely decrease spawn rates for events?

Top was 15! Average was 11-13, thanks to my haphazard hybrid garden(s) for helping spawn butterflies.

My island is literally full of furniture, I could hardly find any at times. Most I've gotten was 12 or so

Was in a group the whole time - the most we managed was 18 altogether. Not many I guess but we were having fun!

I got lucky and had several butterflies fluttering around at some point.
I'm terrible at spotting mantis though or not scaring tree/stump bugs...

The most I've ever caught in a single round was 21, but after that I think I cursed my own character. I always get less than 6 bugs now if only Katrina was in the game and would get rid of my curse I would be happy lol. Anyways that day for me is my luckiest day lol.

Really? My highest was 9, with many rounds around 3-4. I played multiplayer with my boyfriend and we averaged 6-10 bugs COMBINED per round. Are you guys playing in massive flat flower fields or something? My island is covered in flowers and I regularly went over 60 seconds without seeing a single bug anywhere.

Most I've gotten was 16. I was just lucky to have 3 common butterflies flying next to each other next to the plaza that gave me a really good headstart.

My catch average is 10-12. There are rounds that I've only gotten 8. Obtained 100 points average in an hour.

Highest was 12 or 13, my average is around 7-9, 10 if I'm lucky. I got rid of a lot of my hybrids last week. Should've waited till after today.
