Had a really fun day today :^) met up with one of my siblings and hung out in town for a few hours and had a great chat. Got a book as a birthday present (didn't see them on the day so they gave it to me today) and a tin of cadburys roses. We went into a local bookshop and I bought a really nice notebook - the art on it is of Japanese lacquer from the 17th/18th century. Got a steampunk book to try out since I've never read the genre from a charity shop for €1. While out in town, I bumped into a few friends from school and we spoke for a little which was a cool coincidence (me and my siblings literally walked out of a shop and into my friends). Then when we got back from, we played Crüe ball on the old sega megadrive we just dug out, and watched how to train your dragon afterwards. All in all, it was a really enjoyable day
I may have said this before, but it always makes me happy!
I dont have to wake up to an alarm clock tomorrow!

My dad and I got this gorgeous tenon saw. It's one of those Spear and Jackson ones with the light light wood handle. We used to only have this old Stanley tenon saw, and it was good way back when, but it's quite dull and rusted now, so the new one is a delight to use lol. It cuts so well, and the metal mirrors the wood very well so straight cuts are noticeably easier. Changed a woodwork from school from September into a shelf for the chisels too, so that's really cool
Also chose a topic/experiment for my chemistry course, so hopefully I'll be able to use it and actually get work done on that. It's an experiment to do with pondweed (?) and it's on the biology course so I think I'm allowed to use it since it's not from the chemistry course

My cat Sunny came back in last night! So happy he didn't spend all night outside
My parents partly financed a PS5 for me because my mental health has been so bad the past week (still is tbh). 
It arrived today, I haven't had a PlayStation since my sister gave me her PS2 as a handmedown. The change in joysticks compared to the Switch will take some getting used to. I was surprised to see it also has entertainment apps though I shouldn't have been. I look forward to test my DVDs as well, my one blu-ray should work at least right? I'm very happy to pivot more into a physical collection overall, playing on the TV forces my mind to slow down as well.
My first game is Horizon Zero Dawn which they gave away for free like 7 years ago for whatever reason, I made sure to collect it because I always dreamed of a owning a current gen PlayStation even back then, my copy of Uncharted Legacy Collection should arrive in the next couple of days. I mostly look forward to playing GTA 6 whenever that comes out. I still remember being in awe of the GTA 5 trailer.
Overall though I'm just so thankful for how generous my parents are. Losing my job has been really rough for me. I wish I could express my happiness and gratitiude more, but I can only pay it back when things get better. I'm very happy to have my parents even if I have nothing else. Also happy for games being an escape. Let's hope 2026 will be better for everybody.

Grateful I'm actually kind of looking forward to my birthday! Due to some irl stuff, I've been progressively dreading my birthday more the past few years, but my partner convinced me to put my foot down with a couple of things and I'm going to the pool with a few friends! Grateful for the people in my life.

I went through my first driving lesson hour and it went well! Of course I'm still scared and anxious about the future lessons but phew, at least this is done, I've met my instructor, familiarised myself with the car I'll be learning with, and made the first step of going to that first hour!

I went through my photos today! Havent done so in a while, and it was quite refreshing.
Still got a lot to go, but better than nothing. So can easily see which ones out the ones I like, can be used for portfolio.
Before that, I felt really out of it, and my mind blanked on what to actually do today.

- The Tomodachi Life Direct was SO GOOD! ^_^
I was really worried that we wouldn't get same-sex relationships (since I have OCs in same-sex relationships) or a romance system in general, so I feel a lot better now that it has been confirmed. I just hope we will be able to choose different relationships between Miis.
- My dad took me to the doctor today to get me referred to a neurologist, so I am happy that we got that done. My doctor will probably give my dad an update within 7-10 days she said. And soon after, I hope to have a neurology appointment set up. I am a bit nervous to see a neurologist, but I am also intrigued all the same.
