What Are You Happy About Today?

Today was okay; mood wasn’t the best but it got better as the day went on.

I got a unit that I didn’t have from a free multi-pull in a game I play.

I got a lot done with my animal crossing database lists today 🙂.

I got some snuggles from Jewels today and she sat on my lap for a little bit 🥰; she rarely sits on my lap.

I had a nice chat with @Xara ☺️.

I had fun playing Among Us today even though I kept getting the big maps as imposter in hide and seek 😅. I got a decent amount of snacks 😸.

My mom made me some Mexican rice today.

I’m kinda enjoying the event in Genshin. Was very excited to see two of my top favorite characters in the scenes :D.

That’s it for now 🙂. I’m going to play some more Persona 5 and probably work more on my lists.
 
What happened yesterday:
- I received an A on a group presentation about culture jamming. Basically, we made parodies on ads. Some other group members in the class picked the same topic we did, and we roasted the crap out of companies for mistreating their employees, lmao. I only have to complete my final exam and then I'm done.
- Woke up early at 6 AM for a Livestream on Zoom about anatomy drawing. The artist gave a lot of useful tips that really helped to simplify the process of drawing the figure. I immediately went to bed afterwards since I'm not a morning person.

What happened today:
- I went for a walk outside and saw a monarch butterfly.
- Worked on a sketch of Emma Watson and finished the skin tone, so now I just need to complete the hair. Can't wait to start an art thread soon.
- Had a nice, savory dinner of rice with kebab and salad.
- Played AC: New Horizons and found some amazing houses on the Happy Home Network that inspired me. I'm really not good at interior designs. Like if some players are interior designers, I'd be an interior destroyer, lol.
 
It was our third anniversary yesterday. We went to see an incredible performance of The Importance of Being Earnest. They kept finding excuses to replace the cast with members from the audience, until the point the finale was entirely audience members. It was fantastic.
 
No exams today so I woke up at nine. Stayed in my pajamas for most of the morning, made chocolate cake with my dad and sis, since my dad found a box of cake mix in the press. It sunk a bit in the middle but it was still delicious. I made chocolate icing for it, but we didn't have much sugar left so it was a bit sparse lol. Got plenty of studying done in biology (I have a combined science exam coming up again) and realised it's actually pretty easy? Like why did I think it was harder lol. I might change that to be one of the subjects I do for leaving cert instead of history (since I didn't even ask to do history in the first place, I just got signed up for it by the principal? Idk man my school is weird). Met my bro yesterday, and we bought some Easter eggs that were on sale because they were dirt cheap. Also! I finally fixed my phone camera (turns out putting wrinkled tape over it to keep the lense on is what made the quality so bad. Huh, who would have thought? All I had to do was make sure the tape wasn't wrinkled before I stuck it back on haha) so now I can take clear enough photos again, so I won't have to struggle through or use my sister's phone for TBT events anymore lol.
 
Feeling better than I have in days. Still have a headache lingering but it is better than it has been!

Went for a walk this morning. Picked myself up Taco Bell while I was out. 🌯 😋

My parents sent me birthday money at the start of the month (my birthday is the 18th). I put some of my own money towards it as well to finally replace my beat up Jordans with two new pairs of shoes. I usually only buy shoes that are all one colour but I'm loving the black & white ones!

I had the urge to bake about two hours ago, so on a whim I did exactly that. I made sultana and walnut cookies.

Made spaghetti bolognese for dinner. Now looking forward to relaxing.
 
  • the weather is so nice !!!! it's super sunny, not super windy rn, it makes me so happy
  • cash office was easy peasy, we weren't under by that much so no need for extra paperwork
  • frontline wasn't so bad either, i didn't come across that many returns and the transactions i had weren't super big so they were quick!
  • after my shift, i found my sister who was at the mall shopping and i was able to get a bag from coach for my mom heh and my sister found a yoga mat on clearance for herself then a big water dispenser for our mom
  • grabbed an iced brown sugar latte because wow it was getting kinda hot in the mall
  • the rest of the day will be just making things to bring to the mother's day luncheon that we're having tomorrow at my aunt's place!

Well big update, Red Cross had another day for their medical mission when I posted this so I was able to join them the other day! Got to interact with a lot of kids and socialize with the other members of Red Cross. Tiring day (we were at it all afternoon) but it was very fulfilling work! 🥹🩺 They're inviting me to become a first aid for an event soon, I'll definitely make some time!

Then yesterday I had nothing much going on so I unwound with some Stardew 🥳 Finally got around to fixing my house interior! Yayyy

Happy to be feeling better. Had a nice relaxing day off. We celebrated Mother’s Day today since I have to work tomorrow, made mom waffles for breakfast. Got her a cake and flowers and had a nice day together. Will take her out to lunch when she is feeling better.

Played some ACNH and made some progress decorating and placing paths in my farm area.

Happy we finally got some rain today since it’s been forever since we got any rain, it’s supposed to rain again tomorrow. Was able to get Aurora her two walks in between the rain. Thanks to the rain it wasn’t as hot today.

Had so much fun playing among us with everyone. Look forward to playing again tomorrow after work. Hope you are all having a great weekend.

- my mom loved all her mothers day stuff. It was just some paper and craft making supplies but she really liked everything. I also got her a coffee cup from her fav local coffee place.

- I've been playing a lot of the sims 4. I have the one same couple I've been playing forever and I just keep giving them de-aging potions so they can never age or die lol. Same with the pets. Their cats and horses shall live for all eternity.

- whenever I walk by my neighbours house their 10 year old kid holds up her bunny to the window to show me. I never asked her to do that but she must sense we're both bunny enthusiasts. I talk to her mom sometimes so she probs passed on the message that I too had bunnies
 
I got not one, but two of my favorite weapon in Breath of the Wild! The Feathered Edge. I also got two Feathered Spears. I defeated a Stone Talus and got a bunch of gems.

Me when I first saw the Feathered Edge: “Yes!!! Let’s go!!!”
 
the biggest thing: we have water!! and internet!! at the same time!!! 😭 We've had no water pressure since last weekend, then our internet line got cut while it was being fixed, then one of the new parts for our water system broke and we had no water at all for 12 hours lmao BUT it's all... finally fixed now....
☾ Saw the new episode of One Piece on Saturday morning before we lost internet!! Also only just realized today that they released two episodes on the first weekend after the break aksljflsdkjf, but we’ll hopefully catch up with the recap episode + next one next weekend!

☾ A few plushes I ordered all arrived at the same time Saturday and saved my life fr. Along with my yearly Alpacasso, I tried a build-your-own mystery bag of Amuse plushes, and I’m super happy with it!! ;w; The quality of the plushes were all good and it’s clear they actually listened to my answers on the form LOL. I even got one from a series I was secretly hoping for!! 😭

☾ With everything going on my motivation was not the best hhh, but I worked on art for a little bit!!

☾ We caught up on the rest of our weekend anime + some Youtube videos after our internet came back this evening!!

☾ And my mom was really happy with her Mother’s Day gifts!! She’s not normally a fan of bumper stickers, but she mentioned liking the WeRateDogs “tell your dog i said hi” one, so I got that for her and a matching t-shirt hehe 💚

What happened today:
- I ate a gyro wrap at a restaurant. Also, I bought my mom a strawberry cheesecake for Mother's Day.
- The weather was nice and sunny outside, so I went out for a walk.
