- Went for an Ultrasound on my hands, fingers and wrists this morning with a Rheumatologist specialist. I got the appointment via post during November so I was happy that today finally arrived. I previously attended him for an Ultrasound and found out more in that one appointment than attending my regular consultant/nurse on a regular basis. After the scan, I was told my joints do have inflammation and it needs to be calmed down. He offered me 2 options: to have steroids injections or to get a course of tablets. I didn’t expect any offer today as I thought I would have to contact and plead with my Rheumatology Nurse again. I opted for the tablets, as I’ve had the injections before and didn’t work. It’s only a temporary measure for relief, but I've been asking for help from my ‘care team’ only to fall on deaf ears. I call them, they say they will call back but haven't done so. He also told me if I didn’t hear from my consultant or nurse in about 3 weeks to contact them to see what options we can take to proceed before the temporary medication runs out. Hopefully I can collect them in a few days!
- Got Blossom some new toys, a hat and Easter treats. Will they last until Easter? Probably not!

- Tried 2 new variations of Pepsi: Strawberries and Cream, and Cream Soda. Both were nice, but the Cream Soda one was my favourite!
- Got a Japanese Import CD of Sir Elton John and Billy Joel - Live in Tokyo (1998). Really great fun to hear Elton singing Uptown Girl!
