What Are You Happy About Today?

Today is not over yet for me, but:
- one of my lectures was cancelled so I got to sleep in longer than I expected! I’ve been sleeping really bad lately so I was really grateful!
- my uni workshop also went shorter than expected and I had some nice chats with people I’m working with. Gives me more time to catch up on other stuff.
- I managed to find a good gift for a friends birthday coming up! I’ve always loved getting gifts for people.
- I finished my common room entry last night! Was a lot of fun to make, and now all I have left is my written entry.
-Can’t wait to draw this evening!
 
➣ I love my favorite person so much. I spent a good bit of time with her and she was super sweet.
➣ My cold sore is mostly healed. The expensive brand works so much better. After a few days of nothing happening with the cheap stuff, it heals a day later with the good cream. This is a situation where you do get what you pay for.
➣ I have the weekend off to play Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Additionally, I’ll be participating in the two Mario Party Superstars sessions. I was too busy for the second round, so I’m happy to play with everyone now and hopefully not come in last this time. Last Mario Party session screwed me, lol.
➣ I had a surprisingly decent day overall.
 
☾ The Moon Bunnies pulled through on the Scavenger Race in Space Camp yet again!! Even if we didn't win, I still had fun running around and trying to take photos as quickly as possible. ...Although I hope the neighbors didn't see me go outside just to pour honey on the sidewalk. 😅 At least we're moving next year!!
☾ I had time to finish the drawing I started yesterday—each of the Space Camp team mascots! I'm happy that I've been doing more art just for fun again too ;w;
☾ And I got to chill out in the living room and play Stardew Valley this evening! Alongside general farm upkeep I mainly focused on some chill Skull Cavern-ing, and completed two more Monster Eradication goals!! I'm just a few Pepper Rexes away from completing them all now! 🦖
 
Made it official that I'm moving out of my flat in 3 weeks 😊🙏🏼

Despite my anxiety, I told my flatmate in person that I'm moving and it went well. My new room is twice the size of what I've got now, it's a slightly newer house, and the people seem really cool. Can't wait 💞
 
I've been away from this thread while focusing on the event, but now that I've submitted all my major entries I'm back!

Just a highlight of the things I've been happy about over the past few weeks:

- Space Camp! I've been having a lot of fun with the events and my team. It's been a great experience as always! 🤍🐇🌑
- My husband and my dog! They've been sweet and loving. My husband is there for me when I need him. I love them dearly! 💞
- I've met some adorable dogs in my neighborhood. 🐶
- I've seen Mortimer, the bat, several times as well as a different bat one night. 🦇
- I saw a beautiful C8 Corvette parked on the road during our walk today. It was my first time getting a close up view. 🤩
- I dusted my desk and it looks so much better. It's been needing it for a while. 🧹

I hope you all have been well and have had lots of things to be happy about! 😊

I really missed seeing your daily posts in this thread, LadyDestani. And it's great that you saw a C8 Corvette! I guess we can give each other a high five since I spotted one too lol. Speaking of Corvettes, I'm not sure if you saw my older post, but an update dropped for Gran Turismo 7 the other day and the C1 Corvette got added to the game! I almost wanted to cry, especially since it was in colour red just like the one I saw in real life! I may or may not have spent a lot of time driving it. 😅

August 9, 2023 to August 11, 2023
  • At work, I was doing stuff as per usual. A couple of cars definitely caught my interest when they were being brought in for service. First, I got to assist my co-worker finding an issue from a Volkswagen Golf GTI Mk7! I was also told to rev the engine for a bit which was obviously the fun part for me hehehe. The second one worth mentioning is a 2003 Honda Element! Wait, what? It only had to be checked for something quickly, but I got to go for a test drive with it! It's pretty silly, but I genuinely got excited for that. Why? Because believe it or not, it appears as a drivable vehicle in the older Gran Turismo games! Anyways, an issue for the Element got quickly resolved after one of my co-workers fixed it.
  • Speaking of which, I got to play a bit of Gran Turismo 7 again and did some time trial runs. I took the Volkswagen Golf GTI for a drive like the one I mentioned earlier and I said to myself, "wow, the interior looks just like the one I was in at work". However, the main difference is that the one in-game had two doors while the one at work had four doors.
  • I worked on my passport for the event and made some progress.
  • I played Tears of the Kingdom and got some more headgear items after exploring in the depths! All that I got were a callback to the previous Zelda games and I love that.
  • I made some pixel art!
  • I bought a DVD of the Super Mario Bros. Movie, so I can watch it again with my sister whenever I like!

August 12, 2023
  • I had a pleasant surprise in the morning from @/jadetine telling me that she finally finished a drawing for me that I could use as my profile pic! Of course, I requested a certain birb to be drawn and I absolutely love the way he looks. 😭
  • I cooked some food for dinner and has some raw red onions on the side lol. I'm telling you, it tastes really great with it! 🧅
  • I've yet again made more progress on my passport.
