Hooray, another good day for me!

• Despite not getting as much as I would've hoped last night, I somehow felt energized throughout the day which doesn't happen very often! Perhaps the short time of me having a deep sleep helped with that and is all that I needed.
• I arrived at my college earlier than I anticipated, so I visited the dollar store while I had some time to spare. I could not believe that a Mazda 787B Hotwheels toy actually exists! I just had to purchase it as that was the last one left in the store!

While the livery itself is very different from the one in real life, it's still amazing how I managed to find this!

• College was pretty chill, so I got to complete a few things and submit my assignments.
• I made some stuff in Inkscape!
• I played Gran Turismo 7 and finished a race. However, half of the time spent playing was making a livery. What livery is that you ask? Well, if the Hotwheels toy I mentioned is anything to go by, you may find out in a moment...

Yeah, that's right, I replicated the livery of the Mazda 787B that I bought earlier today! I made the yellow stripes and racing number (btw, the font I used is Impact!), but please note that the logos and the Canadian flag were made by other people.

And here are a couple of race photos to see it in action! I'm duking it out against the 1989 Mercedes-Benz Sauber Mercedes C9.

Now I'm racing against another Mazda 787B. The one in orange and green is the real livery!

Finally, here are the two photos below comparing the Hotwheels I bought and the livery I replicated in-game.

The racing number at the front has been partially chipped off, but I'm not really bothered by it in all honesty.

• It's the start of the weekend so I can relax for a couple of days!

not much to say today, but I have a few things:

★ went to the doctor today and luckily this back pain isn't a nerve pinch nor is it muscular. he recommended that I take ibuprofen and do some stretches for it, and if the pain persists well into next week he will refer me to a chiropractor. honestly I'm thinking I'll ask him to refer me anyways, I feel like a chiropractor would help me a lot, in general as well as for my back.

★ since my doctor's office is in a different city, I went to a few places while I was out. I went to a thrift store and found an unused blank VHS tape for 99 cents, and I went to a retro game store and picked up a copy of Halo 2 for $10! I have a lot of nostalgia for that game, I didn't play it as a kid (bc I was awful at FPS games and still am tbh) but my brother did and he was/is obsessed w Halo stuff. I'm gonna try to play through the campaign on normal, dunno how well it'll go though haha

★ I've been playing New Super Mario Bros 2 a lot lately, I think I mentioned it in my last post here. but I just unlocked the flower world and world 4 this evening (unlocking the flower world was so hard for no reason ksjdflksj). I'm having a lot of fun playing it!

★ despite dealing w a lot of back pain today and even having a few tears bc of it, I've ended my day on a good note with exploring multiplayer maps in Halo 2 as well as chatting a bit with @/Shellzilla_515 and my friend

☾ Today was busy but we got a lot done! We donated a whole load of things—my back wasn't terribly thrilled with all the boxes I was moving around, but I think I'm alright now.
☾ Afterwards though I managed to work in some time to play a little Minecraft and Rune Factory 5! I managed an easy first place win in the Tricky Treats Contest too.
☾ And I spent the evening hanging out with my mom and playing Pokémon Legends: Arceus! ^^ Stayed up a little later than I meant to, but it's the weekend ahaha. I got a lot of research tasks completed, cleared the Path of Solitude with a few more Pokémon, and of course recovered as many player satchels as I could!

• Got to play Animal Crossing (my main island) this morning. Finally spoke to Buck who commented it has been 2 months since we last spoke!
• I know I mention Blossom a lot here, but she fell asleep on the sofa with me this afternoon and it was lovely to watch her so settled.
• Took Blossom for a shower and she was a lot more calm than the last time, thankfully.
• Listened to Honky Chateau 50th Anniversary CD again. The demo sessions are brilliant! I could listen to ‘Mona Lisas and Mad Hatters’ all day long.
• Watched ’The Unlucky Winner’ from series 6 of ‘Only Fools and Horses, and a few episodes of ‘Father Ted’.

It's been rainy so I'm making homemade chicken stock and soup.

➣ My birth certificate arrived in the mail. No way am I letting it in the hands of my grandma because she lost the previous one. She insisted on holding it because she thought I was careless.
➣ I am working next Saturday at my other job, and I’m excited for the overtime. I do actually have a second job but I’m “on call” so it’s only when I’m needed. If the overtime thing is confusing, the second job is a store owned by the same company as my first job, so any hours worked there are overtime.
➣ The Los Angeles Kings are playing very well this season and might make some noise in the playoffs. It’s been quite a while since I could honestly say that.
➣ As a carry-on only traveler, my mom said I can put anything that can’t go in my backpack in her checked luggage when we go on vacation. Let’s just say she’ll be carrying two or three bottles of my favorite soda in her suitcase. It’s only an hour and a half flight, so most likely they’ll be safe.

I was able to exercise today after I got back from work

I started watching some shows I've put on hiatus because I have more free time like One Piece and My Hero.

I don't have work tomorrow so I can sleep in and also stay up later to watch some shows, play some games, and just do whatever I want to.

I cleaned up a lot of clutter I had in different places, mostly closets, and got rid of what was useless and sold some stuff to others for extra cash. It wasn't doing me any good just collecting dust somewhere and I can use it for expenses elsewhere. It was annoying getting a ton of people asking if I could ship all the way to their state when it's supposed to be local only, but whatever I sold and got rid of a good bit of stuff.

It’s all dark and rainy so I’ve just collected some sushi from my favourite restaurant and heading home to watch movies all day with my husband and cat

Today I'm happy because:

- I finally got some decent sleep last night and got to sleep in this morning. I felt normal today instead of exhausted.
- The weather wasn't too bad. It's been cloudy and a bit rainy but warm enough at least.
- My dog was really cute and playful. He's also been relatively good today.
- I got to spend a lot of quality time with my husband.
- I played some games and watched some anime, including the season finale of My Hero Academia.
- After tweaking things for a week, I've finally got the silverware organized the way I want.
- I got some dark chocolate raspberry sorbet ice cream bars at the store last night. I tried one this evening and it was amazing.
- I had a really relaxing shower and put on some fresh clean pajamas.
- I have tomorrow off too so I'm looking forward to more sleep and hopefully another good day.

☾ Watched Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and Fairy Tail with my parents this morning! We're finally starting the last season of Fairy Tail aaaaaaa
☾ I played Rune Factory 5 for a good while today! Trying to get my second file caught up with (roughly) where I'm at on the other since I'd like to keep them relatively even.
☾ Finished an art request for @/xSuperMario64x! I had fun trying out a new coloring style too. ^^
☾ My family and I watched Grian's Limited Life episode from yesterday this evening! It was such perfect chaos ahahaha
☾ And I found some new official art of a few of my comfort characters!! ;w;

It's been a great day for me mainly because of one point that I'll get into eventually!

• It was raining today and I felt a little relaxed by it even though I had to drive to places and complete a couple of errands.
• I heard that a new update for Gran Turismo 7 will come sometime next week. Some people have already figured out what cars will be added next and I'm a little excited to try them out if they are correct.
• My mother bought some ice cream!
• I had spaghetti from Jollibee for lunch.
• The main highlight of the day for me and gets pretty lengthy with a few spoilers, so feel free to skip this point. Surprisingly, it has nothing to do with cars. Anyways, I couldn't hold back anymore and decided to buy the booster course pass for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe! My sister wanted to join in and play the game as well while getting some laughs and having lots of fun as a result. Since I never touched Mario Kart Tour, it was a totally new experience for me to go on those tracks that originated from that game. There are still some I have yet to race on and I'm pretty excited about that. My main highlight for me is playing on tracks that originated from Mario Kart Super Circuit for the GBA. Aside from Sky Garden which has been underwhelming for me in terms of its layout (still has a fire soundtrack, though!), Snow Land, Boo Lake, and Riverside Park made me really happy seeing them significantly updated to modern standards and not being 100% flat lol. Super Circuit is finally getting the love it deserves and delivering with visuals that are very appealing. Plus, the soundtrack is pretty great in my opinion! Why I bring this part up because it's the first Mario Kart that I've been introduced to many years ago back when I was still in elementary school, so it means a lot to me in a way. For those interested, I'll drop down some pics comparing the Super Circuit and the MK8D version for those who are not too familiar with it (though you could always just look it up online lol)!

Personally not too impressed by the modern version of Sky Garden, though I heard the layout itself originated from Tour.

Half of the course is underwater! It actually makes sense that it's called Boo Lake as the one in Super Circuit is just a dark void lol.

Did I mention that I love sunsets? It makes the course even better for me haha.

I love how the loop section takes place in the cave. It really brings more atmosphere to the track.

I was shocked when these ptooies literally walk off the ramp and fall into the water like it's nothing to them. They make cute little noises when they move!

To wrap it off, Super Circuit has these funny images for each course you select in the game lol.

Ribbon Road is in the same cup as Snow Land!

Funny how aside from Bowser Castle 2, the rest of the circuits appear in Mario Kart 8 as well.

When I was really young, I always thought that Yoshi is about to gulp down the banana peel lol.

• Because of the booster course pass I bought, I decided to play Mario Kart Super Circuit again after not touching it for a very long time. Even after all these years, I'm still getting some entertainment out of it and smiling. It's a relief that my GBA is still going.

• And finally, I got to have a wonderful chat with @/xSuperMario64x and a good portion of it was about Mario stuff.

Today I'm happy because:

- I slept well and got to sleep in this morning.
- The weather was warm and beautiful all day.
- I saw a lot of dogs on our walk and when we went out.
- I had a very productive day. I did 2 loads of laundry, cleaned the sink, and cleaned the toilet.
- I also relaxed with some games and watched some TV with my husband.

➣ I felt very loved by my favorite person. I swear I lose all feeling in my legs when she picks me up but that’s okay since she doesn’t let go until I do. Hearing “I love you” from her after a long day is just what I need. I said if I’m too much sometimes I’d tone it down, but she said she loves me the way I am. And that is why I appreciate her. She’d never ask me to change myself to appease her and I like that.
➣ The power finally came back on tonight, and I am going to play Mario Kart 8 tomorrow night with my favorite person. I’m looking forward to that. It’s been a while since we last played.
➣ I bought a MagSafe portable charger. It was a pain to figure out how to use it but I finally cracked the code. It just has to be aligned in a very specific way for it to charge.
➣ I got a commission from @/xSuperMario64x! I always liked their style and just had to jump on it when that thread showed up. I’m happy with the outcome!
