What Are You Happy About Today?

Quite a few good things today (technically yesterday February 8, 2023)!

• To start off the morning, I was pleasantly surprised to see a drawing that @/BrokenSanity made for me yet again, except it's actually a part of our art trade! I still haven't started it yet thanks to college and other irl stuff, but I will lol.

Spoiler: What is it?

They drew my animal villager, Pag-asa! I love how they drew his feathers because he looks extra fluffy now haha. I only requested BrokenSanity to draw my villager, but they went further by adding in Sterling as well, which is @/xSuperMario64x's fursona/villager! This is an awesome drawing. The fact that they're both wearing racing suits is a nice detail considering I keep mentioning four-wheeled vehicles in my posts in this thread. I wouldn't be surprised if Sterling decided to drive a Beetle or a Sambabus that's been engine swapped to almost go 300 km/h. Meanwhile, Pag-asa overshot a corner in a Toyota MR2 GT-S and went to mow some grass lol.

• The weather was sunny and clear!
• I tried something new and ate at Burger's Priest! Not much difference in terms of taste compared to Five Guys, but the food still tastes pretty good!
• I got to play a little bit of Gran Turismo 7.
• I watched the Nintendo Direct today and while the majority of the stuff didn't interest me, I was happy to see a few more details about The Legend of Zelda - Tears of the Kingdom at the end! I'm really excited when it finally releases in May!
• I had a really tasty dinner.
• I got to play F1 22 again and completed the race weekend in Spain. The next stop is Canada (aka the country I live in lol)!

☾ I didn't actually watch the Nintendo Direct, but I did look at summaries afterwards, and yooo there's some pretty exciting stuff?? I'm hoping Fashion Dreamer will be good since I enjoyed Style Savvy: Styling Star and it looks to be a successor to the series, and even though I've only started playing the original Fantasy Life recently, I'm really excited for the sequel because it's been a ton of fun!! The new one looks promising and the graphics style is super cute. I'm just hoping it'll have at least the same range of body type options as the original FL; I love being able to play as a chubby character. ;w;
☾ Did my ACNH dailies again today!
☾ Saw some more art of one of my faves!
☾ Some of the neighborhood cats were being really cute today, and I got to see two of them cuddling.
☾ Also got to play Rune Factory 5 for a little while, and was able to finish my prep work and get through Atohl's End!
☾ My parents and I watched TheOrionSound's next episode of Empires, and my mom and I caught up on a couple other channels we watch too! ^^

- My brother came over for dinner last night, and we entered the final details for our flight in 2 months!
- I actually slept for 7 hours last night, from 9 pm until 4 am. This is a big deal for me, I don't think I've slept through a night for like a year lol
- Wore a cute outfit to uni today!
- Got a lot of prep work done in the library for my classes tomorrow
- It was just a really nice day, it was sunny and I could see leaves budding on all the trees, a big sign that spring is coming
- Washed my hair then had a nap after I got home

⟡ I got something personal taken care of that I’ve been meaning to take care of. I’m happy it’s all sorted out and ready to be ordered when the time comes! It’s a Croconaw wall graphic, because why not? I’m showing it on a dark background since the colors pop more, but the sticker itself is a cutout.

⟡ I saw my favorite person today and I swear she’s more affectionate each time she sees me. I haven’t felt this loved by anyone. We’re going to play some Mario Kart together tonight. I’m looking forward to racing with her after she gets off work tonight!!
⟡ I have a delicious meal to eat! I’ve only recently discovered these were a thing at Chili’s and they are amazing. They have just enough flavor for my tastebuds.

⟡ I already received my tax refund and my paycheck on top of that. I’m also pretty stress-free at the moment. I’ve noticed that my stress levels have been incredibly low lately so that makes me happy!

I wanted to post in here because even though I'm not particularly happy rn I did make a good discovery today.

I've had a pretty dog**** day ngl, and at one point it got so bad that I decided to text a crisis hotline. They gave me a few resources, and I found one place that's actually in my town, not too far from where I live, that specializes in rehabilitating patients with mental health issues as well as victims of abuse/alcoholism/etc. they offer individual therapy and also group therapy, and I think there are some other services they offer to promote the wellbeing of their patients. it's not a hospital, basically just a rehab facility that I would go to like 1-3 times a week. I definitely want to give them a call tomorrow, if they could help me with my troubles that would be amazing.

I currently don't really feel well, my eyes are burning from sobbing all evening and I'm honestly just stressed and tired. but I have a little bit of hope now that I know someplace that I can potentially reach out to for help. I just took my sleeping meds so I'm gonna go curl up with my dog and fall asleep listening to yt videos (prob poofesure haha).


I also got to talk to my brother for a bit this evening so that was nice, I like hearing from him.

Today I'm happy because:

- It was another nice, warm day.
- I made it through the work day and only have one more day to go until my week off.
- Justin Jefferson won Offensive Player of the Year!
- My mom finally got a credit limit increase.
- Tomorrow is Friday!

xSuperMariox your frustration is valid - I'm glad you've found some help you need though. I hope it all works out tomorrow for your sake and your mental healths sake.

-Today I'm happy because I'm more relaxed than usual. Honestly I'm quite an anxious person so it's good to have a break.
-Tomorrow night my family and I will go to a Korean bbq place a few miles away. I have never tried Korean food before and honestly I feel a bit reluctant to try it because im pretty picky. But I am gonna force myself to do it, I need to get out of my comfort zone and who knows I might find something I love. I am actually pretty excited to find out what food is there and to spend time with my family.
-I was able to play new leaf again today. I am kind of sad because Phoebe is moving out soon. I love her but I had decided earlier on that I would let every villager move in/out "naturally" (if they ask to leave they leave, and don't kick out new villagers I hate). I love uchi villagers. I sent her a good bye letter today
-went out on a hike today with a big group of people and it was so fun
-my dog has been very cute and sweet lately. The other day I saw her curling up with my fav blanket because it has my scent on it and she was a bit scared so she wanted some comfort. She loves me
-I know that everything is gonna be ok.

- I'm happy that it's Friday so I have 4 days off university, all my classes start super early this semester, which means I have to get up at 6:40 everyday, a nightmare for someone as nocturnal as I am! These past 3 days have been so tiring for me,,

- Despite today being a strike day, my classes went ahead, so I didn't waste money on buying train tickets

Another gorgeous day (although unseasonably warm).

Got a lot of yardwork done. - Working on this section where pricker bushes really took over. Cut them all back the other day, and today I spent several hours ripping them out by the roots. Definitely not easy work...but also quite rewarding. A good day's work.

The feeling of exhaustion from working in the dirt and sun is always one of my favorites. Now I'm ready for dinner. Lol.

I get to see my fiancé tonight! I’m going to cook lemon chicken soup for dinner, and we might play some stardew valley!

I'm happy that I get to go through with the side stories in my island journal. I find passion in expanding stories of other character interactions and writing through the perspective of others about the island. I'm finished with the first side story so I hope I could complete the second and third one involving Raymond and Sherb.

Hopefully, I could finish 3 of them and end with an epilogue for the island journal tying together loose ends.

♡ I bought myself a one-year NSO membership! I ended up doing trades in AC:NH today, but at least I got a lot of things done! I'm most likely gonna play The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap tomorrow, via the newly-added GBA games on the Switch. Can't wait!

♡ Me and my brother decided to put our money together so we can buy Zelda Tears of the Kingdom when it releases in three months! (It's never too early to start saving. We're both excited for the game!) So far we have $94.45!

♡ I watched Linkus7's Ocarina of Time-Majora's Mask randomizer video with my brother, and it was very entertaining! I can't wait for the next video, especially since he just got the Master Sword.

♡ Watched a bit of South Park. I finished the episode I was watching this morning, and I thought it was hilarious. XD

♡ Found a new System of a Down song I like, and it's called Aerials!

♡ I have no school on Monday, so I have a three-day weekend!

- I did really well at work today and provided a huge boost that was appreciated.

- I played some more Genshin Impact today and have a rough idea of what kinds of teams I want to use now.

- The Dallas Mavericks play the Sacramento Kings tonight! Won't be able to watch it, and I'm not sure Luka will be playing, but hopefully we can sneak away with a win.

- Going to go hangout tomorrow and watch the Dallas Stars take on the Tampa Bay Lightning in Dallas around midday. Should be an exciting hockey game.

- I'm glad it's the weekend and I get Monday off from work! I'm going to play a lot more Fire Emblem Engage and Genshin as well as watch more anime.

Today I'm happy because:

- Even though I didn't get as much accomplished at work as I'd hoped, I did get everything set up for my back-ups next week.

- I'm officially done with work for the next 10 days! Unofficially, I still have to log in this weekend to complete one thing, but it shouldn't take too long.

- I had a good visit with my chiropractor today and I'm down to just monthly adjustments now. That will save me some time and money.

- The bathroom is finally 100% complete! They came by today and finished the threshold, so that's it. No more waiting on contractors.

- I've been enjoying the new book I'm reading quite a bit. It's shifted perspectives from the previous books in the series and I like it.

- I've decided to get back into journaling. I've been building up a bit more stress lately and that's been a good way to release it in the past. I didn't mean to quit anyway. It just kind of happened because I got so busy, but now I'm going to make time.

- I'm getting excited about watching the Super Bowl this weekend even though I don't really have a team I'm rooting for.

- And I'm really getting excited about my planned aquarium/safari date with my husband on Valentine's Day. I was talking to some people today who had been to the same place and one of them got to feed a capybara. I can't wait to see all the cool animals and interact with some of them!

☆ I am over my sickness! I started feeling better around two days ago! NOW IM PERFECT AND SLAYING AGAIN WTH HAPPINESS!
☆ At school on Thursday we had to present our essays and we all made PowerPoints to go with them! I HAD SO MUCH FUN and it w☺as a joy presenting but kind of scary to the whole grade (The other classes watching us had to write down and fill out a sheet of paper on one presentation they liked best and SOMEBODY IDK WHO said that I did flawless and they loved it so much that I deserve an A+. IM CRYING OMG SO SWEET)
☆ Me and all my friends are scheduling and we are going to go out together! This will be my like 4th time I have ever done stuff with friends outside of school! Im so excited! We might go to the library or out to eat or something fun!
☆ I had a fun day just relaxing and listening to all my favorite music! (Vocaloid/Project Sekai, Fifth Harmony, Meghain Trainor, AKB48, Lizzo)
☆ MY GRADES ARE EATING SO HARD IM SO PROUD OMG! I HAVE BEEN TRYING SOOO HARD AND STUDYING SO MUCH AND BEING BUSY SO MUCHIE LIFE IS BETTER WITHOUT P.E THO HAHAHAHAHAHA I HATED RUINING MY CLOTHES AND SHOES EVERYDAY
☆ I played ACNL and made some progress with my town and a LOVELY friend helped me get all the flowers I wanted to decorate my town for spring! Im so excited for Green Grass and to go back to my normal outfit!

Happy because Tomorrow I am going out to get an SD card for my 3DS. It did not come with it (probably because customer service at that store was not great. I had to ask the employee to get a stylus, he didn't put it in there originally and he wasn't in a helpful mood, but that's another story). I got Pokémon Sun for my 3DS because I kind of share it with my friends and they wanted that game. (I actually don't like Pokémon that much, unpopular opinion, but I am getting sidetracked again.) For some reason it wouldn't run without the SD card so I'll have to buy one at the nearest retro game shop!

Besides I couldn't take SSs without the SD card so now we'll be able to take Screenshots.

My family and I went to the Korean barbecue place for dinner with our church group. It was really fun, got to catch up with people and eat a lot a lot of meat. It was all you can eat AND grill your own. And it was so delicious. The bulgogi and marinated ribs!!! Mm, I am still so full. then we got some ice cream at the end, I got lavender flavor and it was nice although overpowering. I would 10/10 come back to the restaurant and so glad I've tried new foods.

I was feeling pretty lazy/burned out at school today and luckily for me we didn't have to do much. So happy for that. Also found out since I was on a field trip yesterday that I didn't have any make up work to do!!! Not only that but I've been doing pretty well on recent essays.

Was stressed out about a research paper but I realized it wasn't gonna be too bad

Oh and I'm about to play new leaf. I will probably time travel a little but it's not much.

Soon I am gonna have a 4 day weekend next week so.... I'll finally have some time off

Yesterday:
☾ I played Rune Factory 5 for a little while!
☾ My family and I watched GeminiTay's latest episode of Empires!

And today:
☾ My mom and I got through with running errands just in time to catch Solidarity's Minecraft livestream today! We were only planning to watch it for a few minutes at first, but then we both got really invested in it and stayed for the whole thing ahahaha
☾ I made it through the Gadeus Grasslands in RF5! There was so much good treasure there; I feel rich ;w;
☾ And I also got to play ACNH this evening! I'm not quite caught up with my missed dailies, but I did get a lot of crafting done again.
☾ I got some early Valentine's treats!! Some little heart-shaped snack cakes and apricot/raspberry jam cookies, both of which I love.
☾ My family and I watched GoodTimesWithScar's newest Hermitcraft video too! The castle build is already looking amazing so far. ^^
☾ I'm taking Monday and Tuesday off and really looking forward to just chilling out and doing whatever for the next few days!!
