What Are You Happy About Today?

This year I grew brusslesprouts, broccoli, and celery. Mostly just for experimentation since I wanted to see how they grow. Both the broccoli and brusslesprout plants have yielded and it was fun to see how the sprouts grew on the stalk of the leafy plant and have to be snapped off.

The celery is kind of a late bloomer. I thought it wasn't doing well, but apparently it takes about 200 days for maturity...so I might not actually get anything considering by then it will probably be late fall and too cold for it to thrive 😅

Not the best yield for the broccoli this time, but it's at the end of its run so I'll probably pull out the plant soon. The sprouts are still going strong and I baked both in the oven and they turned out amazing!

- My mom got me my own clarinet!

- I got a haircut the other day. My hair was around mid-chest length and now it's shoulder-length, so it's easier to style more androgynously!

- I get to see one of my best friends today after not seeing them for around a year! We're going to see K-Pop Demon Hunters like the nerds we are :3

I was able to trap and spay a feral cat in my neighborhood who had already been through several pregnancies. I named her Georgina! During surgery, the vet also removed a large hernia that could have been fatal. She’ll be getting a quiet 3-day stay to recover before being released. I’m so happy knowing she won’t have to struggle through more pregnancies and has a much better chance at a healthy life! 🩶🤍

She's so cute! I'm sure she's thankful you helped her.

I have lovely friends and I'm very lucky to know them. I have not always been around nice people... times have not always been this full of whimsy and love.

Georgina is beautiful! Major kudos to you for doing something so kind and getting her the care she needed. 🐈‍⬛

- I had a nice and savory breakfast.
- Finished the drawing of Emma Watson in colored pencils. I used an online tutorial to draw her, and having an artist to guide me through the process was really helpful.
- Went for a walk outside in the afternoon.
- Caught up with some anime in the evening.
