Sorry we haven't responded to any posts in here over the last few months. Hopefully we can be a lot quicker with answering your questions moving forward!
So, I'm kind of unsure about this and I'd want to make a post about it, if allowed.
Are we allowed to make threads about modding games? Specifically I want to make a thread about modding Animal Crossing Pocket Camp, and it's really just save file editing. Is that permitted here or does that run too close to something Nintendo wouldn't want?
Thanks.
While we're okay with people giving their opinions on modding, we don't allow for actual discussion of hacking your games/consoles (
1.4 Prohibited Content), so I'd say no in this instance.
Potentially a noob question, but is there a thread or category in TBT dedicated to adult users? Maybe even like 21+? As an older user I feel like it would be nice to help adult TBTers find each other.
(I would post this in site feedback but it's closed)
Ty!
No thread like this exists to my knowledge, and none of our boards are restricted by age either.
So maybe I used to not come on when it was happening so I never saw it, but there seems to be an influx of Russian bots. What is that all about? Feels like there's a bot breach everyday now.
Generally speaking, there have always been bots that have attempted to get on the forums and post their garbage for years now. Usually they end up being caught and cleaned up before most people see them, whether through the forum software catching them when they register or us being online soon after they make a post, but things faltered back in August/September and they were able to stay up far longer than they should have. Things should be back in a state where we're able to take care of them right away, but if you see a bot, just report it and we'll handle it as soon as any of us are online!
Also, I don't think the ads should be doing this. They've been doing it for a while, but every time I forget to take a screenshot. It actually starts off huge. Like takes over the entire forum before it slowly shrinks itself down to the bottom. But if you scroll up the ad will cover everything below. As you can see on the 2nd pic. It's easy to just refresh the page, but also pretty sure this is the type of ad you don't want.

I know I already posted about this, but this is a very intrusive ad if you ask me and really shouldn't be on the forum.

I'm unsure if this has been resolved or not, but since this is an issue only administrators can handle, you'd be better off making a thread about this (or any other ad-related issues) in
Contact the Staff so that way they are able to see it more easily.
I read the seashell information section, but I'm still confused. My account is older than 2 years and I (just recently) got 20 posts. Am I still able to get 10 seashells? Or is there something I'm missing? Thank you!
Seashells were first implemented in
May 2016. Any users such as yourself who registered prior to
October 2015 would only receive a maximum of 10 seashells, as they would've been eligible for welcome bells back then.
Pretty random question but I'm curious, what's the longest someone's account can get banned off TBT? (Aside from permanent bans or account deletion.)
We currently don't have a strict guideline for the maximum length somebody can be temporarily banned, though somewhere within the realm of 1-2 years would be the longest we'd consider if we don't choose to permanently ban them.
