Redd needs to appear more often...

i'm definitely in the minority here but i think Redd's spawn rates shouldn't increase at all. The art exhibit isn't that large at all compared to the rest of the museum, and i really dont want to finish it in just a month or two.

If he appeared so often that i got to finish it quickly, it wouldn't feel nearly as exciting and satisfying in my opinion.

I agree that I wouldn't want to finish it in a month or two, but there are... 43 pieces of art? Even if you got the real one every time, that's going to take quite a while even if he was coming once a week. And I really would like to buy some fakes too

The weekly vendors now seem to be Leif, Sahara and kicks. I think Redd could easily take the place of one of them (maybe Sahara).

That’s actually exactly right according to recent datamining! The 3 you listed are guaranteed each week and then the other 2 weekday spots are filled at random by Gulliver, Label, CJ, Flick or Redd. Then the ones you missed out on get priority the next week.
I honestly think Leif should be switched out because nobody needs to buy bushes every week especially when his selection is so small, but you could make a case for Saharah too. Personally I like buying from her.

I agree, I think most people already have all the bushes they need from Leif. It would be great if they switched Leif out for Redd. I have been using my alt accounts to buy his fakes but even then, if you don't time travel, it will be a very long time before you complete your museum.

I love the Able sisters but Label should just chill sometimes. I got her two weeks in a row.

a month or two? there's 40+ art..... literally impossible to collect it that quick even for half a year, he sells fakes too you know? and repeats.

I agree. I rather see Gracie selling all those expensive furnitures like in New Leaf!

for sure sucks how little he appears and he was a large reason in me setting up a second character but i have a feeling its like this so theres yet another reason for people to want/need the online aspect of the game. i have small group of friend who whenever redd appears we tell each other in case theres a painting someone needs and thats the only way ive gotten the number paintings i have now with out TT

I liked how Redd worked in Wild World the best, I think. It was the highlight of my week when he came to my town, and it made getting all fake art very funny instead of annoying. Redd is also one of my favourite characters, and I'd rather see him more often.

I don't mind waiting to complete an exhibit, but on average, completing the art gallery without online trading should take 1-2 years, unless villagers sending art is way more common than I think it is. That's unreasonable to me because of the extremes past 2 years and the fact that most things in the museum can be done in a year. I think a year is a very reasonable amount of time to ask a player to work towards objectives, and I think only a very few things (like catalogue completion) should take much longer. The average player will play for a few months at best, I think a year's worth of play is plenty of dedication, and collecting art is fun. I understand many players here will actually disagree with that aspect of my stance, because TBT has a lot of dedicated players who play for years.

and to add to this, there’s a chance that when you finally get him he can sell exclusively fake art and i’m sure i’m not the only one who wants extra copies of certain art pieces for decorating purposes

i remember restarting my new leaf town, around early 2018. and i still have not completed all the art i think. to this day. yes, i stopped playing regularly by 2019, but that just says a lot. it will really take time even when he does appear once a week. and we know this. i never ask that i complete the collection in a hurry. but because new leaf you'll get like 8-9 buildings in the market area, it distributes the visiting NPC's more fairly. comparing to new horizons, we also have new visiting NPC's so we get too many NPC's in random rotation.

I like how he comes every once in a while so you can’t complete the museum as fast which then gives you a motive in the game, BUT maaaaan I think it’s a little too leisurely. Especially since there are occasions where he doesn’t have any real art pieces (found that out today, super disappointing considering I’m going to have to wait forever for his arrival)

I've gotten him 3 times so far which seems fair but I've heard of a lot of people not getting him as often.

However I don't remember him showing up that often in New Leaf either? I don't really know for sure though...

i've only gotten him twice aside from his mandatory visits, and one of those times he had fake art only :c it's times like these that i'm really grateful to have an ac friend group—i've gotten several genuine art pieces through them!
