Nook's Cranny Lego Set is being reviewed by LEGO

This is something I know I don’t need but I would still buy it in a heartbeat! So so cute! It just needs a little tom nook lego in the front and it would be complete! (Plus Timmy and Tommy, but you know how that goes “not included, each sold separately”)

Well LEGO mostly includes the characters and won't sell them separately :) Except maybe with some sets like the Diagon Alley in combination with the Harry Potter Minifigures blindbags. (Although still a lot of the HP characters are in the set).

OT: There's a small chance this is going to happen. Normally it's hard to get licensed build through the reviewing round, but it happened before. Not sure if the builder already has connections with Nintendo because that will make things a lot easier. Like the Wall-E set was made by someone from Pixar so that one got through (and is an amazing build). Ofcourse Nintendo en LEGO worked together recently so it can help a bit.

Only thing I'm mostly afraid of is the pricing. LEGO Ideas sets can be so expensive the last few years.

This is such a nice design. I'm not that into Lego, but I might consider buying this if I ever see it in a store. I guess stuff like this is one of the nice things about Animal Crossing becoming as popular as it has.

Also a Lego partnership feels kind of fitting because New Horizons is so focused on crafting.

I'd love to see a bunch of AC lego!! I absolutely loved lego as a kid and was considering buying more but it's quite expensive so I didn't want to just buy any old kit.. this looks perfect!

If Nintendo was willing to license it, I think an Animal Crossing LEGO set would be adorable! It'd definitely be a unique piece of merch.

I agree with you - this case of self-promotion doesn't really bother me. Both Nintendo and LEGO would benefit, and Nintendo would have to consent to these sets being made (through approving licensing), and the product is a toy that is creative and fun for people to enjoy.

this would look really good, and i know collectors would love this.

kinda doubt this would happen, or if licensing would even work out, but that model is really neatly designed.

i know it's really been a hot topic around here that other companies, or crossovers, or generally other establishments/people using animal crossing to self-promote leaves a bad taste for some, but personally i don't see it in that perspective. it doesn't bother me that ac is going mainstream. i think this is different from those other situations though, because both companies would benefit from this.

Thank you for sharing this. :) That is really adorable. If they do release some AC legos, I’d hope they’re a reasonable price. My nieces love legos and one of the sets they wanted (the eldest one) on her birthday was $60-$70. >< I would want this for myself and would love it if they released little lego figures for all of the different villagers (give me at least punchy and kiki).
