I think you've had enough of that stuff for now, maan.
Do you really think I'm on pot right now?

Well Kaleb, it's time for bed;

just take these two little pills....

I would hope that we wouldn't meet the aliens, because I think humans are too warlike and they might start something due to their fear of the unknown. :L

If aliens do exist and we were to meet them, hopefully both planets would be tolerant of the other's culture, and even better, would be interesting in learning about and befriending the other civilization, without feeling the need to convert them or some other such nonsense. ^^

I'll add the aliens' religion to my own religion, Nookism (which combines most of the world's religions, even the ancient ones).

Yay, more religions.

And I hope the aliens' religion has a bunch of gods, as that will add to my list of over three million gods. Yay, more gods.

I'm not even gonna read the last three pages because of the crap I saw on pages one and two.

Anyways, I honestly wouldn't know what to do. No where in the Bible does it say anything about aliens being the unchosen people of God or address aliens at all. The principal of the Bible, however, is that it is for everyone. If we did encounter aliens, it would be for them to. Although the Bible does not talk about them, that does not necessarily mean they do not exist. For example, in the book of Corinthians, although it is written for the Corinthians, it applies to the everyday living of other people (and aliens, if there were such a thing). I know I seem to be avoiding the main topic, but bear with me here, I'm just trying to cover all of my bases.
Since the Bible would be for everyone, it would be for the aliens as well. However, they would not go to hell. If it was a civilization without any way to know about God or heaven or hell, then they would be considered to be having the heart and mind of a child (depending on how they live their lives, however). A baby cannot comprehend most things, including a faith, so in turn, it would have no way to know about the Christian faith, so if it would die, it would be spared on account of its innocence. As is the case with the sick of mind (the ones that cannot comprehend anything) and in this case, aliens.
However, you also have to take into account what the aliens would be like. If they were like an animal (having no real reason), then they would not have a religion, for their life would just be based off of a simple animal instinct. Although, if they were a civilized situation, then it would be a completely different story.
They would not necessarily be all that different from Indian cultures, or the African cultures that cannot connect to an area with such a faith.
This is seriously racking my mind right now. I'm trying to wrap my mind around certain variables and trying to make this seem as logical and make as much sense as I can from a Christian standpoint.

Bacon, I know. I've been trying to determine it for the past three days.

How would the Bible apply to the aliens, though? God sent Jesus, his son, to save us the humans. His one and only son. Why didn't he save other cultures? But why would the Bible even bother to mention that, since it would only confuse our people of 2,000 years ago?

And what if the aliens had their own Bible? Wouldn't they think the same towards us, as in we're wrong and we are innocent, because we never heard of THEIR beliefs?

It's really just...mind blowing.

I've searched this on the Internet...never found a clear answer. Because no one knows, really, when it comes to this.

Scientists found a planet with possible life only 20 light years away, nearly identical to Earth, in its habitability. That was what spurred my thoughts.

But I'm saying, if the world expands beyond what we've always known (our precious planet Earth), then who in the universe would be right? Would the civilization two trillion light years away be right? Would that civilization in two galaxies over be right?

Or are we just completely correct, under our faith? Would the other civilizations believe the same as well? They'd think they are completely correct, as are we.

tl;dr

Maybe the aliens are ruled under different gods than our gods?

Okay, I read some of it. And there was one particular section that offended me a little.

So, you're saying that if you're not a Christian or any similar religions you go to hell?
The same thing could be said in other religions, too, just replacing it with other religions. You're acting like it's superior to other religions and that it's a confirmed fact. Now, it's just a theory that could be true, but could be not true.

But I do know one thing: if a religion from an alien planet (planets to be sure) matches one of Earth's religions, then that religion is the true religion.

Christianity is superior, if you are of that faith like I am. It's that way with any belief, like you said, just change the words.

Like I said earlier, I'm of the Nookism faith, my own religion, which combines all the major religions of the world, and some ancient ones, which results in over 3,000 (no, not meme related) gods, goddesses, and other godly beings.

You believe Christianity is superior, I believe Nookism is superior.
All goes well.

Kaleb already addressed the other issue. Every faith/religion states it is the only true religion/faith. So, in turn, the people that believe in it believe it's the only true one as well. I'm not going to be politically correct, so quit whining.

To the quoted area: That's like saying that if one tribe in Africa's religion is the same as the other's, it must be the only true one. That's flawed logic.
